When searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the beautiful Lakes Region of Maine, the name Beach Pavilion & Lakeview at Route 302, Casco, ME 04015, USA, immediately points to a key component of the much larger and renowned Point Sebago Resort. Rather than a standalone hotel, Beach Pavilion & Lakeview refers to a significant hub within Point Sebago Resort, which is widely recognized as a premier family outdoor resort on the pristine shores of Sebago Lake. This destination offers a diverse range of accommodations and an extensive list of activities, making it a comprehensive choice for an engaging and memorable vacation.
The environment of Beach Pavilion & Lakeview, and by extension, Point Sebago Resort, is truly exceptional. Sprawled across 775 wooded acres along the northerly shores of Sebago Lake, the resort provides a picturesque lakefront setting. Sebago Lake, the second-largest and deepest of Maine's inland bodies of water, is famous for its "pristine and azure waters." The Beach Pavilion itself is situated at one end of a horseshoe-shaped beach, which is a focal point of resort activity. This location grants guests direct access to nearly a mile of sandy beach, perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying the expansive lake views. The surrounding environment is characterized by natural beauty, offering a refreshing escape with fresh air and ample space for outdoor enjoyment.
Point Sebago Resort, which encompasses Beach Pavilion & Lakeview, is well-known for its extensive services and non-stop activities, particularly catering to families. A standout feature is the complimentary children's day and evening programs, which are highly organized and engaging, as attested by enthusiastic parent reviews. These programs, held at "Chippy's Playhouse," allow parents some free time while ensuring kids have a "100% fun" experience, even enacting pirate cruises. Nightly entertainment, often featuring an "off Broadway caliber entertainment program," adds another layer of enjoyment for all ages. The staff is consistently described as "very friendly" and helpful, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere.
The resort offers a wide variety of accommodations to suit different tastes and budgets. While "Beach Pavilion & Lakeview" specifically suggests units with beach or lake views, the broader Point Sebago Resort provides over 550 sites, including:
Resort Cottages: Often clustered around the lakefront, beach, or woods, these provide a comfortable and convenient stay.
Vacation Homes: Larger units, some located on or near the championship golf course, ideal for bigger families or groups.
Park Homes: Available in standard or deluxe options, some located on or near the lake, offering a home-away-from-home feel.
RV and Tent Sites: For those who prefer a more traditional camping experience, the resort started as a campground in 1970 and continues to offer spacious and private sites.
Specific amenities within the accommodations vary but generally aim for comfort, even if described as "basic" for a campground setting. Guests can expect standard features for self-catering, though details on individual room amenities like Wi-Fi or air conditioning for each unit type are not explicitly detailed in the provided information. However, the resort as a whole provides Wi-Fi access in common areas. Many units would likely include kitchenettes or full kitchens, allowing guests to prepare their own meals, which is common for this type of resort.
Beyond lodging, the features at Point Sebago Resort are truly comprehensive. Key amenities include:
Dining Options: The Beach Pavilion itself contains two restaurants and two lounges. While one review for "The Landing Restaurant" highlights significant service issues and overpriced food, it's worth noting that the resort offers multiple dining venues. One review specifically mentioned an "Outstanding!" Cuban Sandwich with crispy fries, suggesting quality food can be found. The resort also has a snack bar/deli, providing convenient options for quick bites.
Championship Golf Course: Named the No. 1 golf course in Southern Maine by Golf Digest, the 18-hole championship course is a major draw for golfers, with packages available and a dedicated team for golf outings.
Marina and Watersports: The resort boasts a small marina with a fleet of sailboats, paddleboats, canoes, kayaks, and cruise pontoons, offering extensive opportunities for water-based recreation on Sebago Lake. Boat slip rentals are also available.
Sports Center: Features include six tennis courts, eight horseshoe pits, deep sand volleyball, basketball, and shuffleboard, catering to various athletic interests.
Outdoor Waterpark: A small outdoor waterpark located next to the Beach Pavilion provides family-friendly fun.
Sebago Square: This area serves as a central hub for souvenirs, internet use, fax machines, phones, and supplies, housing a small general store and outdoor café.
Playgrounds: A small playground is located just outside Chippy's Playhouse, catering to younger guests.
Promotional information for Beach Pavilion & Lakeview, as part of Point Sebago Resort, would emphasize its standing as "the Northeast's premier family outdoor resort." Key promotional angles would include:
Unbeatable Lakefront Access: Highlighting the nearly one mile of sandy beach on Sebago Lake, perfect for swimming, boating, and enjoying stunning lake views.
Family-Centric Programs: Emphasizing the award-winning, supervised children's day and evening programs, which are a major draw for families seeking both fun for their kids and some free time for themselves.
Diverse Recreational Activities: Promoting the championship golf course, extensive marina, various sports facilities, and nightly entertainment, ensuring there's always something to do for all ages and interests.
Variety of Accommodations: Showcasing the range from tent sites and RV spots to resort cottages and vacation homes, catering to different preferences for a "camping without owning a tent or trailer" or a more comfortable stay.
Convenient Location: Although offering a secluded feel, it's a 45-minute drive from Portland and within three hours of Boston, making it accessible for regional travelers. Proximity to North Windham for groceries and necessities would also be a plus.
Themed Events: The Beach Pavilion serves as a venue for many themed events during the week, adding excitement and variety to the guest experience.
Value for All-Inclusive Golf Vacation Packages: For golf enthusiasts, emphasizing the value proposition of packages that combine stay and golf.
While some reviews mention service issues in specific dining areas, the overall reputation of Point Sebago Resort is that of a highly active and family-friendly destination. For those searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Casco area, Beach Pavilion & Lakeview, as part of Point Sebago Resort, offers an immersive outdoor and recreational experience, especially during the warmer months when its vast array of activities come to life. May 19, 2025 · Raymond CalcagnoThe Landing Restaurant is a joke. 3 tables were filled in the whole restaurant, and took our table 45 minutes to get a cocktail menu. Half our table got 2 rounds of drinks before the rest of the table even got waters for our kids, let alone to even order our drinks. Asked multiple times for a kids menu/cocktail menu and was told they had neither. Had to get them ourselves from the hostess. Food is way over priced. 16$ for a mediocre burger that wasnt cooked correctly. 22$ for a small piece of fish and fries. Charged for onion rings we didn't even order, and they didn't even bring us our appetizers before the food. They also didn't give us our pretzels we ordered, and refused to take them off the bill along with the onion rings we didn't order. Will not be going back. Terrible service and managed so poorly.
Jul 02, 2023 · PJ LaBonteAmazing smash burger. For a single it was $9, $2.50 more for a double and $1 more for bacon
Aug 07, 2024 · Jackson ThiesLike time traveling 20 years back to the past! Use to come up every summer as a kid, but haven't been back for literally 20 years! Alot is just the same with just the right amounts of upgrades with out losing it's original charm. Happy to finally be able to bring my own son up here, and relive everything all over! Great place and will definitely be back for many more years and memories to come!
Jun 19, 2017 · Jason KentGood scene, family friendly but you can still have a beer... just be discrete walking the property. Golf cart rental is a must and process should be improved.
