We loved this hotel! The filtered ice and water near the elevators were perfect for keeping hydrated. The location is convenient and allows you to walk to many places. It’s about a three minute walk to Reading Terminal Market which was perfect for breakfast each day. There is also a Federal Donut shop in the lobby which is handy. The rooms were clean, comfortable and big enough for three adults to share comfortably. My only issue was with the door we shared to another room and hearing conversations (among other things) next door. The staff was friendly and helpful and the lobby areas had great places to hang out and get comfortable. We even brought back a pizza and cheesesteaks and the bar served us sodas in the library area. All in all, it was a great stay and I am now forever impressed with the Canopy brand and its very boutique feel.

Mar 20, 2025 · Anna ReiswigThe Canopy by Hilton is one of the coolest hotels I've ever stayed in. It's located right in downtown Philly, so your walking distance from Independence Hall, the Convention Center, and a mid-walk from the Museums. The entrance is out of the way from the main streets, so you don't have to deal with the hustle and bustle at the end of the day. The interior is an interesting mix of modern and vintage art. The rooms were very nice to stay in, wooden floors, modern TVs with streaming apps, and comfy beds. The hotel even a paid breakfast snack if you'd like. The staff was polite, and helped answers some questions I had about the area. There is a restaurant in the hotel, or a more affordable Federal Donuts if your one the go. Overall, I would love to stay here again.
Apr 13, 2025 · A CHotel is conveniently located in Center City. It's a couple blocks from city hall, and a couple blocks from Reading Market and the Fashion District. There's a donut shop attached to the lobby, with a bagel place and brewpub across the street. It's about a 15 minute walk to Independence Hall/Liberty Bell, and the Museum of the American Revolution is another couple blocks east. Art Museum and Franklin Institute are walkable, but it's like 30-40 min, so we just drove. The hotel itself is great...very clean with a retro vibe. Not sure when it was built, but if I had to guess it's only a couple years old. All of the public spaces are in great shape. I'd definitely stay here again.
Apr 16, 2025 · Jason TerrellI was a frequent customer and had been staying at this hotel 3-4 times a month and am a Hilton Honors Diamond member. On my last 2 stays, I was given a room with a non-functioning bathroom and was charged twice for overnight Valet parking. When I discussed this with Felicia (front desk manager) she was extremely rude, condescending and dismissive and never returned my subsequent calls regarding the issue. I did talk to Hilton corporate and they assured me they’d open an investigation and rectify the issue on their end. I don’t know if Felicia is a new manager but I am very reluctant to stay there again which is unfortunate because it’s a very nice hotel with a great location. I am just hoping other people who stay here don’t have similar experiences and Hilton makes some changes to this location to provide better customer service.
May 16, 2025 · Sarah Overhiser, DVMLoved the aesthetic. All premium decor and trim, brass fittings, top-quality Art Deco vibe. Brick paver, urban oasis block with twinkling lights hung above hotel-facing Ludlow Street and side alley. High ceilings and ample space in rooms with consistency of decor spilling over even into the design of the pull-over, bedside table. The blue and gold theme is reminiscent of 20’s and 30’s Art Deco decor bringing the wonder of “a sky full of stars” to mind. “Yessy” was such a kind and helpful receptionist. We were well-accommodated and taken care of. Classy place. Elevated our volleyball tournament!
