The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. I was on the 2nd floor overlooking the back. The room was quiet. They have a small bar where you can order food, but the options are limited, not much to choose. I had a chicken quesadilla it was ok and wings that weren't that good. Total was $ 40 with tip. Breakfast took a long time to get a plain bagel with cream cheese. It was a bit pricey. They expect/force a tip, and the service was not good. I would recommend the hotel improve their food options there's nothing nearby. Parking is available and included.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Boston Bayside, located at 240 Mt Vernon St, Boston, MA 02125, USA, offers a comfortable and well-connected stay for visitors to Boston. As a prominent option on the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform, this hotel is a solid choice for both leisure and business travelers, distinguished by its convenient location, welcoming atmosphere, and a range of practical amenities. You can contact the hotel directly at (617) 822-3600 or +1 617-822-3600.
Beyond public transport, the hotel is within walking distance of several notable landmarks. The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum is just 1 mile away, and the University of Massachusetts Boston campus is also very close by. Carson Beach, offering a chance for a leisurely stroll by the water, is a mere 10-minute walk. While immediate dining options right outside the hotel are noted by some guests as "limited," the excellent connectivity via the Red Line and the hotel's own shuttle services bridge this gap. The hotel provides a peaceful and quiet environment, as attested by guests who found their rooms comfortable and restful. The top floors of the hotel often offer appealing ocean and city views, upon request. For air travelers, Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) is approximately 3.7 to 5 miles away, making arrivals and departures convenient, especially with the hotel's shuttle service.
Each room is equipped with modern amenities to enhance the guest experience. These include flat-screen TVs with premium channels, coffee makers, and in-room safes. Bathrooms typically feature a shower/tub combination, complimentary toiletries, and hair dryers. For added convenience, the hotel offers connecting rooms, and free cribs/infant beds are available upon request, making it suitable for families. While some reviews mentioned the absence of free Wi-Fi in guestrooms for non-Hilton Honors members (it may be available for a surcharge, e.g., $14.95 per 24-hour period), common areas typically offer connectivity. Rooms are equipped with air conditioning for climate control, and desks provide a workspace for business travelers. The hotel is 100% non-smoking.
For dining, the hotel features an on-site restaurant and bar. The Marketplace Cafe and Take Away offers a "fast casual dining experience" with a selection of specialty drinks, made-to-order appetizers, sandwiches, wraps, salads, pizza, and grilled burgers. A full breakfast buffet is served daily, although some guests found it "a bit pricey" and service slow (e.g., waiting a long time for a bagel). There is also a Lobby Lounge for evening drinks and various dinner items. While the food options were described as "limited" by one guest, the convenience of on-site dining is a plus, especially since there's "nothing nearby" in terms of immediate dining options.
The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle service, a highly valued amenity. This shuttle offers free return transportation to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), Black Falcon Cruise Port Terminal, and the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. It also provides limited service to select local restaurants nightly and to the New England Aquarium on Saturdays and Sundays. This service significantly reduces the need for personal vehicles or expensive taxis.
Other key amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, equipped for various workout routines. The hotel also offers a 24-hour front desk with "helpful and professional" staff, express check-in/check-out, luggage storage, and laundry/dry cleaning services. Guests can leverage the Hilton Honors app for digital check-in and digital key access, making the process "very quick and easy." For business needs, there is a 24-hour business center and meeting facilities available. It's important to note that pets are generally not allowed, with the exception of service animals.
A significant promotional aspect is the inclusion of parking, which is available and typically included for guests, or offered at a reasonable self-parking rate (around $26.00 per day with in/out privileges), a considerable advantage in Boston where parking can be expensive. The free airport and local area shuttle services are also major value-adds, eliminating transportation costs for guests. Guests can often find competitive rates by booking directly through Hilton's official channels or by looking for seasonal promotions. While buffet breakfast is available for a fee (e.g., $22 for adults), its availability is a convenience, and some packages might include it. The hotel is often available for last-minute travel plans, and guests might find special offers during off-peak seasons or on short notice.
In conclusion, the DoubleTree by Hilton Boston Bayside stands as a reliable and convenient option for travelers to Boston. Its comfortable and quiet rooms, coupled with essential amenities like on-site dining, free parking, and extensive shuttle services to the airport, T-station, and local attractions, provide a comprehensive experience. Despite minor issues with dining options or Wi-Fi pricing for non-members, its overall value, particularly for those utilizing the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform, makes it a highly recommended choice for a pleasant and efficient stay in Boston.

Mar 20, 2025 · Air007 RWe enjoyed our stay at DoubleTree by Hilton Boston-Bayside! We drove from Maine for a short trip in Boston for the aquarium and to walk around. It is a short walk from the hotel to the JFK station. The hotel staff were helpful and we enjoyed using our app to check in and out along with the digital key, very quick and easy! The hotel was peaceful and quiet, we will definitely be staying here again in the future!
Apr 26, 2025 · Phoebe FairserviceVery underwhelming. The room itself was decent (except for the coffee maker, yikes do not use!), but the rest of the hotel left something to be desired. I tried to order food or a drink at the bar, gave up after not finding anyone for 15 minutes (yes it was open). Ignore their website, the "full breakfast buffet" does not exist. The Marketplace Cafe is not open for anywhere near the listed hours, and the food quality was sub-par. Their fitness center was pretty small but ok, except don't expect to find towels or wipes.
Mar 17, 2025 · Theodore TannerOverall this place is probably worse than an average Hampton Inn. More on par with a Comfort Inn or a Quality Inn. Rooms were not properly cleaned: I've got a cup lid used by the previous guest in my drawer; hair and dust on the desk next to the bed (judging from the amount of dust the desk probably has not been cleaned/wiped down in days if not weeks); random sticker on the floor. Location: location was great and convenient, close to the JFK/UMass T station. Airport shuttle was a plus for a hotel not around the airport area. Service: Staff were mostly welcoming and friendly. Food and beverage significantly overpriced and the cafe and bar were short-staffed. However as a Hilton diamond member, the food and beverage credit was "per day" at this location instead of "per night", meaning if you arrive after the cafe closes, there was no place to use the credit, which is frustrating.
Mar 06, 2025 · JoeyGreat hotel. Located close to the T which can get you everywhere. My FOH guy Alvaro was the greatest. Recommended local food and shopping and nightlife. Best host I’ve ever had and I’ve been to Vegas and Miami. Would highly recommend him and the hotel. He made the trip 6 stars. Unforgettable.
