Maintenance and upkeep is terrible. When we arrived, a smoke detector was chirping. Instead of them changing the battery, they just left one for us to do it. The remote for the A/C was also dead and batteries were just left there. For another remote, there were batteries just laying next to it. The chandelier in the dining room had two light bulbs out and a third went out during our stay. There were no replacements for those which made it very dim. There was at least one other light that was burnt out. The beds look more like college dorms because the sheets don't match. This was all just inside. One of the chairs outside the unit was broken too. This all pales in comparison to the "pool" area. Two dumpsters sit outside the unlocked fenced-in area. There was trash all around the dumpsters and they smelled. It didn't really affect the pool use though because that was a disaster area as you can see in the pictures. I guess it was cool to see the frog and tadpoles in the pool... I used to come here as a child and play basketball and tennis on the courts there. This was so depressing to see.

Mountain's Edge At Camelback Introduce

For local users exploring options on 'Hotels Near Of Me' for a stay near Tannersville, PA, Mountain's Edge At Camelback, located at 19 Ski Side Ct, Tannersville, PA 18372, USA, may appear as a potential choice. As a platform dedicated to connecting travelers with available accommodations, it's essential to provide a comprehensive and objective overview of what guests can anticipate from this specific property. This introduction will detail the environment, services, features, and relevant information, drawing from publicly available descriptions and recent guest experiences to offer a balanced perspective.

The environment surrounding Mountain's Edge At Camelback is inherently tied to its location. Situated on Ski Side Court, the property's name itself suggests proximity to the slopes of Camelback Mountain. This positioning offers the advantage of being close to winter sports activities, including skiing and snowboarding, as well as summer attractions like Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark and adventure courses. The natural setting of the Pocono Mountains typically provides a scenic backdrop, with opportunities for enjoying mountain views and fresh air. Guests might find themselves in a community setting, which can offer a sense of privacy compared to larger hotels, while still being part of a larger complex. However, it's important to note that the immediate surroundings of the unit, particularly communal areas, may vary in their upkeep. Recent feedback indicates that shared outdoor spaces, such as those near the pool, have experienced issues with cleanliness and maintenance, with descriptions of dumpsters and trash impacting the aesthetic and olfactory experience. This suggests that while the broader natural environment is appealing, the localized immediate environment of the property's communal facilities might fall short of expectations for some visitors.

Regarding services, guests at Mountain's Edge At Camelback should anticipate a self-catering vacation rental experience. While there isn't a traditional hotel front desk, communication with a property manager is typically part of the arrangement. However, guest experiences suggest that interactions with the property manager may be challenging, with reports of an "abrasive and bothersome" demeanor and strict adherence to rules, such as occupancy limits and pool access permissions. The process for using shared amenities like the pool, for example, requires prior permission requested by a specific time the day before, and even then, access may be denied regardless of apparent capacity. This indicates a highly controlled and potentially inflexible service approach to shared facilities. Basic upkeep services within the unit, such as replacing dead batteries or burnt-out light bulbs, appear to be left to the guests themselves, as evidenced by instances where replacements were provided for guests to install rather than being handled by staff. This suggests a more hands-off approach to immediate maintenance needs. Prospective guests should be prepared for a level of self-reliance regarding minor issues and proactive communication for any required permissions or assistance.

The features of Mountain's Edge At Camelback aim to provide a comfortable stay, particularly for groups or families. Units typically include multiple bedrooms and living spaces, catering to larger parties. Common features often include a kitchen, allowing for meal preparation, and possibly a living area for relaxation. However, it's crucial for prospective guests using 'Hotels Near Of Me' to scrutinize the details closely, as some advertised features may not align with expectations. For instance, what might be described as a "hot tub" could, in reality, be a jetted bathtub within a private bathroom rather than a separate, communal hot tub. Similarly, while air conditioning units may be present on some floors, central air conditioning may not be available throughout the entire unit, leaving some areas, like downstairs bedrooms, without climate control. Internal maintenance issues, such as mismatched sheets, burnt-out light bulbs without replacements, and missing kitchen essentials like sink stoppers, have been reported. These details suggest that while the fundamental structure of a vacation rental is present, the condition and completeness of internal amenities might vary. Externally, the condition of furniture, such as broken chairs, also indicates potential areas for improvement. The presence of amenities like basketball and tennis courts in the general area might be a historical feature, but recent reviews suggest these facilities are in disrepair and may not be usable.

Given the nature of vacation rentals and specific guest feedback for Mountain's Edge At Camelback, promotional information might be less about direct discounts and more about understanding what is included or excluded. While specific promotions would need to be verified through booking platforms or direct inquiry, guests should manage their expectations regarding the level of luxury or full-service amenities commonly associated with some hotel promotions. There isn't readily available information on specific promotional packages or deals for this property. Instead, the "promotional" aspect for users of 'Hotels Near Of Me' becomes about assessing value based on the objective information provided. For instance, if the primary goal is direct proximity to Camelback Mountain for skiing or waterpark access, and guests are prepared for the self-service nature and potential maintenance issues, then the location itself could be the primary draw. However, those seeking a well-maintained property with comprehensive amenities and a proactive, guest-focused management style may find the experience challenging based on reported issues. Therefore, any "promotional" consideration should heavily factor in the reported conditions and service approach, rather than relying solely on typical booking incentives. It is advisable to review recent guest photos and cross-reference descriptions carefully before booking, as the value proposition will heavily depend on individual priorities and tolerance for the noted discrepancies.

In conclusion, Mountain's Edge At Camelback, located at 19 Ski Side Ct, Tannersville, PA 18372, USA, offers a base near Camelback Mountain for those exploring the Poconos. While its location is advantageous for accessing local attractions, potential guests using 'Hotels Near Of Me' should be aware of reported concerns regarding the property's upkeep, the condition of communal amenities, and the property manager's service approach. The unit provides basic vacation rental features, but expectations for "hot tubs," central air conditioning, and prompt maintenance should be managed. An objective assessment suggests that while the location is a strong point, the overall guest experience may vary significantly based on individual expectations and tolerance for the noted challenges in maintenance and service delivery.

Property Manager was abrasive and bothersome. She admonished us throughout the week that we were only allowed to have 8 people in the place (even though the most we had all week was 7). You have to ask permission by 5p.m. the day before if you want to use the pool - this may be denied. Supposedly there were only 10 allowed at a time at the pool due to COVID, but we were denied several days (once because I called after 5 and she had already made her “list”) and then when we watched the next day to see who was down there, there were only 2-3 people at a time. Some of the amenities in the place are overstated...there is no “HOT TUB” - it is a jetted bathtub. There is NO central air conditioning - there are units on the upper two floors but none downstairs where two of the bedrooms are. Our kitchen sink didn’t even have a stopper; when I told the property manager and asked if we could have one, we were told “Not all the sinks have stoppers.” You would think this is something that a “property manager” would provide once informed that one was missing but you would be wrong. It is in a good area and could be a pretty decent place to stay if someone else was running it, but for our family, it wasn’t not worth the headache or the drama.

CAN ONLY SPEAK FOR APARTMENTS The apartments are run by an overly obnoxious manager, the owner won't fix anything and leaves it all up to the tenant. Aging apartments with bugs galore. Look up the owner- he is a shyster that was sued by the government -- gene percudani. Your electric bill will be 350$ plus in the winter , that's only for a 1br apt. Maintenance men come into your apt without notice, one was caught on camera stealing. Don't trust me? See the group text christine just sent out to everyone. Go look somewhere else this place is a section 8

A vacation for the DIYer. Change your own batteries in the smoke detector and remotes and replace your own lightbulbs. It's dirty and clear that the no one cares about maintaining the place. If you have kids, keep them close--the "pool" is now an abandoned cesspool with holes in the fence (and tadpoles to attract kids close to the edge).

If you've dreamt of a snowy mountain with a cozy cottage to stay in; this would be a great fit. My wife and I stayed a week recently. We are both skiers so having the Camelback Ski station a 2 minute drive away was AWESOME to say the least. The cottage is very warm and has everything one could want to come home to after a day on the slopes. Ahhhhh. It has dishware, coffee maker, pots, pans, blender; just bring your food. Clothing dryer came in handy for drying wet clothes from the snow. Response time when there was an issue was very good too. I brought a snow shovel with me just in case but Mountain View was spot on with a front end loader and snow removal on the walkways.
