My sister, friend, and I booked a mini vacation for us and our children. 7/17/25-7/18/25. We thought that it would be great to get a hotel decently priced. Dead wrong. You pay for what you get. When we got there, checking in was going fine and then the receptionist, Kim, asked us to fill out our vehicle plate info. I had no ill tone in my voice when saying this (more of a surprised reaction) “Oh. I don’t think I’ve ever had to do that before” and in a snotty response Kim replied, “What? You’ve never had anyone protect your vehicle?” I said “sorry it was just different because I’ve stayed at plenty hotels and you don’t need to be speaking to me like this”. Then as I’m walking away, Kim yells, “you don’t have to stay here!” I can hear her and another person still talking about us and my family even out of the lobby. We get into the rooms and they are disgusting. My 7 year old was changing into her bathing suit in the bathroom and when she came out, she said “ew I’m definitely not taking a shower in there”. A seven year old saw how disgusting it was. The rolling desk chairs were stained. They have caps to bottles to prop up the fridges in the rooms. There is no phone in the rooms. There was what seemed to be skin flakes on the lamps. The key cards kept deactivating randomly. Then the next morning, I try to push the lever to make my daughter waffles as she requested and I pushed it a couple times but nothing was coming out. So I pushed it again and Kim comes walking in “stop forcing it!”. I stepped back and told her I have been pressing it like any other person would to get waffle mix. Kim then responded “we were going to try to fix it but I guess we won’t now”. (There was no sign on this machine or anything indicating it was needing fixed). Then I responded “no you’re going to fix this because my daughter wants waffles. Their breakfast is biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal, fruit, and only orange juice. I wish I could attach pictures to this because it was absolutely disgusting. This is a for warning to anyone checking out this place to stay. Don’t do it!!!!

Jul 21, 2025 · Roxanne McCullouchNot a family friendly place. Traveled to Iowa for a tournament. The rooms were not clean, hairs all over the bathroom (you know which kind!). Stained furniture, that's torn and broken down. Stains of unknown substances on the walls, floors in the hallways. Had a pool which was fine. Others had a room with bunk beds that were the cheap metal ones that you’re afraid are going to bust at any moment. The worst part is there were active drug deals going on outside of the building. And at least one person walking around with a gun in the breakfast area. Our entire hallway smelled like weed. I attempted to tell the manager about the issue and she downplayed it and essentially was saying she didn't believe me. She argued with me about the situation and kept saying people were smoking weed outside the hotel and it was blowing into the rooms. Did not take my concerns seriously at all. We left a night early as I did not feel safe staying with my 2 year old in the building. I attempted to get a refund and was told by management I would have to go up the chain of command. When I requested the phone number for that she gave me the reservation line number that could do nothing for me! I understand this stuff happens and management cannot always control it. But the fact I was questioned and told I wasn't being honest was not ok. Guns and drugs in your facility should not be tolerated
Jun 18, 2025 · Alexandra WildI had a really good experience during my stay at this hotel. The manager was welcoming, helpful, and professional throughout my visit, and a few other guests were also kind and respectful. The room was clean, comfortable, and I appreciated how easy it was to check in and get settled. However, I’ve noticed some of the reviews posted online about this place — and I have to say, they are deeply troubling, dishonest, and rooted in racism. Some of the comments are filled with misinformation and hateful stereotypes about Black people, painting an unfair and completely false narrative. Let me be clear: those reviews do not reflect the truth about this hotel or the people who stay here. They reflect the personal biases of individuals who are using public platforms to spread harmful, racist narratives — and that should never be tolerated. It’s disheartening to see false and deformational comments being used as a weapon to demean an entire group of people. That’s not just inappropriate — it’s dangerous. Thankfully, my actual experience with the staff and fellow guests was nothing like what those negative reviews claimed. The environment was peaceful, respectful, and safe. I hope that anyone reading those hateful reviews will look deeper, and I also hope the platform takes appropriate action to remove false and racist content. We should all be held to a higher standard — one based on truth, respect, and fairness.
Jul 11, 2025 · Brian GuidryNeeded a place to stay at 10 PM and the staff member at the front desk was super accommodating and able to help me out for a good price. They definitely are not the cleanest rooms I have ever seen, but it was totally appropriate for a night. No bugs & a clean bed in my room. They have a pool. Decent breakfast. Good parking. NO ELEVATOR.
Apr 28, 2025 · Brentnee MorrisBike broke down on a weekend trip. Only hotel left in town with a room available. The facility was extremely disappointing not only is it very dated the hallway and rooms were filthy. The constant smell of Marijuana is not covered by the glade plugs in they have in the hallways. It did not appear that they had cleaned or vacuumed, carpetIng was dirty with particles of who knows what all over it.The shower had black filth and hair, the couch someone's finger nail clippings. Our windows had broken glass and the screens were ripped. The check in clerk, Kim was very polite and helpful, but the facility it's self is near unfit. It's too bad I can't add the photos :(
