Was quite pleased with the latest stay at this property. The property is undergoing many renovations (which have been needed for a long time). The room was very clean, beds were very comfortable, and everything in the room worked properly. The refrigerator and microwave were welcomed additions. The staff was VERY helpful and accommodating! Our 2 cats traveling with us were welcome (the $10 pet charge was fine by me). Furnishings in the room were somewhat sparse, but think that's due to the work in progress. One of the few places left where you can actually get a smoking room. Considering that this was a smoking room, found that you wouldn't have known that upon arrival (that's how clean the room was!). Price was reasonable. It's not a 5 star property (and does not claim to be), but it is a diamond in the rough. With a little more work it will reach it's full potential. Will definitely be going back here in the future!

Finger Lakes Hotel Introduce

When searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Farmington, NY area, the Finger Lakes Hotel, located at 6108 Loomis Rd, Farmington, NY 14425, USA, might appear as an option. This property presents a unique case, as it appears to be undergoing a transformation while also serving as a more long-term residence for some, leading to varied guest experiences. Providing an objective introduction requires a careful balance of the hotel's evolving state and the direct feedback from its diverse clientele.

The environment of the Finger Lakes Hotel is currently characterized by significant ongoing renovations. This is a crucial piece of information, as it directly impacts the guest experience. One reviewer explicitly states, "The property is undergoing many renovations (which have been needed for a long time)." This suggests a commitment to improvement, aiming to upgrade the overall ambiance and facilities. While this renovation process might mean some areas are still a "work in progress," the immediate impact on guest rooms, for instance, has been positive, with rooms noted for being "very clean" despite the ongoing work. The general aesthetic of the renovated rooms might lean towards a more functional rather than luxurious style, described as "somewhat sparse" in terms of furnishings, a possible temporary state due to the renovations. The hotel also caters to specific needs by being one of "few places left where you can actually get a smoking room," and importantly, even these rooms are noted for their cleanliness, such that "you wouldn't have known that upon arrival" that it was a smoking room.

In terms of services, the Finger Lakes Hotel appears to prioritize guest satisfaction, even amidst renovations. The staff receive high praise, described as "VERY helpful and accommodating!" This is a significant positive, as attentive and cooperative staff can greatly enhance a stay, particularly when a property is in transition. The hotel's phone number is (585) 398-7693 or mobile phone +1 585-398-7693 for direct inquiries. A notable service feature is its pet-friendly policy, welcoming "2 cats traveling with us" for a "fine" $10 pet charge, making it an accessible choice for travelers with companions. This flexibility for pets, combined with accommodating staff, suggests a focus on guest needs. However, a contrasting review, seemingly from a long-term resident, suggests potential interpersonal dynamics among residents, where "they harass the manager, they harass the maintenance man, and other neighbors including us," indicating that while staff might be accommodating to guests, the internal environment with some long-term residents might present challenges or require careful management of expectations regarding community living. The noise ordinance hours from 7 am to 11 pm are mentioned, suggesting a framework for maintaining peace, though adherence can be subjective among residents.

The features of the Finger Lakes Hotel focus on providing essential comforts and conveniences for a practical stay. Guest rooms, especially those that have undergone renovation, are noted for their cleanliness and functionality, with "everything in the room worked properly." The beds are described as "very comfortable," which is a crucial aspect for any hotel stay. Welcomed additions to the rooms include a "refrigerator and microwave," which are particularly beneficial for guests on longer stays or those who prefer to prepare their own simple meals. While the furnishings might be sparse due to ongoing work, the core elements of a comfortable stay appear to be in place and functional. The ability to offer smoking rooms caters to a niche market, ensuring cleanliness even within these specific accommodations.

As an extended stay hotel, additional features typically include on-site laundry facilities, ample parking, and potentially common areas for socializing or business. While not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews, the "ample space to park" is implied by the positive feedback on the overall property. Given the mention of long-term residents, it is reasonable to infer that the hotel caters to both short-term and extended stays, offering the necessary amenities for both. The mention of "noise ordinance hours" also hints at a structured living environment, suggesting that the property might blend hotel operations with aspects of residential living.

From a promotional standpoint, the Finger Lakes Hotel appears to leverage its "reasonable price" as a primary draw. The term "bang for my buck," though not explicitly stated, is implied by the positive sentiment of a reviewer who found the price agreeable given the quality received. The ongoing renovations serve as a promotional promise of future improvement, suggesting that the hotel is actively investing in enhancing the guest experience. The description of it as a "diamond in the rough" with the potential to "reach its full potential" suggests that its current appeal lies in its value and the promise of future upgrades. The positive feedback on cleanliness and comfort, combined with its pet-friendly policy and the rare availability of smoking rooms, could be specific points highlighted for target audiences. The hotel can promote itself as a cost-effective and welcoming option for travelers visiting the Finger Lakes region, particularly those who appreciate a no-frills but clean and comfortable environment.

In conclusion, for local users searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Farmington, NY area, the Finger Lakes Hotel offers a unique proposition. It is a property in active renovation, promising future enhancements, yet currently delivering on core aspects like cleanliness, comfortable beds, and functional in-room amenities such as refrigerators and microwaves. The staff are highly accommodating, and its pet-friendly policy is a significant advantage. While it is not a "5 star property" and does not claim to be, it is seen as a "diamond in the rough" by guests who appreciate its current value. Prospective guests should be aware of the ongoing renovations and the potential for a blend of short-term guests and long-term residents, which might introduce different dynamics to the overall environment, as suggested by the contrasting resident review regarding noise. However, for a clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced stay with a friendly staff, the Finger Lakes Hotel presents a viable and improving option.

I am writing against what "Your Name" has written. I have been here for 4.5 years. I live right next door to these guys. Never had a problem with anyone here, until they showed up. The only banging they hear is the banging they do constantly. I can't even vacuum my floor without them banging. I don't hear anything but their banging and door slamming. Everyone other than them keep to themselves. In accordance with the lease, noise ordinance hours are 7am to 11pm. They harass the manager, they harass the mainatance man, and other neighbors including us. This place has been peaceful for us otherwise. I don't plan on leaving anytime soon.

Highly recommend staying Here! This is an older property being slowly updated. What is lacked in eye appeal is definitely made up in service and atmosphere. The food is awesome, the staff is welcoming, dedicated, and accommodating. Our balcony room had a great view, and convenient amenities including a mini fridge, hair dryer, and coffee maker. With shuttle service for concerts and events.

UPDATE: we were asked to write the previous review when we booked our venue here, not knowing what was going to happen. We had to cancel our wedding and had an agreement that if this happened we would get our money back. Months went by and we were understanding and patient... until they stopped answering us and we still don't have our money back over a year later. We're finally going to court with this horrible place to try to get our money back. Don't have your wedding here. They're nice to you, until it isn't convenient for them! We are currently planning our wedding for next year at this location. Everything has been great so far! They have taken care of all our needs, answered all questions and went above and beyond to make us happy. Food is amazing. They are currently fixing the rooms and making improvements so I'm excited for that. I hope our day goes as I dream it and well... so far the owner, Angelo, has been making sure it does❤

Stayed here recently for a wedding and was not impressed at all. Upon arrival, my husband and I went into our assigned room and promptly turned around to request a different one because the smell of smoke was extremely strong, enough where both of us were coughing and would not be able to stay. They switched our room, but I wouldn’t call the new room we got an “upgrade”. Everything there was pretty outdated, plain and worst of all many of the other wedding guests had stains in there room, dirty bathrooms and bed bugs, which was obviously the biggest concern. I didn’t feel comfortable staying here and it was definitely not worth the price of the room (they did kindly compensate some of the room cost due to the inconvenience). I would recommend choosing another place, it’ll most likely be cheaper and cleaner!
