People were really nice but something wasn't right with the smell. Hallway windows are left open. What got me the most was the beds. I had an experience before at a different hotel, so I happened to check under the bedding, and I couldn't get past it. I slept with my clothes on. at 140 bucks a night, i hope they can afford to get some new mattress and maybe enclosed in something more suitable !

Days Inn by Wyndham Budd Lake Introduce

For individuals searching for "Hotels Near Me" in Budd Lake, New Jersey, the Days Inn by Wyndham Budd Lake, located at 138 US-46 West, Budd Lake, NJ 07828, USA, may appear as an option, particularly for those seeking budget-friendly accommodation. The hotel can be reached at (973) 426-0800 or +1 973-426-0800. Based on a collection of recent online customer reviews, it is essential to provide an objective and detailed introduction of this establishment, encompassing its environment, services, features, and any noted promotional aspects.

Regarding the hotel's environment, customer feedback presents significant and consistent concerns, primarily revolving around cleanliness and overall upkeep. Guests have reported a noticeable and unpleasant smell throughout the hotel, including in the hallways, where windows are sometimes left open. The most alarming reports pertain to the cleanliness of the guest rooms, with multiple instances of rooms appearing uncleaned. Specific issues cited include strands of hair in bathtubs and sinks, urine stains on toilets, and very dirty bathroom floors. Furthermore, extremely concerning discoveries of blood spots on mattresses and clear signs of bed bug infestations have been reported by guests. The overall impression given by these reviews is that the cleanliness standards are severely lacking, impacting the comfort and safety of guests. The general aesthetic of the hotel, as inferred from these comments, is one of neglect and poor maintenance. While the exterior and common areas are not explicitly detailed in these critical reviews beyond the mention of bugs in the lobby, the pervasive issues within the rooms strongly suggest a broader problem with the hotel's environmental quality. This poses a considerable challenge for anyone prioritizing a clean and hygienic lodging experience when searching for "Hotels Near Me."

The services at Days Inn by Wyndham Budd Lake have also garnered mixed to negative feedback, particularly concerning staff response to guest issues and management accountability. While some guests have noted that "people were really nice" at the front desk, implying a polite initial interaction, the effectiveness of the services provided to resolve serious problems has been severely criticized. For instance, in cases of bed bug infestations, the hotel staff's suggested solution of supplying bed bug spray was deemed "totally unreasonable" by guests. More critically, the owner has been reported to refuse refunds in such severe circumstances and to avoid direct communication, leading to guests having to escalate their complaints to the health department and the corporate level of Wyndham. This reflects a significant shortfall in customer service and problem resolution, particularly for high-impact issues. Basic services like check-in and check-out are presumably available, but the lack of effective response to guest complaints overshadows these standard offerings. The reviews indicate a significant gap between initial staff pleasantness and the actual resolution of pressing guest concerns, which is a crucial aspect of hotel service.

In terms of features, the Days Inn by Wyndham Budd Lake offers basic amenities typical of a budget hotel, though their condition and functionality are frequently questioned. Guest rooms reportedly include beds, though their cleanliness and condition are a major point of contention, with some guests expressing concerns about sleeping on them. The presence of mattresses that might be in poor condition or not adequately enclosed, as suggested by one reviewer, indicates a potential need for updates. The hotel is situated on US-46 West, which implies easy access for those traveling by car. As part of the Wyndham brand, it would typically offer standard Days Inn features such as free Wi-Fi, which is generally expected, and potentially a complimentary breakfast, though specific details on this are not consistently highlighted in the negative reviews. Given the focus of the complaints, other features like a business center, fitness center, or pool are not prominently mentioned or praised in the provided feedback, suggesting they may either be absent, not well-maintained, or overshadowed by the more pressing issues. The price point, around $140 a night as mentioned by one reviewer, indicates its positioning as a budget-friendly option, which might be a primary feature attracting some guests despite the reported shortcomings. However, the value proposition is severely undermined by the pervasive issues related to cleanliness and pest control.

Regarding promotional information, the Days Inn by Wyndham Budd Lake would likely market itself as an affordable lodging option under the well-known Wyndham brand, appealing to travelers looking for cost-effective stays in the Budd Lake area. The brand affiliation might lead potential guests to expect a certain baseline standard of quality and service, even at a lower price point. However, the consistent and severe negative feedback from recent guests, including reports of unhygienic conditions and unresponsiveness from management regarding refunds, directly contradicts the typical expectations associated with a reputable hotel chain. Therefore, while promotional material might highlight its budget-friendly rates and brand affiliation, potential guests searching for "Hotels Near Me" should exercise extreme caution and consider the significant discrepancies between typical brand expectations and the actual guest experiences reported. The overwhelming sentiment from recent reviews is a strong recommendation to avoid this establishment, suggesting that any perceived promotional value is likely offset by considerable risks to comfort, hygiene, and overall satisfaction.

This has been by far the worst experience I’ve had at a hotel to date. Upon entering the hotel we witnessed bugs crawling across the lobby floor, little did we know this would be the least of our worries. Once we entered the room it was very clear the room had not been cleaned. Strands of hair in the bathtubs and sinks, stains of urine along the toilet, and very dirty bathroom floors. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any worse, we found spots of blood on the mattress and very clear signs of a bed bug infestation. The hotel staff suggested supplying us with bed bug spray, which I found to be a totally unreasonable solution to the problem. Given the circumstances we were left with no choice but to leave no more than an hour into our stay. Fast forward 3 days later and the owner is refusing to give us a refund, and has came up with multiple excuses as to why he can’t commit to a phone call to discuss the disgusting situation that took place on Saturday, May 17th. The unprofessional way the owner has handled this situation has left us with no choice but to bring this to the attention of the health department, and the corporate level of Wyndham. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time, giving these people your business.

If I could give this place zero rating, I would!! This place was absolutely disgusting and nasty! I walked in the room, and the smell was so bad I had to leave, the only help the co-owner of the place offered was to spray some room deodorizer. The bed was so disgusting. I didn’t even wanna sit on it in the TV remote was so dirty I didn’t want to touch it! I was there for less than 30 minutes from the time I checked in to the time I tried to check out. They refused to refund my money or check me out, I told them I did not feel safe here and would not be staying in that room, but they said because I checked in I was being charged for the night! Don’t let the name fool you this hotel is disgusting and looks like it should be advertised as “the Salvation Army” this hotel was largely vagrants and I would not recommend this place to my dog! Do not stay here, the place is a dump!

The front desk staff were unkind to say the least. Upon arrival we were early. He charged an extra one hundred and sixty dollars for an early check in even though I requested one when I booked online. He couldn't find our reservation so I pulled up the confirmation on my phone but because he couldn't find it we had to pay. We were tired and wanted to shower. The next day we requested fresh towels. The man at the front desk said that we could not get fresh towels until he came and checked the room. He gave no reason. Then he inspected our already used towels before he would give us fresh. There was some excess makeup on one, so he charged us a one hundred dollars towel fee! We had paid for 2 night stay. We wanted to find somewhere else to go but he gave us a problem about getting a refund. Rooms, nice front desk staff, rude and invasive!

DONT RISK IT GO SOMEWHERE ELSE unless you couldn't find literally anywhere else you read everywhere else on the honest reviews, rude staff, flooding and clogging toilets, all sheets and towels have stains on them, elevator is rickety and malfunctioned a little, whole room looked like it was barely cleaned if you look closer there is stains, dust, pet hair all over under blankets, breakfast is abysmal and not even included in your price of stay, staff made comments about how guests make his day hard and rolls his eyes. the man working during the week around 1 am is the worst.
