We spent a few days at the Aloft Hotel in Harlem last week, and the experience was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and accommodating—truly setting the tone for a great stay. Our room was just right—spacious, well-appointed, and equipped with everything we needed. We did run into a minor issue, but what impressed me most was how swiftly and professionally the staff handled it. Despite the hotel being quite busy with guests, they resolved it immediately without skipping a beat. That kind of service speaks volumes. No kidding—this is officially one of my go-to spots for both personal stays and company trips when I’m in the city. Harlem’s energy paired with this level of hospitality? Can’t beat it.

Apr 08, 2025 · William AdamsThe rooms were a good size per new York standards. The location was ok my biggest complaint was a terrible smell that was really strong. It smelled like a chemical smell to cover up bad odors. I could not sleep there due to the smell and would never go back.
Feb 12, 2025 · Rebecca RomaA 3-star hotel that feels like a 4-star one. Despite the carpet in all rooms, it is clean and has the gym. The only downside is the location: it's slightly far from Midtown (just less than half an hour) and in a neighborhood where you need to stay alert, especially at night. However, the New York subway, although dirty, is super efficient, so the location disadvantage becomes secondary. Mai at the front desk has been attentive to our requests and very nice and friendly, like the rest of the staff. For those who want to avoid spending a fortune in Times Square or nearby, I recommend it.
Oct 03, 2024 · Andrea VecchioneUnpleasant Front Desk Experience I was deeply disappointed with the front desk staff at this hotel. They were rude, unhelpful, and dismissive. Their attitude made the check-in process unnecessarily stressful, and they were unwilling to offer solutions. A hotel stay should be welcoming, but unfortunately, the customer service here was far from hospitable. I would not recommend this property unless they improve their staff training and commitment to guest satisfaction.
Nov 19, 2024 · Joseph G.I came here to have a few drinks and meet up with old friends and the bartender was very pleasant. She made our drinks very strong and kept them coming. Only issue was I wish they had something to nibble on while we were drinking. The patio area was a little dirty, and the fire pit wasn’t working so we were a little cold, but otherwise than that the experience was a 6/10
