I flew in from Europe to the US to sit an exam, and I was looking for somewhere quiet yet close to NYC. I called the hotel beforehand and informed them of my situation. Fawn swiftly attended to my situation and looked after me. I stayed there for a week and it was a perfect stay and ticked all my requirements. The location is great. The hotel is about a 15-minute bus ride into the city (there are multiple lines passing right outside the hotel). Just around the corner from the hotel, you have Dunkin doughnuts, five guys, CVS pharmacy, a great restaurant (haven) and not far there are multiple shopping centres reachable by foot (20 minute walk). You have a nice small park just outside the hotel with a nice view of the NYC skyline for a morning walk. The hotel is popular for corporate stays. The breakfast is a conventional continental breakfast, and Nanette is very hospitable. Pat, the bartender, is very accommodating and loves a good chat. The front desk staff were also welcoming and the rooms were cleaned every day. Thank you for the entire team for their hospitality and see you again soon!

I stayed at this hotel for four nights with my partner and son. While the room itself was spacious and clean, the overall experience left much to be desired. The walls were incredibly thin, which made sleeping nearly impossible during our stay. Noise from the main road, neighbours using the toilet, barking dogs, and what sounded like someone bouncing a basketball or jumping upstairs kept us awake. We contacted reception twice regarding the disturbances, and although they eventually sent someone to address the issue, it didn’t fully resolve the problem. We dined at the hotel once for breakfast and once for dinner, but both meals were overpriced and offered limited options, especially compared to the Hilton, where we typically stay. Unfortunately, the most troubling part of our stay was that money went missing from our room. I reported the issue to the hotel manager via email but never received a response before we left, 5 days later, still nothing. I also left a note for the cleaner requesting the return of cash that had been inside a birthday card, but there was no acknowledgment. While it’s possible it was a mistake, I suspect the cleaner took the money, which was deeply disappointing. On the positive side, the hotel’s location is convenient, with a bus stop nearby that made it easy to get to Port Authority daily without any trouble. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again. I understand this might have been an isolated experience, and others may find it more enjoyable, but for us, it fell far short of expectations and was nothing like the standard we’re accustomed to with Marriott hotels in the UK.

I stay here fairly often as the location is very ideal for times I’m in this area of Jersey. Overall it’s pretty decent, the rooms are a good size and the bathrooms are clean. The parking is very convenient and located next to the entrance. Service though, is very hit or miss. The first couple times I stayed here the staff was wonderful. At a recent stay, the receptionist stole my credit card info. As much as I enjoy the location, I’m probably going to look for a different hotel to frequent. Edit: I cannot respond to the hotel owner, but wanted to say the card number theft happened at check in. We were the only ones to check in at that time of night, and there was no one else around. The receptionist asked for both my ID and card, then had them both in front of her for several minutes while typing, with all the card info showing. After that, she asked me to pay via tapping the card on the screen. If I was paying that way, why did she need my card in front of her? Why was she taking so long to input details? Fraudulent charges showed up two days later, this was the only time I didn’t have my card in hand for weeks. Do NOT let the receptionist hold onto your credit card, only your ID. Tap to pay only.

Courtyard Edgewater, the most perfect hotel around nyc. We had an amazing stay here. The rooms were clean and really pretty. The beds were amazing, like you sleep on a cloud. The service was perfect!! They are all so kind and the help you get from them was amazing. The water pressure was gone from the sink and shower in our hotel room around 10 pm. We went down to get some help and there was someone immediately to help us! The problem was solved in 10 minutes. The location is beautiful… stunning view to the Manhattan skyline. There is a bus stop at the hotel, so you can get easily to manhattan by bus. It takes half an hour to get there. Thank you for the pleasant stay Courtyard Edgewater!

Overall, stay was average. There were definitely things that could have made the stay more enjoyable: Shower knob was broken, but manageable. The way it’s broken is you either get cold or hot water. Since I enjoy hot showers it wasn’t much of an issue. Not sure about other guests. We were given a room right next to the elevator. Heard every single guest coming in/out of the floor. Plus several drunk guests late at night. Upstairs room kept stomping through out our two night stay. Not sure how since it’s carpeted. It was impressive how much stomping was going on upstairs. I understand I paid with points so we probably received the bottom tier of rooms, however, as a silver elite I would expect a bit more out of the experience.
