Guest reviews for Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Marietta present a stark contrast, reflecting both commendable aspects and significant drawbacks that potential visitors should weigh carefully. On the positive side, numerous reviews highly praise certain staff members, particularly Ms. Linda (General Manager) and "Suite," for their "amazing service," professionalism, kindness, and willingness to "go out of their way for all of the guests." This highlights a strong commitment to customer service from specific individuals, making guests feel appreciated and accommodated.
However, a considerable portion of the feedback raises serious concerns, primarily revolving around cleanliness and aspects of customer service from other staff. Guests have reported "disappointing" and "unclean rooms," citing issues such as "smelly blankets," "dusty tables," "dirty lights," and "nasty fridges." A particularly alarming review details finding the same leftover food and an untouched note from a previous stay in the same room, indicating a severe lapse in housekeeping. The most critical issue reported is the discovery of "bed bugs," which led to an immediate request for a different room and a highly negative experience with a front desk employee described as "rude" and "unprofessional" when confronted with the cleanliness issues. While a different room was eventually provided, it was also described as dirty. These experiences suggest that while some staff members are highly commendable, there are significant and recurring problems with property maintenance and inconsistent service quality from others.
Promotional information for Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Marietta emphasizes its affiliation with the Choice Hotels brand, allowing guests to earn Choice Privileges points. The hotel's affordability, complimentary breakfast, and convenient location near Six Flags White Water, Truist Park, and Life University are typically highlighted. For local users seeking "Hotels Near Of Me" who prioritize budget and location, this hotel may appear attractive. However, given the significant and repeated concerns about cleanliness and instances of poor customer service from certain staff, prospective guests are advised to set their expectations accordingly and consider recent reviews when making their booking decision.

Feb 10, 2025 · Daughter In CrimsonDisappointing Stay - Unclean Rooms and Poor Customer Service I stayed at this hotel for two weekends in a row because it was conveniently located near where my daughter was taking a class. Unfortunately, both experiences were extremely disappointing due to the poor cleanliness and unprofessional service. During my first stay, I noticed several issues, including a dirty room, smelly blankets, and dusty table, dirty lights & nasty fridge. Despite these problems, I chose not to write a review, instead leaving a note in the room with my suggestions for improvement. To my surprise, when I returned the next weekend and was given the same exact room, none of the issues had been addressed. The room was still dirty, the blanket had not been washed, and I even found the same black olive from my pizza last weekend still on the floor. It was clear that the room had not been cleaned at all. I also found the note I left the previous week still untouched. When I approached the front desk, the manager was unavailable, and I was met by a short Indian lady who seemed to be responsible for housekeeping. When I politely requested clean sheets, she responded with a rude attitude, telling me that if I was complaining, I should take a refund for the day and leave the hotel. She then walked away, showing no concern for my situation. This encounter made me more suspicious, and upon inspecting the bed sheets further, I discovered bed bugs. I requested to speak with the manager again but was told he was busy and couldn’t speak with me. It appeared that this hotel is owned by an Indian family, and I’m not sure if the manager is aware of the poor housekeeping standards. I was eventually given another room, which was also dirty, though the blankets seemed clean but still smelled bad. Overall, this hotel is poorly maintained, and the staff is unprofessional and unhelpful. I would not recommend staying here. Here are some pictures I took to show the state of the rooms. Save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else.
Jul 08, 2024 · Abdirazak SidowDesk Clerk charged $20 cash for a security deposit. It took 15 minutes of arguing to get a receipt. "You can get it back when you check out. We're here 24/7" No one at desk in the morning. No one answered the bell. Phone went to an answering machine. No calls back and it's been a week. Not a surprise, but no survey from the hotel or Choice Hotels.
Dec 07, 2024 · Randy RodriguezWhere to start. No 24 hour staff at desk, hallways were like ovens, and smelled bad. The elevator is 8 months past its inspection date. So its certification is expired. Room was kind of clean. Toilet not bolted to the floor and very unstable, shower diverted didn’t work. So no shower. The fridge didn’t work, just a puddle of water in there. The A/C took all night to cool the room. The bed is an old coil bed super uncomfortable and bouncy, And NO coffee in the morning! Just spend an extra 50 bucks and stay at a holiday Inn or something. Place is not worth your time or money.
Apr 19, 2024 · Brian LeppekWas not impressed by this hotel. There was a musky odor in the room and no breakfast, except for coffee. The evening front desk associate was pleasant and helpful, a plus. It was located in a convenient spot- close to 75 and restaurants, shops, etc.
