This hotel has given me and my partner the biggest issues. First they want to charge us an extra $30 because we requested a handicapped room, which is against ADA. When we get here we were charged $25 for an early check in fee, which we payed on the spot. Upon check out they tell us we did not pay it even though our bank states it was paid, but the lady did not believe us. We paid it again and was promised that we would only be charged once. The hotel itself is completely not handicapped friendly, as my partner could not reach the desk to pay or literally do anything in the lobby. I asked the front desk person how a person in a wheelchair could check in by themselves and she simply looked at me and told me they cannot afford a new desk. The lady at the front was rude and could not offer one once of help to my fiance who is in a wheelchair.

Quality Inn Hackettstown - Long Valley Introduce

For local users in and around Hackettstown, New Jersey, who are searching for "Hotels Near Of Me," the Quality Inn Hackettstown - Long Valley is an option that may appear in their search results. Located at 1925 NJ-57, Hackettstown, NJ 07840, USA, this hotel is part of the Quality Inn brand, which typically caters to travelers seeking a comfortable and consistent experience at a moderate price point. For direct inquiries, the hotel can be reached at (908) 441-8041 or +1 908-441-8041.

Regarding its environment, the Quality Inn Hackettstown - Long Valley is situated on NJ-57, a state highway, suggesting a roadside location. This typically means easy access for travelers arriving by car and proximity to local businesses or amenities along the route. Hackettstown itself is described by a local reviewer as a place where "there is not much to do," implying a quieter, possibly more rural or suburban environment rather than a bustling urban center. This aligns with the desire expressed by a guest for "some quiet time," indicating that the hotel's location contributes to a peaceful atmosphere, away from significant city noise. The exterior of the hotel, while not explicitly detailed, would likely reflect the standard Quality Inn aesthetic, which aims for functionality and straightforward appeal. Being near Long Valley further emphasizes its location within a generally quieter, more residential or rural part of New Jersey, offering a serene backdrop for guests.

In terms of services, a crucial aspect of any hotel, the Quality Inn Hackettstown - Long Valley provides standard lodging services. Guests can expect a front desk for check-in and check-out procedures, and assistance with their stay. However, customer reviews highlight significant inconsistencies and concerns regarding some core services. One major point of contention is the hotel's handling of charges, with a guest reporting being charged an extra $30 for a handicapped room (which is explicitly stated as being against ADA regulations), and being double-charged for an early check-in fee despite initial payment. This indicates potential issues with billing accuracy and customer trust. Furthermore, a critical service issue is the hotel's accessibility for guests with disabilities. Despite a request for a handicapped room, the hotel's lobby desk was reportedly inaccessible for a person in a wheelchair, and the front desk staff's response indicated a lack of ability to provide a suitable solution. This represents a significant shortcoming in providing accessible services as required by law. On a positive note, however, the cleaning staff receives high praise for their service: "The cleaning people really do a great job to keep the rooms clean," and "Whoever does the washing, really does a good job. The sheets smelled fresh and clean. No weird scent or anything." This suggests a commitment to cleanliness in the guest rooms, which is a fundamental service. Additionally, the positive mentions of "Stacy from the front desk" and an "Indian young guy who is also from the front desk" for being "very very extra awesome," "nice and welcoming," and "very very attentive and helpful" highlight that individual staff members provide excellent customer service, despite broader systemic issues.

The features of the Quality Inn Hackettstown - Long Valley present a mixed bag. The primary feature is its offering of guest rooms, which are described as "small" but are consistently praised for their cleanliness. The high standard of cleanliness, particularly of the sheets, is a standout feature for many guests. This attention to detail in room hygiene contributes significantly to guest comfort. Another notable feature is the general quietness of the hotel, making it suitable for guests seeking a peaceful retreat. However, several critical features are identified as needing improvement. The hotel's physical infrastructure is a concern, with a reviewer stating, "The hotel itself looks like it needs to get new walls and ceilings everywhere." This suggests that while the rooms are clean, the overall aesthetic and possibly the structural condition of the building may be dated or require renovation. Most importantly, the hotel's lack of true handicapped accessibility, despite potentially having designated handicapped rooms, is a major functional drawback. The inability for a wheelchair user to access the front desk is a severe limitation on a fundamental guest experience feature. The general appearance of the lobby and common areas seems to be a point of improvement based on the comments about walls and ceilings.

When considering promotional information, the Quality Inn Hackettstown - Long Valley could leverage its strengths, particularly the high standard of cleanliness in its rooms and the exceptional service provided by specific front desk staff members. Promotions could emphasize the peaceful environment and the cleanliness of the linens, appealing to guests who prioritize hygiene and a quiet stay. Given the hotel's location, it might promote itself as a convenient stop for travelers along NJ-57 or as a base for exploring the quieter parts of northwestern New Jersey. However, any promotional efforts would need to carefully navigate the negative feedback, particularly concerning accessibility and billing issues, to maintain credibility. For local users searching for "Hotels Near Of Me," the hotel's relative affordability (implied by the Quality Inn brand) and the potential for a quiet, clean room might be attractive. However, transparency regarding its current state of renovation and, crucially, its actual accessibility features would be vital for responsible promotion. While some guests experienced significant issues, the positive feedback about certain staff members and room cleanliness suggests there are aspects worth promoting. Perhaps highlighting the dedicated and helpful staff who strive to provide good service despite infrastructural challenges could be a promotional angle. Emphasizing the "good service we got" despite the hotel's physical appearance could also be a unique, honest promotional approach. Given the comments, the hotel might benefit from promoting any upcoming renovation plans to signal an improved future experience.

In summary, the Quality Inn Hackettstown - Long Valley offers a basic lodging experience in a quiet, roadside setting suitable for those seeking a peaceful stay in the Hackettstown area. Its strongest features appear to be the exceptional cleanliness of its guest rooms and the helpfulness of specific front desk staff members. However, prospective guests, especially those searching for "Hotels Near Of Me," should be aware of significant concerns related to billing practices, the overall dated appearance of the hotel's common areas, and, most critically, severe limitations in handicapped accessibility. While it may offer a clean bed for a quiet night, those with accessibility needs or concerns about billing transparency should exercise caution and perhaps inquire directly about specific accommodations and charges before booking. The hotel's ability to provide a pleasant experience seems to be highly dependent on individual staff performance and guest expectations regarding amenities and accessibility versus cleanliness and quietude.

I don't know how to begin but i have to say that Stacy from the front desk and there was an Indian young guy who is also from the front desk, were very very extra awesome. Stacy is such a sweetheart and she is soooooo nice and welcoming. The Indian guy is great as well. The only reason why i say Indian is because many people have a bad concept about them. Not all Indian people are rude. I wish i knew his name to give him credit for being so nice. The rooms are small but the cleaning people really do a great job to keep the rooms clean. Also, I have been in a few hotels and i have never felt and smelled the sheets so clean like i did here. Whoever does the washing, really does a good job. The sheets smelled fresh and clean. No weird scent or anything. They were also very very attentive and helpful. The hotel itself looks like it needs to get new walls and ceilings everywhere. But the service was very good. I am pleased with the service we got. I highly recommend this hotel if you want to have some quiet time. I lived in Hackettstown for many years, there is not much to do. Good luck

Stood here once last year had no problems at all. Stood again this pass week they tried to charge an extra $30 for a handicap room that we needed(which is illegal) they charged us just twice for an early check in fee when the manager didn’t charge us an early check in fee last time.

Location was convenient, staff were friendly and helpful. The TV in my room did not work which was a bummer. If planning to stay for any extended period of time I would request they make sure your television is connected because mine had no signal. So I just went to bed quickly and was checked out before 6 AM the following morning.

Person at the front desk was very welcoming. Great stay for reasonable price. Good stores near by walking distance.
