The hotel is overdue for a serious renovation. The common areas were not only tired, they were deeply stained and dark. The so-called breakfast had watered down coffee and spoiled milk, dried out pastries and hardly any fruits. We ended up going out to breakfast after our first day there. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was in need of repair with the shower wall split by a large crack and the shower curtain rod at a precarious angle. During the time we were there very few other guests were present but those that were all shared the same floor and close-by rooms. There’s no daily cleanup. A request for extra towels created a brief panic until someone found a load recently out of the dryer. There are many hotels within a mile of this one. Some are recognizable brands others not so much. This is fine if you only need a clean bed and there’s a great NJ diner right nearby. If you want a place with a less dark and dank vibe you have other options.

Comfort Inn Bordentown near NJ Turnpike Introduce

Welcome to our detailed introduction to the Comfort Inn Bordentown near NJ Turnpike, a hotel that might appear when you search the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform category. This platform is designed to help local users quickly find accommodations that fit their needs and proximity requirements. We aim to provide a comprehensive and objective overview of this particular Comfort Inn location, drawing directly from available information and customer feedback to help you make an informed decision.

The Comfort Inn Bordentown near NJ Turnpike is situated at 1009 US-206, Bordentown, NJ 08505, USA. Its convenient location near the New Jersey Turnpike is a key aspect, making it a potential stop for travelers passing through the area or those needing accommodation close to major transportation routes. For direct inquiries, the hotel can be reached via phone at (609) 298-9111 or mobile at +1 609-298-9111.

When considering the environment of the Comfort Inn Bordentown, it's important to set realistic expectations based on recent guest experiences. The hotel’s common areas, as noted by visitors, have been described as appearing "tired," "deeply stained," and "dark," suggesting a need for renovation. This feedback indicates that the general ambiance upon arrival might not be as bright or modern as some guests prefer. It's an older property, and while its proximity to the Turnpike is a benefit, the interior aesthetics of shared spaces may reflect its age and usage over time. The presence of few other guests on the same floor and in close-by rooms, as observed by one visitor, could indicate a quieter stay, though it doesn't necessarily speak to the overall upkeep of the facility.

Regarding services, the hotel offers what it describes as "free breakfast." However, customer reviews paint a less flattering picture of this amenity. Descriptions include "watered down coffee," "spoiled milk," "dried out pastries," and "hardly any fruits." One guest specifically noted that the breakfast consisted primarily of "bread and a waffle iron," with no drinks available besides "hot water from the coffee machine" when asking for water. This suggests that the breakfast offering may be very basic and might not meet the expectations of guests looking for a substantial or varied start to their day. Many guests, after experiencing the breakfast, opted to find dining options elsewhere, with one review mentioning a "great NJ diner right nearby." This proximity to external dining establishments could be considered an indirect service or a practical workaround for the hotel's limited breakfast. Another key service consideration is daily cleanup. According to one review, there is "no daily cleanup." Requests for extra towels, while eventually fulfilled, reportedly caused a "brief panic," suggesting that amenity replenishment or housekeeping services might not be as seamless or readily available as in some other establishments.

Focusing on the features of the rooms, the feedback is mixed. Positive aspects highlight that the rooms themselves were generally found to be "clean," and the beds were described as "comfortable." This is a crucial feature for many travelers, as a clean and comfortable bed is often the primary requirement for a night's stay. However, the bathrooms in the rooms appear to be in need of attention, with issues such as a "shower wall split by a large crack" and a "shower curtain rod at a precarious angle" being reported. Furthermore, some guests noted that beds appeared "pretty used and not cleaned" based on wrinkles, and alarming observations such as ceilings looking "covered in mold" and missing fire detectors were raised. These latter points, if accurate, represent significant concerns regarding guest safety and hygiene, which are critical features for any accommodation. It's important for potential guests to weigh these reported conditions against the positive aspects of a clean and comfortable bed.

In terms of promotional information, the Comfort Inn brand typically promotes itself on convenience, value, and basic amenities. For this particular location, the main draw appears to be its strategic position "near NJ Turnpike." This makes it a practical choice for travelers seeking a stopover point rather than a destination in itself. Given the feedback, the hotel's strongest selling point seems to be its functionality as a place for a clean bed, particularly if you are in transit. The phrase "fine if you only need a clean bed" encapsulates the core offering. The proximity to local dining options, such as the "great NJ diner right nearby," also serves as a practical benefit, mitigating some of the hotel's internal amenity shortcomings. For guests using the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform, the Comfort Inn Bordentown could be promoted as a no-frills option for those prioritizing location and a comfortable sleeping space over extensive amenities or a modern aesthetic. It caters to a segment of travelers who are looking for a practical, perhaps overnight, stay without high expectations for luxury or extensive services.

To summarize for local users on the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform, the Comfort Inn Bordentown near NJ Turnpike offers a convenient location for those traveling via the NJ Turnpike. While guests can generally expect a clean and comfortable bed, the hotel's common areas and some room features show signs of age and wear, suggesting a renovation is due. The complimentary breakfast is basic and may not satisfy all guests, making the nearby diner a valuable alternative. This hotel appears to be a functional option for those seeking a straightforward place to sleep, prioritizing location and a comfortable bed over a modern environment or comprehensive services. It's best suited for travelers who need a practical stopover rather than an extended stay with full hotel amenities, and who are comfortable with a more utilitarian experience. Potential guests are advised to consider the reported conditions regarding maintenance and amenities when making their booking decision.

This place is gross and nasty. Their free breakfast was bread and a waffle iron. No drinks were available besides "hot water from the coffee machine" when I asked for a drink of water. Bed was pretty used and not cleaned. You can tell by the wrinkles. The ceiling looks like it's covered in mold. Where is my fire detector?????? I've been alot of places... won't be this one again .

The pictures are deceptive the rooms are disgusting. Dirty, old, ceiling covered in black dust. Bathroom disgusting. Bed stained. I walked in and walked out and was charged 297.00 in which I have to fight to get it back. Do not waste your time. The owner is rude and unprofessional. I can’t believe the health department hasn’t shut the property down. I wouldn’t let my dog stay there.

My family and I was traveling from Florida to visit New Jersey and I booked this hotel not knowing it was the worst hotel ever we stayed there for five days and it was the worst five days of my life. They don’t do housekeeping every day. It’s every three days I book on a Friday so therefore my housekeeping should’ve been done on Sunday they told me no I have to wait just overall my stay was just disgusting. The breakfast was not OK. There was no eggs. There was not like good breakfast stuff and the place smells bad my first room. The bed was wet. The roof was looking funny so they switched me to another room. It was just ewww never again.

I will 100% NOT recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit New Jersey. The reception desk guy named Mr. Gajjar is not professional and doesn't care how to talk to customers. The elevator is so stinky and dirty that you can't stand for a second inside. The lobby is not clean, the room was dirty and dusty. The bed was stinky. The closet was packed with an old microwave and no place to store the baggage. The bathtub was flooded with water. When I complained to Gajjar at the front desk about the situation of the room, that guy asked me, I can't help with this, you can check another room. I preferred that, and checked another room, which was still with the same situation, except the bathroom was little bit clean. I went back on the front desk and asked him to provide me a better option. But at this time that guy asked me - "I can't help you with your mentality". I was tired due to 12 hours of driving and was with family, so didn't want to make a scene at that time. I took the room and adjusted for a night. But checked out the next morning on March 30, by cutting down my stay instead of 3 nights to only 1 night. When I was checking out, I asked Gajjar about my refund, and he told me he couldn't do anything for the refund, and I needed to talk to the manager. He then told me that the manager could pick up the call if he wants. This is such an unprofessional treatment. I highly recommend avoiding this hotel for anyone to stay. I am not sure if I will be able to get my money back (at least for a 2-night stay), but definitely going to try for that.
