Room was fine, nice microwave and fridge. But absolutely awful front desk people. Disgusting attitudes, asked me for documentation for my service dog which by law I'm not legally allowed to do. And when I told her that, she got a huge attitude with me. And then I called them the day I was checking out to ask a question about extended stay and the other lady was even worse. If you don't like your job, then work someone else but don't treat other people here like this. I will never be back here for that reason. Not to mention there's crackheads running around outside. But if you need a cheaper alternative then one night would be fine, but the workers are not nice. Whatsoever. Also there elevator sounds like it's going to break down any moment. They need it have it checked for sure .

As a property within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, WoodSpring Suites Allentown’s primary appeal lies in its focus on value and extended-stay essentials. Its location offers practical access to various points of interest in Allentown, including industrial areas, business parks, and local amenities, making it suitable for professionals on assignment, individuals undergoing relocation, or those seeking a more economical long-term lodging solution. The hotel's position allows for convenient access to major roadways, facilitating ease of travel to different parts of the Lehigh Valley.
The environment of WoodSpring Suites Allentown, as a dedicated extended-stay property, is generally minimalist and practical. The focus is on functionality over luxury. Guest feedback regarding the environment is mixed. Some describe the rooms as "fine," indicating a basic but acceptable standard. However, concerns have been raised about external factors, such as the presence of individuals described as "crackheads running around outside," which can impact the perception of safety and the overall neighborhood environment. Internally, there have been mentions of issues with the elevator sounding like it might break down, suggesting a need for maintenance attention. Conversely, aspects like a smooth check-in process and a generally positive first impression for some guests indicate that the hotel strives for efficiency and a certain level of hospitality. The ambiance is less about a resort feel and more about providing a clean, contained space for longer visits.
Regarding services, WoodSpring Suites Allentown offers core functionalities essential for extended stays. The front desk staff's performance varies significantly according to guest reviews. While some guests have praised check-in and check-out agents for being "Great" and having "great hospitality," with a shout-out to Manny for his service, other experiences detail "absolutely awful front desk people" with "disgusting attitudes." Specific concerns include inappropriate requests for service animal documentation, which is against legal guidelines, and a general lack of politeness. This indicates a potential inconsistency in customer service training or staff demeanor. The hotel does provide key and paperwork readiness upon arrival, which is a positive for late check-ins. While not explicitly stated in the reviews, typical services for extended-stay brands like WoodSpring Suites include on-site laundry facilities for guest use (often coin-operated) and basic housekeeping services (which may be less frequent for extended stays than at traditional hotels). The hotel likely has minimal common areas for gathering, aligning with its no-frills, extended-stay model where the focus is on in-room functionality.
The features of WoodSpring Suites Allentown are centered around providing apartment-style amenities within a hotel setting, catering specifically to extended-stay needs. A key feature universally found in WoodSpring Suites rooms is a fully equipped in-room kitchen. While the reviews specifically mention a "nice microwave and fridge," a typical setup also includes a stovetop and basic cooking utensils, allowing guests to prepare their own meals, which is a significant cost-saving benefit for long-term stays. This autonomy over dining contributes greatly to the "home away from home" feeling. The rooms are designed to be practical, offering a comfortable space for sleeping and living. While specific details on bed comfort or room size were not provided beyond "room was fine," the overall intent is to provide a functional and self-sufficient environment. It's important to note that, as a budget-friendly extended stay, features like pools, extensive fitness centers, or daily complimentary breakfast (beyond perhaps coffee in the lobby) are generally not standard at WoodSpring Suites properties, unlike some other extended-stay brands. However, pet-friendly policies are typically offered, which is a crucial feature for many long-term travelers. Complimentary Wi-Fi and parking are also usually included to enhance guest convenience.
Promotional information for WoodSpring Suites Allentown primarily emphasizes its affordability and suitability for extended stays, positioning it as a practical option within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category. The hotel's promotional efforts would highlight its competitive weekly and monthly rates, making it an attractive alternative to traditional hotels or apartment rentals for short-term needs. The inclusion of in-room kitchens is a major selling point, as it directly translates to savings on dining costs. While the brand does not typically offer loyalty programs or extensive luxury amenities, its value proposition is built on providing clean, basic, and functional accommodations at an accessible price point. Guests are encouraged to contact the hotel directly or check their official website for the best available rates, particularly for longer stays, as these rates are often significantly lower than nightly charges. The "cheaper alternative" aspect, as mentioned in a review, is a core part of its appeal. The hotel primarily caters to those who prioritize budget and the convenience of an in-room kitchen over a full-service hotel experience. While the reviews indicate some challenges with customer service and external environment, the core offering remains a practical solution for specific extended-stay needs.

May 19, 2025 · Carly kirbysonCheck in and Out Agents were Great, key and paperwork ready up on arrival even thou I came in late ! Shout out to Manny for his great hospitality as well! Give both a raise or something for great hospitality! 1st time trying this brand, really impressive!
Apr 26, 2025 · Sarah MaeThis location leaves me unsure how to feel. Let me start with the good. The price is good, rooms are a little outdated but clean and well-kept. The public areas are clean and quiet. They have an abundance of washers and dryers. Now for the negatives… this is a no frills hotel. You get two towels and two wash cloths, that’s it. No toiletries, no iron, no blow dryer, one roll of toilet paper. The beds are hard but I wasn’t expecting luxury for the price either. There was no ice machine and no where close by places (without a drive) to even get a water. This is a location that hosts long-term guests so expect to smell good cooking food wafting from the rooms at all hours, in the hallways and coming under your door. This location also allows cats and dogs and there is dog poop EVERYWHERE outside. But the thing that was more of an irritant was the amount of pot smoking. It was from 5am until far into the early morning hours. Inside, outside… everywhere. So would I stay again… ehhh… maybe.
Feb 03, 2025 · Joy WheatleyThe staff at this place is very weird I’ve stayed here multiple times and I’ve never had a problem with staying or paying. Here recently they like to secretly charge your card for random things without your permission. I went down to the front desk to speak with the staff just to ask why without my permission I’ve never not paid before and was told they have the right to do so and I’m not allowed to stay at this location anymore. Lol by the older short lady with short hair. This place literally has to beg for reviews it’s sad.
May 05, 2025 · Qui 4 PresidentA friend of mine recommended so I gave it a shot after I needed a place to stay from last minute plans. Very clean and phenomenal value, check in process was less than 5 mins. Definitely will stay again and would recommend to others!
