Biggest gripe is guests at the hotel are allowed to let their children to run back and forth on the halls to what I assume is to burn off their energy from the sugar based diet they fed their earlier that evening. I tried calling the front desk bit no one answers. So asked to be placed away from families with children. The other gripe is the $80 charge for the suposed fresh market items i may buy, which i wouldnt because most of it was crap, the charge stays on the card for several days so check to make sure its removed if its not used, the continental breakfast isn't the greatest. I guess for a cheap hotel it's OK but they should strive for better. The place seems clean staff seems ok Just ask the pertinent questions before securing a room.

Apr 20, 2025 · P.J. LadGreat place friendly and clean. They even have homemade cookies sometimes. The Check-in folks are fast and friendly. I praticularly single out Jennifer who has been there for awhile and make sure clients are happy. The breakfast staff is friendly and also make sure everything is replenished prompty. This is a Fairfield but the service is better than a Marriott Marquis. Keep it up folks!
Mar 21, 2025 · JW CreeAfter a superb stay fairly recently at a newer Fairfield, I had raised expectations about the brand. Unfortunately, our visit to the Fairfield Inn Stroudsburg was just okay, not great. To be fair, there really isn't anything "wrong" with the hotel and the staff were friendly and definitely trying their best. Most issues were things outside of their control, which is why the review score isn't lower. The hotel itself is definitely showing its age of 10 years: stained couches, scuffed furniture, and a sad worn tv stand that tilted over. The shower was cramped and had very low water pressure. Our biggest complaint is the lack of soundproofing on the floors. Every time you walk it makes a thud, and since we were unable to get the top floor, we were at the mercy of the elephant herd above us. Several times in the middle of the night, I was startled awake by a loud thump from above. We didn't contact the front desk because it was mostly quiet immediately after, and was probably just the reality of what it's like being a family with kids. Although it was very irritating that first night, the second night there was a different group above and we were able to sleep relatively soundly. Another problem that isn't the hotel's fault, is the large number of semi-unruly children that were scurrying about the first evening and next morning. In the evening there was a period of frequent noises from doors opening and then slamming shut, as if people were going in and out of each other's rooms. To the hotel's credit, there are signs about "quiet hours" posted prominently that were mostly followed. One bright spot was the morning breakfast, which was tasty and well stocked. The staff were also very polite and professional. Overall, we would not stay here again, and will probably avoid older Fairfields from now on. We will also no longer stay in a suite, because they are limited in number and drastically lessen the chance of getting the top floor. Hopefully this location is due for a renovation soon, and perhaps they can add additional padding to the floors to address the noise issue!
Mar 15, 2025 · Dan BrumbaughVery good hotel! Good quality overall and fair price. The bed was comfortable, the temperature was good and easily controlled, there was a free breakfast, gym, and pool, and free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate all day. The only two small complaints were: - The gym was rather small. - Our shower could have been improved and maybe needed a little fixing up. And the drain was slow to drain But despite these, it was a great stay overall and definitely recommend it.
Jan 01, 2025 · David Nagel-NunezMy family and I had a very displeasing stay. Rude staff, horrible service, all breakfast plates were made of styrofoam (zero eco-friendly despite them having an “every towel counts” thing in the bathrooms). There was supposed to be room service every other day but only got our room done once in the whole week we stayed there (despite having asked for our room to be done seeing that they wouldn’t do it). The staff were rude or condescending to us every time we asked for something. Overall not satisfied with our stay and Marriott should be ashamed of the service their partner hotel gives.
