Disappointed and Frustrated: A Once-Reliable Stay Gone Wrong I took a few days to decide whether to leave this review, as I’ve stayed at this location several times before without issue. Unfortunately, this last experience was unacceptable and warrants sharing. I stayed here for a business trip that required travel between Covington, Slidell, and New Orleans—so I chose this location for its convenience. I checked in on Saturday, June 7, 2024, at 4:30 PM. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a front desk attendant who refused to provide her name. I received my key, went to Room 203, and immediately noticed the air conditioning wasn’t working. I spent 30 minutes trying to adjust the temperature with no success. I returned to the lobby and informed the same clerk, who was now sitting in the lounge area. When I told her the A/C wasn’t working, she simply asked what room I was in and walked away without explanation. Both I and another guest standing nearby were confused by her behavior. A few minutes later, she returned and claimed the air was working fine. I assume she entered my room without notifying me, which is extremely unprofessional, especially considering my belongings were inside. I left the hotel at 5:30 PM and returned around 8:30 PM, hoping the air might have improved. Unfortunately, it was still extremely hot. I used an infrared thermometer (I work in a profession where this tool is standard) and confirmed the room temperature was 98 degrees. I contacted my company and informed them of the situation. I then returned to the lobby around 9:30 PM to request a room change and inquire about any documentation required. To my surprise, the lobby was already closed—despite the posted hours stating it should be open until 11:00 PM. Adding to the frustration, my key card no longer worked. From 9:30 PM until 1:24 AM, I was locked out of my room and had to wait in the lobby for an on-call staff member. When she finally arrived—wearing a bonnet and nightgown—it turned out to be the same woman who had checked me in earlier. She appeared irritated and condescending, implying that I didn’t know how to operate the air conditioning and was clearly annoyed at being woken up. I contacted both corporate and my company and was assured I’d receive a full refund. That promise, however, turned out to be false. On check-out day, the male attendant at the front desk refused to give me a receipt, stating that third-party bookings do not receive them—despite me having received receipts from past stays. He also said there were no notes about a refund, and I overheard him and a colleague discussing my situation unprofessionally while my colleague recorded the conversation during her own checkout. To make matters worse, housekeeping never visited the room once during my entire stay from Saturday to Monday. In summary, this was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. From broken air conditioning, to unprofessional staff, to being locked out of my room for hours in the middle of the night—it was completely unacceptable. I used to rely on this location for business travel, but after this, I won’t be returning. Do not waste your time or money here.

I don't need much, just a bed, a bathroom, and a quiet space. But the floor is dusty, as if it weren't swept or swiffered, the bed is weirdly tilted, the water pressure is nonexistent, and the water tastes like chlorine. There's no ice machine. If there's a gym, I haven't found it. The bedside lamp doesn't work, and despite a promise, no new light bulb has appeared. Overheads are harsh. So, adequate, but barely.

Stayed here 21 days for business purposes. Great location near the airport which was great for traveling to airport. The hotel rooms could use some bedroom curtains. The outside parking lot lights are just way too bright to light up the rooms at night. They say they offer complimentary breakfast but what you really get is processed foods in snacks. Oatmeal packets, fig bars, muffins and coffee are not, I say again, are not considered complimentary breakfast. But that's what they currently offer, smh. For starters, I've stayed in far worse shape looking, bad quality hotels that offer a true breakfast for their guests. I was surprised to find first day-muffins, fig bars, oatmeal packets and coffee for the "complimentary breakfast." With the amount that guests pay to stay here, management needs to seriously serve more quality options for breakfast. Calling snacks as breakfast is not good at all. My TV was not working, so that needed to be addressed. Overall, three stars for review here as bedrooms need curtains installed and the need to improve on the breakfast menu at that hotel.

Stayed at this location this past weekend. Expectations were not on the high end, but with New Orleans jacking up the room rates for the Super Bowl, this was the last option. Front desk staff were on point. The room however was not. Power cord to the cable box was missing. Was able to get it resolved on the second day. The fridge and freezer never got cold. I’m sure the ice trays still have water in them since they never froze. The toilet only fully flushed on the fourth try and then it would leak. Slow draining tub. The two choices for the ac unit was either Antarctica or Kuwait. Smh. Hopefully, the new management can turn this location around.

DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT STAYING HERE!!. Just don’t. First off, had to wait at front for 10 minutes before the attendant came to check us in. I wasn’t expecting much to begin with, but when we got to the room, there were tiny squished bugs in tiny pools of blood on the floor under the bed, bedbugs or maybe ticks. Photos attached. The lady had the nerve to insist they were cigarette marks from the previous guest, despite the fact that the room did not smell of tobacco. Even after pointing out the blood, she refused to believe it was so. There were no other rooms available and she didn’t offer to clean the room at all. Y’all can be the judge all I’m saying is I’ve never seen a cigarette mark that has lil legs and is surrounded by blood. Also the toilet broke literally on the first try of using it and she didn’t offer any help with that either. Not to mention the ball of hair I saw the first moment I walked in the room. OH AND strange brown/blood stain on blanket that could’ve been a lot of different unsightly things. They refused to issue a refund too. If you’re gonna refuse to give me my money back, do you have to gaslight me too? Above all, the staff was also unkind and unforgiving, making this situation all the more frustrating. Just don’t do it to yourself- we ended up at La Quinta down the street instead and it was much more reasonable (nothing fancy but no bugs, a friendly staff waiting to assist you at the counter, and a working toilet!)
