VERY GOOD HOTEL IF YOU ARE TRAVELING ON A BUDGET! I stayed at this hotel with a friend while we were trying to save as much money as possible. We were lucky to find this hotel, which offers the best price you can find in Manhattan. The hotel is simple, so don’t expect a luxurious stay. I recommend the large room with a shared bathroom as it offers the best value. If you need more privacy, you can opt for a room with a private bathroom, but honestly, the shared bathroom is quite good—very clean and rarely used. (If you are a woman or traveling with a woman, you might want to choose a room with a private bathroom.) The location is definitely the best part—just a 5-minute walk to Central Park and the subway station. It’s also a great base for exploring the Upper West Side and Harlem. To go into more detail about the hotel itself, as mentioned, it’s very simple but also inexpensive (for NYC). The staff is not particularly friendly, but they are respectful. You might encounter some unusual things, but since you'll likely be exploring the city all day, you’ll only be using the hotel to sleep and leave in the morning. In summary, it’s a very good option if you want to save as much money as possible and spend the whole day exploring NYC.

Mar 13, 2025 · Danielle BRONSONWhen I walked through the hotel doors, the smell of cigarettes was so strong. When I complained the staff laughed in my face and told me to shut up. I went to my room and there was a rat crawling under the bed and the toilet was overflowing with poop water. It was disgusting but I had to drink it because there was no other running water. When I approached the staff again, the cussed me out. There were homeless people in the hotel and I think they were high.
Apr 30, 2024 · JajajahNot the best rooms but the location(Central Park) and prices make it manageable plus I don’t have any bedbug or rodent problems which is a great thing otherwise I would not go there. $95 for an overnight with shared bathroom is manageable only downside is 4pm check in time to 12pm next day check out. 12pm to 12pm would have been better.
