Absolutely horrible. We were supposed to stay for a week and left after the first night and went to a different hotel. It smelled like stale beer and urine. The fridge had stuff left in it. I felt like there were bugs crawling on me all night and woke up with several bug bites. The tub didn't drain. The bathroom fan didn't work. There was something that looked like blood on the inside of the shower curtain. There was something stuck in the carpet that stabbed into my foot. Definitely would not recommend.

Jul 28, 2025 · Jessica ScovilleWe booked a two double bed room. If you are a family of three and two people need to share the 2 double beds, then the beds are too narrow and you will have an uncomfortable sleepless night. This was our experience but the owner refused to listen and says that all the hotel room beds in all of Iowa and the USA are the same. This is false. We have stayed in other hotels comfortably. Queen beds are wider than double beds. I booked for two nights but it was so uncomfortable that I decided that we should check out after one night. But since it was after 1:00 p.m. the owner charged us $25 late checkout fee even though we are Gold members. This was very inflexible and showed a lack of empathy. The property is not maintained well. We needed to use the bathroom in the lobby and it was very dirty. He should not have charged us the $25 late fee.
Jul 25, 2025 · Anil and Rita PhilipGiving 5 stars because although it isn’t the nicest hotel in the area, for what you get it’s a steal. The hotel is actually quite clean and smells good. The lobby area isn’t huge, but there was someone always cleaning, they have breakfast and a fireplace with a sitting area. When I arrived the staff was quick to literally run to help me as fast as they could. Check in and check out wee a breeze. The rooms are spacious and clean but do have some wear and tear. Nothing that’s a deal breaker for me. Sometimes the toilet acted up, but still never caused us an issue. The beds and pillows were comfy and the AC worked very well. It feels like the space has been going through renovation and I have stayed here three times now. It is close to shopping, restaurants and attractions. I will 100% stay here again too. They also have early check in and late check out options which is really nice. They do have a small pool and work out area.
May 05, 2025 · Devin GankaStayed here recently. With some of the other reviews you’d think this place should be condemned… That being said, for the price this place is fantastic! Greeted by courteous staff when we arrived. Room was clean and had everything we needed: comfortable bed and adequate shower. All appliances worked great. Breakfast in the morning had a good variety. My wife enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. Thank you for a comfortable stay, if we come back to the area we would definitely stay here again!
Mar 23, 2025 · Michael HesprichWas here on a work trip so I did not book this hotel. Room was booked for me. Room was decent. Had a queen size bed. Looked up the hotel before this week (7-20-25 thru 7-26-25) and stayed Monday night only (7-21-25). Saw the hotel had a fitness center (hooray!), but what I saw didn’t match the photos on reviews I saw online. The home gym style bench press/ pec deck fly/ lat pull down / leg extension combo machine was severely busted AND missing the all important pin in the plate stack used to adjust the weight you lift PLUS the row machine was missing the actual cable that allows you to.. y’know… row. Didn’t bother trying the treadmill or bike after seeing that. Also, don’t exactly love that pool is right in front of the main office and hall that everyone walks by. While I didn’t use the pool, I imagine you’d feel like you’re in a fishbowl in there with everyone looking through as they’re entering and exiting the hotel. Additionally, I’m not happy that I was charged $50 most likely because I left an empty shoe box behind that should just be part of the garbage they’re supposed to empty anyway. While not a terrible experience here, could use some improvement.
