Resident of the hotel and I can say that the maintenance crew just doesn't exist considering there has been many reports of maintenance issues that has been reported to the office but no time was given on to when they'll show up. When time was given, (not a specific time just a general they'll be there soon) they never showed up.
For individuals searching "Hotels Near Of Me" with a specific need for an extended stay in Marietta, Georgia, the Economy Hotel Marietta at 2100 NW Pkwy SE, Marietta, GA 30067, USA, may appear as an option. The hotel can be reached via phone at (678) 978-1366 or +1 678-978-1366. As an "economy" extended stay hotel, its primary appeal might stem from its pricing, often being marketed as a cheaper alternative for longer-term accommodation. However, it is imperative for prospective guests to be fully aware of the significant and severe issues reported by past residents.
The environment of Economy Hotel Marietta, as described by multiple detailed customer reviews, paints a grim picture. Reviewers consistently report a highly unsanitary and poorly maintained environment. The most alarming and frequently cited issue is the pervasive presence of pests, with explicit mentions that the "place is crawling with roaches so badly" and a severe "fruit flies problem." Beyond insects, the physical structure of the hotel itself appears to be in disrepair, with reports of "leaks everywhere" and "mildew growing on the walls because of all the water leakage." There are even instances where the "water off to the entire hotel forever almost a week," which is a fundamental utility issue. The general ambiance is further described as "nasty," with observations of "nasty looking people (most drug addicts)," and frequent disruptions like fire alarms being pulled in the middle of the night by "some child." This suggests a potentially chaotic and unsafe living environment, far from the comfortable and stable atmosphere typically sought in an extended stay. The external grounds and common areas are also likely to reflect this lack of maintenance, contributing to an overall uninviting and potentially hazardous environment. For any guest, particularly families, considering this location, the descriptions of the environment are critically important to acknowledge and weigh against any perceived cost savings.
The services offered at Economy Hotel Marietta, based on guest feedback, appear to be severely lacking and, in some cases, actively detrimental to the guest experience. A primary concern is the complete absence of effective maintenance. Guests report "many reports of maintenance issues that has been reported to the office but no time was given on to when they'll show up," and when a general timeframe was given, "they never showed up." This indicates a systemic failure in addressing basic upkeep and repair needs. Customer service from the staff is also heavily criticized, with a reviewer stating, "they are far from friendly," and recounting an incident where a family was abruptly informed of a pet policy change with "a little bit over an hour to get our belongings and get out." This suggests a lack of empathy, clear communication, and potentially discriminatory practices. The manager, Jay, is noted as "the only person here who seems genuine," but even he "has he moments where he loses his cool." Other service-related issues include a charge of "$5 for a new card for your room" if lost, and a daily fee of "$7 per day for WiFi access," which are often complimentary or bundled in other hotels. The alleged allowance of "drug dealers and prostitutes to be on the grounds all day" also points to a severe breakdown in property management and security, fundamentally impacting the safety and well-being of guests. These reported service deficiencies go far beyond minor inconveniences, touching upon basic habitability, safety, and customer respect.
The features of an extended stay hotel typically include in-room kitchenettes for self-sufficiency, comfortable bedding, and access to laundry facilities. While Economy Hotel Marietta is an extended stay property, the functionality and desirability of its features are profoundly undermined by the pervasive issues reported. The presence of "roaches" and "mildew growing on the walls" renders any in-room amenities potentially unusable or unpleasant. The critical infrastructure, such as water supply, is unreliable, with instances of "water off to the entire hotel forever almost a week." Even basic necessities like internet access come at an additional, and for some, prohibitive cost. The concept of "home away from home," which extended stay hotels aim to provide, is entirely contradicted by descriptions of "disgusting hotel" and rooms that are not maintained. While the hotel may technically possess certain features like air conditioning, microwaves, and showers, their condition and the overwhelming negative environment make them largely irrelevant or unusable. The lack of proper supervision over children, leading to fire alarms being pulled, further illustrates a chaotic environment where standard features like fire safety systems are misused and not adequately managed. These fundamental failures in maintaining basic features directly impact the ability of guests to reside comfortably or safely within the property.
From a promotional standpoint, an "Economy Hotel" typically relies on its low price point to attract guests. However, for Economy Hotel Marietta, the extensive and severe negative customer reviews would significantly counteract any promotional efforts based purely on affordability. While a guest noted it was "the cheapest place available with our pets per week," the subsequent recounting of "crawling with roaches," "leaks everywhere," water shut-offs, discriminatory behavior, and safety concerns transforms any perceived savings into a considerable risk. Traditional promotional materials highlight positive aspects such as location convenience (2100 NW Pkwy SE, Marietta, GA), amenities, or value. However, the objective information from real customers for this hotel paints a picture that is far from inviting. No amount of standard promotional messaging can effectively counter claims that "if the health department came this place would be shut down" or that it's a "disease trap." For individuals searching "Hotels Near Of Me" with a focus on extended stays, the priority is often a stable, clean, and safe environment. The reviews for Economy Hotel Marietta strongly suggest that it falls far short of these fundamental requirements, making it a highly questionable choice regardless of its initial price point. The severe complaints regarding hygiene, safety, and customer treatment would likely deter any informed potential guest, regardless of current promotions.

May 11, 2025 · Anthony ButterworthMy husband child and I have been living in this disgusting hotel forever a year. It was the cheapest place available with our pets per week and it still. But the issue is we have had 2 dogs this entire time and today we had learned that they aren’t allowing our second dog. Again like I’ve stated before we have been here for a year plus. We have 2 dogs so staying here with that year we have accommodated items. They also had said they put a flyer on everyone’s door saying that there would only be 1 pet per room. But again we did not receive the flyer. My husband went to pay early this morning for our weekly stay and she then notified my husband about the pet policy changing. When she said that he was bought like a deer in headlights and didn’t know what to say/ do because that left us with a little bit over an hour to get our belongings and get out because checkout is at 11. In other news this place is crawling with roaches so badly. They have leaks everywhere they have had a days where they turned their water off to the entire hotel forever almost a week. There is mildew growing on the walls because of all the water leakage. And they may say friendly and affordable but they are far from friendly the only person here who seems genuine is the manager Jay but even he has he moments where he loses his cool. This place has a horrible fruit flies problem. All I’m trying to say is if the health department came this place would be shut down. It’s horrid how they treat and respect their customers. Oh and don’t ever lose your hotel card for your room if you do you will have to pay 5 dollars for a new one. It’s like 7 dollars per day for WiFi access. This place is nasty, has nasty looking people (most drug addicts) and quite often gets fire alarm pulled in the middle of the night by some child. A lot of the time people do not watch they kids don’t stay here I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone I know.
Apr 04, 2025 · Alex ScarpinoI’ve been here for about a month. I don’t have any complaints to speak of. I had problems with something’s when I first moved in that management took care of but besides that, everything is great so far. My mother had an issue with her door and they came and fixed it instantly. The front desk staff is AMAZING compared to the people who were running the place. Nobody has an attitude and everyone is fresh faced and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a cheaper solution to a hotel..

Mar 24, 2025 · A Google UserI have been residing here since March 2024 and I have never had any problems. The rooms are big and spacious. The rooms are very clean and functional. The staff here are very friendly. Any time I have a concern, Ms. Shanice goes above and beyond to ensure that my concerns or any problem I have had is solved in a quick and very professional manner. This place is well worth every penny I am spending.
