Terrible smell of heavy, heavy pinesol. The front desk area was terribly creepy. Plexiglass on the window at the desk. You could tell it was a shady place to stay I wish I would of taken a picture. My son-in-law is on the police force and he told me they do stings there all the time. I knew when I entered the door it was no place I wanted to stay before knowing what a bad place it was. Also there was another hotel right down the road from it and I thought it was where my reservation was but was told I had the wrong hotel. Then the desk clerk informed me once I told her the name of where I was actually supposed to be that it was in my best interest to cancel the reservation. When I asked why she said just go and see for yourself. So indeed I did and I refused to stay there and it was worth losing 1 night stay payment. I would never suggest this place to anyone. Pictures are very deceiving.

As locals, we are often looking for convenient and economical places to stay for short trips, business visits, or family occasions. This hotel's proximity to Lander University, along with its free parking and in-room microwaves and refrigerators, offers practical benefits that align with these needs.
However, it's crucial for fellow South Carolinians to approach a potential stay here with tempered expectations, especially in light of recent customer reviews. While it offers the basic necessities and a pet-friendly policy that can be a deciding factor for some, the feedback regarding strong odors, issues with cleanliness beyond surface level, and challenges with early check-in or staff professionalism suggest that experiences can be inconsistent. The mention of it being a "shady place" and police activity are serious concerns that prospective guests should be aware of.
For those prioritizing a very low cost and requiring only the most basic amenities for a brief stay, and who are prepared to overlook some of the reported issues, the Days Inn might serve its purpose. It's always wise to call ahead and, if possible, request a look at the room before committing, especially after reviewing the varied customer experiences.

Jan 10, 2025 · Melodie NotterWorst place to check in. They want additional money for everything even if you want to check in 30mins early. Even if place was empty, rooms were ready and available. But No check in early unless you pay additional fee. If not you will be forced to wait until 3pm how accommodating. That's why I give them a 0 if I could. Don't come here if you work night shift and planning to sleep during the day only.
Jan 08, 2025 · Marco MartinezReserved over the phone. When I got there they DO NOT have ANY food or even coffee!! The room was a time warp to 1960. Every corner of the room had dirt. The water pressure was non existent and the tile under the handrail in the shower was disgusting! I suggest staying at the Comfort Inn instead it's right next door. I would have changed but my room was nonrefundable!
