I gave three stars for cleanliness. That is very important, but customer service is my thing. It was lacking. I booked a room through Expedia that was not available when I got there. The gentleman at the desk, accommodated us by offering “an upgrade”. This was a king size room with a pullout bed. Needless to say, my children and I all slept on the king-size bed because the pullout / couch was horribly uncomfortable. It was ridiculously thin, as if it was nothing but a mattress topper. I was grateful for the accommodation, but I would not call it an upgrade. In addition, the Wi-Fi was shotty and the breakfast………… that’s not what I would call it. It was bad. They served waffles in a bag. Lastly, as we all have done, I forgot our toothbrushes. I sent my son to grab one from the front desk, but he was told they didn’t have toothbrushes or forks, which was weird because they serve “breakfast”. And outside of the encounter I had with a gentleman when I checked in, not one employee said a word to us, except for the lady who tidied up our room. She was incredibly kind. Needless to say, for $30 short of $200, I would not stay there again.

May 07, 2025 · Nick Gonzalez LopezWe have stayed at a couple hotels in greensboro and this Fairfield Inn was fantastic. It isnt too far from major areas of Greensboro. We enjoyed it and will choose here again for sure.
Jun 15, 2025 · C. BishopIf you're looking for a disgusting experience turned hilarious story with a nice shock factor, give this place a shot. If you prefer clean rooms, I'd recommend taking your business elsewhere... I booked a reservation to stay here in Oct 2024 and arrived just before midnight. After a long day of travel, I was given my "cleaned" room by the front desk receptionist. Upon entering, I discovered something a bit fishy, if you will… a used douche bag in the bathroom, as shown in the attached photo. The receptionist (who was profusely apologetic) insisted that the room had been cleaned, yet she couldn't explain how my welcome gift was overlooked if that was true. I requested a different room but was informed the hotel was otherwise fully booked. I then asked for the room to be re-cleaned, only to be told that housekeeping wasn't staffed overnight. I later contacted Bonvoy customer service to report the issue. After following up a few weeks later, I learned the case was closed by the hotel's mgmt, claiming that a reimbursement was sufficient. As a regular Marriott guest, I was hoping for a little more than a refund to wash the image out of my head, no pun intended. Given the circumstances, I requested points compensation equivalent to a one night stay to offset the increased rate I paid at another hotel for the few nights I was in town. Bonvoy advised me to expect a response from the hotel in 3 business days... but when I called back 5 days later, I was told the hotel management had re-closed the case without contacting me. Not exactly the customer-first treatment I was hoping for, but at least they're consistent... their communication is as thorough as their housekeeping! Fortunately, Bonvoy rectified the situation to my satisfaction where Fairfield Greensboro Wendover fell short. If you want to stick with Marriott, pay the extra few bucks per night and stay at SpringHill Suites on Landmark Center Blvd... it's nearby AND clean!
