I enjoyed my stay, except for 2 things, there was what sounded like a big dog that constantly barked. No napping after a long drive! I couldn't go swimming in the pool. It looked really gross, something was floating on top of the water. The weather was cloudy and overcast,but this was an indoor pool,it was during the week and they couldn't get it cleaned?

VERY CLEAN, very reasonable rates and a seriously nice space to be in when away from home! Great amenities and all the comforts of home, right down to silverware and cooking utensil selection. Large room with tons of space. For the money, this place is punching Way above it's weight class. Definitely staying here when I'm in the area! 👍😎🤠

I do a lot of traveling and i have great expierences most of the time with IHG hotels. This hotel is well located as its close to 380 for my commute to the clinics I work for. When I first came to Iowa for work the company had put me up at Staybridge Iowa city. ( Very nice staff and hotel). Then i started to report to another clinic in Cedar Rapids so I chose to switch hotels but, stayed with Staybridge In Cedar Rapids which is a part of IHG . We were excited as my wife was an IHG member and we could collect points while staying at another StayBridge Suites. We thought both standards together would produce an amazing stay and expierence. We were wrong however, before I go into the negatives I want to give credit to A few of the Staff that went above and beyond to make our stay better and were so kind and customer service driven they made you feel that someone cared and followed through on making any wrongs into rights. The night girl Tocarra was a sweet heart. She did everything with such a positive attitude and was extremely friendly and professional. There was another desk worker Kevin who wouldn't let a person go by without him greeting them. He went out of his way one night to come up to our rooms and show us how to use the stovetop while answering calls for reservations. He had my wife and I laughing like we were teenagers. My wife kept notes after our first experience with the young lady cook so we only thought it was fair to aknowledge the postive staff members too. Not knowing breakfast hours change on the weekend we were sitting in the lobby speaking with Kevin just waiting for breakfast and all of a sudden the cook (which we later found out) walked in at 6:38am with such attitude. My wife said there has to be another cook back there because breakfast was in 20 minutes. This girl cook turned out to be the devil in disquise. Immediately had attitude with her co worker Kevin, then proceeds to tell other guests to relax and be patient that the food will be ready when its ready. That morning my wife asked for milk and she mumbled something and rudely dropped it at our table. Here we are starting our stay and already having had multiple room issues the night before and nothing seemed to be done about the dirty sink, with ants and broken airconditioner and now we have this uninviting cook at breakfast being rude to everyone. Well the next day there were now 2 cooks. One sleeping on a chair and the other late again but, at least she had the yogurt on time. This was an issue the entire stay. The one manager addressed the cooks werent having it. Housekeeping did a good job as well. The one cook ruined someones morning every day we were down there. The gentleman cook seemed like he didn't want to be there or just sleep. We couldn't get the cooks names because when we asked Kevin "he didn't want to see anyone get reprimanded on his watch"We will give them another shot in hopes some changes have taken place. We loved our new room we got after a few days and social hour was always a great experience.

I am here for another week bit have been here for 3 weeks already, so my review is pretty valid if you ask me. My issues: 1)breakfast is pretty decent but they don't even have hot sauce, I've asked for the past 2 weeks and still none. Strawberries get emptied and never refilled. This is even worse on weekends when its full of messy kids which is another issue. 2)Kids running up and down the hallway and hogging/playing with the only elevator. There are signs but they never enforce them. I'm here on business, I want my rest. 3)no working telephone. Something you dont think you'll need much but you do because sometimes you simply want to call the front desk and you cant. I have asked over and over to no success. 4)weekly cleaning. It's supposed to be done once a week but they dont even wipe the tables. I am here for a month and by myself with no kids, it should be easy for them but I get no effort. The conclude, this will be my last stay at this place. I travel for work a lot, including other countries and this fell short even compared in comparison to all. The front desk ladies were nice but the housekeeping service and enforcement of kids running was subpar and feel management could have put mote effort to assure I had a good stay. I leave soon and I look forward to it. Edit: i paid $3,665.04 for my 30 day stay there and I am having trouble expending it because they charge me 3 times to break it up which would normally be ok, however, the amounts they charge dont amount to the days I stayed. Example, first charge was $2,072.36 which adds up to 17 days but they charged me after the 12th day so receipt doesn't bump up to the charge. This goes for the next two charges and receipts. I then spoke with the Manager Sinclair, who I already had trouble with there and she was going to send me proper receipts. I called a few hours later and was told she was working on it. I called again hours later and she was gone for the day, never received receipts. I called the next day and she will not be back until Monday. Wow, I give 30 days of business and this is the treatment I get. So now I speak with Alysha as the manager is gone and she was going to handle it and email to me but I never receive them. I call back 2 more time and she claims to have sent but nothing If you are in town for business, choose another place. Stay far away feom this place.

Rooms are very nice, bathrooms could use an update to match the living space. Receptacles in the room need attention as they are overdue for replacing. Plugs do not stay in most outlets.
