Me and my Wife visited Boston to attend "Simmons University Commencement" for our Aunt's Doctorate. We reserved our rooms here because of location. The hotel itself was great in our opinion. Clean, friendly staff and secure. They have a pool, gym and the room was perfect with a refrigerator and microwave. They also provide a great complimentary breakfast in the mornings and an all day hot coffee station. Warning; outside you will see a lot of homeless drug addicts in the area, however, there was a great presence of Boston Police in front and around the area.

May 17, 2025 · Pop MasonI had a great stay. The gym had a good selection of dumbells and some other equipment. I had a good sleep. Breakfast was as good and as expected. AC worked well. The location is not a very nice area but close enough to where I needed to be. Overall I would return for a short budget business trip.
May 08, 2025 · Frank GI am a huge Hilton fan and hate to leave a bad review but want to warn others. First off, we didn't end up staying at this hotel. Because I was already in town for work, my partner and I arrived separately. One ride share driver said please tell me you aren't staying here. The other warned not to leave on foot in the evening. Later in the evening when we mentioned switching hotels because we were in a rough area our tour guide knew which hotel immediately, "the Hampton Inn?! That street is the Skid Row of Boston! They should put that on their website." The hotel itself was decent/nice and the staff was exceptional. They had a security guard in the lobby. We probably would have been fine there but unless you need to be close to the medical center, I would stay elsewhere. Aside from the crowds of people on the street outside with needles, there was constant noise from the sirens and police activity. The hotel was quick to allow us to cancel our room and we rebooked at the Hilton Canopy which was fantastic.
Apr 29, 2025 · Tiffany CartwrightThe location is terrible, 0 stars. You are going to have extreme difficultly sleeping here with constant sirens from ambulance and police vehicles driving by all day and night long while next to the medical center and homeless shelter. The hotel itself is fine with a great staff, rooms, and a decent fitness center with dumbbells and a treadmill. The pool is in pretty poor condition with a good amount of the flooring and filter intakes being grimy, it is also only 3 1/2 feet deep throughout the entirety of it. Unfortunately, the hotel does not have enough redeeming qualities to make it worth the location near the medical center and homeless shelter.
Apr 05, 2025 · Kyle C.I've been a loyal Hilton Honors member for over 10 years, and this was by far one of the worst—and most shocking—experiences I’ve had with the brand. The hotel is located literally next to an open-air psychiatric facility and a homeless shelter. This is not just an urban setting—it's an environment that feels unsafe and unsettling, especially at night. The fact that Hilton doesn’t clearly warn guests about this in advance is completely unacceptable and borderline deceptive. You are going to hear ambulance and police siren going on all night. The area is not safe for women, I'm a man and I was looking behind my back walking in and out of the hotel. To make things worse, I received a scam phone call in my room around 10:30 PM from someone pretending to be the front desk, claiming there was a problem with my credit card. Thankfully, I didn’t fall for it—but the fact that this is happening inside the hotel is extremely concerning. When I reported it the next morning, the staff barely acknowledged it, simply pointing to a small sign explaining that scam calls are “common in the Boston Downtown area.” That’s not a solution—it’s a shrug. I expect a lot more from a brand like Hilton, especially when it comes to guest safety and honesty about what we’re walking into. This property should not carry the Hilton name.
