Galaxy Motel Brooklyn

The rooms get a 4 due to blanket had couple of holes. Needed more pillows. Location is good because of all the places to eat from and easy transportation. Upside the entrance of the parking lot is too narrow.

Do not be scammed! This hotel was a shelter for the homeless and is used by the local ladies of the night. Very dirty and run down. The place smells of smoke and narcotics. Do not believe the fake ratings. There is no dining or breakfast option, or room service. Very disgusting rooms. BEWARE!

The room itself looks nice but the room we stayed in the floor looks like it hadn't swept in 2 weeks, the refrigerator the microwave oh gosh dont get me started and the sheets had hair on them was dirty. So I went to the front desk and the guy told me I had to wait for the cleaning rew to come in 830pm for them to clean the room. So we went to the store and bought cleaning supplies, wiped down everything except the floor smh. Again the room itself is nice but the cleaning people are not doing a good job keeping the rooms clean at all.

Galaxy Motel suddenly stopped taking debit cards. We went in today after previously coming and the price went up and they no longer take debit cards even with you showing proof of ID. Which is now part of the new policy along with the prices going up. I went to use the ATM which did not work and got charged $140. The front desk was very dismissive about the charge and the inconvenience of having to wait. He lacked empathy and provided no assistance as we waited extremely tired. No one was called for assistance and we were just told to wait without any explanation. The person behind the desk resumed to play on his phone as we waited without further explanation.

This is a nightmare place. I mean it. We tried to book a late night room same night, even selecting a 12:30 am check in time - but when I called to confirm, the man at the desk angrily told me that there was no such thing as same night booking, and that I would have to come at 3 pm the next day. I spent the next 12 hours trying to figure out how to cancel the booking, calling back twice, and they yelled at me and told me that there was no way they could cancel the booking, that I needed to cancel through the site I’d used (though I had booked directly through their site according to their own confirmation email), and that my only option was to dispute the charge with my bank. Do not stay here, do not try to talk to them.
