A two story hotel room!! How cool?!? Yes, the hotel is dated, but definitely fine. An indoor swimming pool and game room helped keep us entertained. The views are amazing, with many birds(including ducks, geese, swans)!! The staff was very helpful and polite. My 4 year old keeps asking to go back. Is it a sparkling perfect hotel? No. Is it charming and nice? Absolutely!

Unlike some of the private rentals or highly specialized resorts, the Chateau offers a more traditional hotel experience with the added benefit of resort-like amenities and conference facilities. It serves as a versatile destination, catering to leisure guests seeking a comfortable stay near attractions and also to corporate or group events. The resort can be contacted via phone at (570) 629-5900 or mobile at +1 570-629-5900. The environment of the Chateau Resort & Conference Center is one of its most highlighted attributes. Situated on Camelback Road, it benefits from stunning "amazing views" of the surrounding Pocono Mountains. This provides a picturesque backdrop for guests, contributing to a sense of tranquility and connection with nature, despite being conveniently located near popular attractions. Reviews specifically mention the presence of "many birds, including ducks, geese, swans," suggesting a natural, perhaps even lakeside or pond-side, setting that enhances the scenic beauty and allows for wildlife observation. While some guests describe the hotel as "dated," this often refers to the interior decor or architectural style, which may be more traditional rather than ultra-modern. However, this dated aspect is frequently balanced by its "charming and nice" character, creating an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. The overall environment, despite any perceived lack of modern polish in certain areas, offers a relaxing retreat with natural beauty at its doorstep. The proximity to Camelback Mountain also means the environment is active and vibrant during peak seasons, with the energy of outdoor enthusiasts flowing into the area. The air quality and natural surroundings contribute to a refreshing and peaceful stay.
In terms of services, the Chateau Resort & Conference Center operates as a full-service hotel, providing amenities and support typically expected from such an establishment. Customer reviews commend the staff as "very helpful and polite," indicating a commitment to guest satisfaction and a positive service experience. While specific services like room service or a concierge were not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews, a resort and conference center of this type usually offers standard hotel services. The presence of a "conference center" implies a dedicated team and facilities to cater to meetings, events, and group gatherings, including planning assistance, catering services, and audio-visual support for business clients. For leisure guests, the staff's helpfulness contributes to a smooth stay, addressing inquiries and concerns efficiently. The convenience of an indoor swimming pool and game room suggests that guest entertainment and leisure are considered, implying staff availability for these areas. Even if the hotel is "dated" in some aspects, the core service of providing a welcoming atmosphere and responsive staff is a strong point. Guests can expect a structured check-in and check-out process, and general assistance from the front desk throughout their stay. The overall service philosophy appears to prioritize guest comfort and a positive interaction with the hotel team.
The features of the Chateau Resort & Conference Center are designed to cater to both leisure and business travelers. A notable feature mentioned by a delighted guest is the "two story hotel room," which is a unique and "cool" offering, providing a sense of spaciousness and novelty that sets it apart from conventional single-level hotel rooms. This particular room type likely includes a living area on one level and a sleeping area on another, offering more distinct zones for relaxation and rest. The presence of an "indoor swimming pool and game room" are significant recreational features, particularly beneficial for families and for entertainment during inclement weather. These amenities ensure that guests, especially children, have options for keeping "entertained." The "amazing views" from the hotel are also a key feature, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the stay. While the hotel is acknowledged as "dated" in some areas, implying that some furnishings or decor might not be cutting-edge, it is consistently described as "fine" and "charming and nice," suggesting that functionality and comfort are not compromised. The presence of "period furnishings" in a charming context could also be considered a feature, appealing to those who appreciate a classic aesthetic. The negative feedback regarding "stinky carpeting in the hallways and the elevator" points to an area where maintenance and upkeep of common area features could be improved, but it doesn't detract from the core offerings of the rooms and key recreational facilities. The combination of varied room types, recreational amenities, and scenic views forms the core features of the Chateau Resort.
From a promotional standpoint, the Chateau Resort & Conference Center can effectively position itself within the "Hotels Near Of Me" category by highlighting its unique features and appealing value proposition. The "two story hotel room" is a distinctive selling point that can be prominently featured in marketing materials to attract guests seeking an unusual and spacious lodging experience. The "amazing views" and the presence of wildlife (ducks, geese, swans) can be used to promote the serene and picturesque natural environment. The resort's family-friendly aspects, such as the "indoor swimming pool and game room," along with a child's desire to "go back," clearly indicate its appeal to families, which can be a strong promotional angle. While acknowledging that it may not be a "sparkling perfect hotel" in terms of modern aesthetics, the promotional message can focus on its "charming and nice" character and its overall value proposition, especially for those seeking a comfortable and affordable stay in the Poconos. Its dual function as a resort and conference center allows for targeted promotions to both leisure travelers and corporate clients, emphasizing its versatility and capacity for various events. Proximity to Camelback Mountain attractions (skiing, waterpark) would also be a crucial promotional element, appealing to guests looking for convenient access to outdoor activities. The "helpful and polite" staff further reinforces its service quality, ensuring a pleasant stay. The Chateau Resort can attract guests who prioritize a characterful, family-friendly, and scenic Poconos experience over cutting-edge modernity, offering a reliable and charming base for their visit.

Apr 26, 2025 · Traci CherThis is a little gem of a hotel. An older hotel but the rooms are spacious. The views are awesome. Could use a little sprucing up but other than that it served it's purpose. Only downfall, someone definitely needs to wash the carpeting in the hallways and the elevator cuz it stinks. Thank you!
May 05, 2025 · MV-angel61I'm from less than an hour away from here, came up here to go to mount airy casino on new years. That hotel was booked. This hotel was like 150 on new years! Yes it's a little old, kind of like coming to your grandpa's place. But it has lots of amenities! Pool is open til 10pm! Inside because it's winter and nicely heater. Small gaming room. Pet friendly. Kid friendly. Very nice area. And beautiful view from our room. They had a free party for new years we attended. It's not a high class place but with all the cool stuff and price id stay again!
Jan 01, 2025 · Angel BrowderMy dog almost choked on a hole in a ripped curtain. These fools not only didn’t apologize for almost killing my dog. But ended up charging me for already ripped curtain. This place is full of visible mold! Sauna doesn’t work. Balcony door doesn’t close all the way so you get a breeze all the time. Heaters are manual. Some are set to max and you get headaches from both mold and too much heat. All the windows are filthy. If they don’t even bother cleaning windows think about carpet, beds… I was itching all the time to. Owned and operated by Indians. Smells like curry in the entire hotel. Both front and back doors don’t always work. Many roof tiles are laying on the ground. So mold is only gonna get worth. Authorities need to shut them down due to hazard and negligence. Also smells like alcohol and throw up. Because those carpets never got deep cleaned. Just regular vacuum. Visible stains everywhere. No breakfast. I was afraid to try their bar food since it was completely empty. I travel a lot for business and this is by far the dirtiest hotel ( this can’t even be called motel) in America. Camelback resort is a bit more expansive but that’s where I stay now. There are more cheaper hotels in the area if you’re looking for a bargain. Also this place offers no shuttle! Stay away from this place. At least inspect the room if you think this isn’t a real review. Good luck fellow skiers and snowboarders!
Feb 16, 2025 · alex zI really like this place. It has beautiful views as well as friendly and accommodating staff. The rooms are spacious. There is an indoor pool, sauna, and a small arcade. It is also pet friendly. This place has great potential. That said, this place could definitely use some tlc. The rooms are dated with wear and tear. There was only one elevator working, and that was a hassle during check-in and check-out times. However, we still had a great time. Again, I really like this place! I would definitely return.
