Beautiful New England B&B Farm House. The owner went above and beyond to take care of us. We felt like family. From having homemade dairy free cookies for my wife to having dairy free cornbread with local eggs, bacon, tomatoes ,homemade crumble and wheat bread! The room was comfortable with air conditioning. My wife and I can't say enough nice things! If I could give 10 stars I would!

Highly recommend! This is an absolutely beautiful B&B minutes away from Shaker Village and very close to the Lakes Region in central New Hampshire. Beautifully renovated home with tasteful decor and conveniently located in the quintessential New England village of Canterbury. Lois is a lovely and thoughtful host. I loved my room and only regret is that I could not have stayed longer. Serene, quiet, aesthetically pleasing. WIFI is strong. Surrounding grounds and gardens are also very pretty. Breakfast was delicious: eggs cooked perfectly with herbs and tomatoes from the garden, bacon with drizzle of local, organic maple syrup, fruit plate, coffee, juice. Because it's such a small B&B (currently 3 rooms, expanding to 4 in 2018), she can accommodate guests' individual needs. A total treat to stay here. My favorite B&B experience by far.

Lois and Howard were exceptional hosts. They did everything possible to make us feel comfortable including many accommodations for my husband’s limited diet. If we lived closer, we would make staying there a regular treat.

Lois is an amazing hostess, the home is charming, the breakfasts are delicious and beautifully presented, and the area is delightful to explore. Would highly recommend this BnB! We will definitely return when we are vacationing again in this area!

My husband and I popped up to this charming locale the tail-end of this past week for my 32nd Birthday and I can say with certainty that it is the nicest B & B and I have been to in New England. The evening rolled into night with some delightful conversation with the charming host, Lois and some piping hot Earl Gray tea served up in the traditional sense with a quilted tea cozy, a family heirloom tray and large comforting mugs. A perfect greeting after our commute across the Massachusetts/ New Hampshire state boundry. Quaint antique shops, rickidty yet charming and picturesque farm stands, quintessential New England steeples are some of the many visual stimuli dotting the landscape along with world-renowned autumn foliage The breakfast was a delight and featured a hot pudding that could be described at a Charlotte or Crumble, with the fruits blueberry and peach being featured. Fresh local jam was featured, and other local products where sourced from other small businesses known on a friendly basis. These included locally sourced sour bread and fruit jam. The resident cat Fiona was a delight and is open to strangers, who are gentle and caring of course, holding her and she purrs with gratitude. A charming feline, indeed! She is confined to the downstairs, lest there be confusion, the upstairs are pet-free consult with owner for specific questions. Included are some photographs of the beauty of New Hampshire, specifically the White Mountains. The scenic beauty of New Hampshire is the main reason to come and stay at the delightful Canterbury Bed & Breakfast.
