Jun 15, 2025 · Rhonda HurtWe came to enjoy “The Friendliest Town on the Appalachian Trail.” Room #206 with its antique key exceeded expectations! There is a dining area, living area, two queen beds with awesome sheets, chocolates on the night stands!, a well stocked bathroom, but the crown jewel was a deck overlooking the water falls. The GM Phillip’s enthusiastic hospitality is very much appreciated. He recommended dinner at Wilson’s which was a short .7 mile walk through town. We were excited to see the hiker brick sidewalk, hiking supply stores, and the white blazed utility poles identifying the AT on our way. Thank you to Wilson’s for the unexpected discount because we were coming from the Old Mill. After a great night, we enjoyed Miss Betty’s delicious breakfast that fueled us to explore a short section of the AT heading south toward the TN border. We can’t wait to come back!
Mar 14, 2025 · Ellen KunkelAmazing and gorgeous! I booked this hotel on a whim without much research beforehand and it soared above my expectations!! The inn and the property is gorgeous, the staff is very friendly, and the rooms are nice and clean. I loved sitting on the deck with a hot cup of tea watching the ducks and geese :)
Mar 03, 2025 · Leah MI booked a room here in the fall of 2024 for my wife's birthday, she had wanted to ride the Creeper Trail for a while. The stay here was fantastic, the staff is amazing and the location is beautiful. It was one of the highlights of our trip and we are looking forward to coming back.
Feb 20, 2025 · Michael WentholdMy husband and I found Damascus INN on a whim after our camping trip didn't work out. Ms. Betty was the sweetest and welcoming person, she even zoomed to the office to get us in quick before the sun came down. Amazing views of the old mill waterfall, complementary homemade breakfast, old timey keys, chocolate by your bedside, working elevator, and the rooms were clean and big. It was perfect after being on the road for so long. Highly recommend!!💚
