Mount Morris House NYC

Mount Morris House was a lovely, comfortable and spacious stay for us while we were in NYC. Peter is very helpful and accommodating. The rooms were an absolute treat. Don't make the mistake I made and buy parking at a lot or garage before arriving at the house. There is often plenty of free parking on the surrounding streets within a block of the house and it is a very nice neighborhood.

4.5 ratings. The house is like an old museum. You'll find surprise in all the cabinets and drawers. There're nice maps, tour guide left by previous guests. There's fridge at the back of my door and a fruit knife. Hot water boiler is bigger than the normal coffee machine. Room is vary spacious but I have to book at least 5 days for my stay during the new year. 3 of us stayed in the room with 1 queen bed and a sofa bed for 350 per night on their website. The place is very quiet and best fit a light sleeper like me. The 0.5 off is for the nut snack pack Peter provided free. I believe the cookie he baked/prepared in the jar every day is fresh and yummy. But some other snacks he put out looks like expired so pls check and take at your own risk : ) 这个房子不错，就是位置有一点点远，到哥伦比亚大学不远。

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mount Morris House during a visit with my family to New York City, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality by Peter. The check-in process was seamless, and we were quickly ushered into the room. The rooms were spacious, elegantly decorated, and immaculately clean, offering a perfect blend of modern comfort and historic charm. One of the highlights of my stay was the breathtaking view from my window overlooking Mount Morris Park. Waking up to the sight of lush greenery and historic brownstones was truly a treat, and it provided a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The attention to detail at Mount Morris House is truly commendable. From the slow jazzy music once you step into the building to the luxurious bath amenities, every aspect of our stay was thoughtfully prepared to ensure maximum comfort and relaxation. The location of Mount Morris House was also great. Situated in the heart of Harlem, it offers easy access to some of the city's top attractions, including Central Park, the Apollo Theater, an array of vibrant restaurants and shops as well as bus and subway stops direct to the city center. Overall, my experience at Mount Morris House was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of gracious hospitality, stunning accommodation, and prime location makes it the perfect choice for anyone looking to experience the best of New York City in style. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mount Morris. We journeyed all over Manhattan for work commitments, and it was great to return to the quiet haven of the apartment at day’s end. It is close to local eateries and grocery shops, and a short walk to either 116th or 125th subway for access to 4, 5 and 6 lines. The tips and advice provided by Peter were greatly appreciated. He really went the extra mile to attend to our many requests and questions and provided excellent local knowledge to enhance our stay. We would love to stay again, and have no hesitation in giving our highest recommendation.

I absolutely loved Mount Morris house - it is a haven of peace, elegance and antiquity. It is a home, a luxurious, otherworldly one, and not simply a guest house. Peter is a fabulous host and cannot do enough to make the stay comfortable and memorable. Spacious rooms, beautiful decorated, with fine furniture, comfortable bed, fantastic shower, home-baked cookies.
