This was our second time staying in this hotel and unfortunately we won't be back. Housekeeping has gone down. Our couch was full of dog fur and when I lifted the cushions they hadn't ever been vacuumed. It was full of crumbs, dirt and even a hair tie. The bathroom sink had hair all over it that I had to clean up with our one washcloth. When I went to the desk to ask for another hand towel and wash cloth she told me they were slammed and didn't have any more hand towels so she gave me a bath towel instead. Breakfast was atrocious and possibly made us sick. None of the food was hot and the offerings were meager. The only good thing about breakfast was the orange juice. Even the coffee was luke warm. We skipped breakfast on the 3rd day. The pool was warm and clean and the hot tub was slightly warmer though not the 104° I was expecting. We always had the pool room to ourselves on a weekday stay. It didn't seem like the hotel was very full. We never ran into any other guests except a couple at breakfast. There was a community microwave in the lobby as there wasn't one in our room. Hot coffee was offered from a machine in the lobby. No coffee was available in our room. It's also important to note there's no elevators in this hotel and it is very long with lots of walking. I stayed here while on crutches last year and really wish I had known this ahead of time. I would say this hotel covers your basic needs for an overnight stay.

This establishment aims to provide a comfortable and accessible stay for those exploring the White Mountains region.
The Green Granite Inn, Ascend Hotel Collection, located at 1515 White Mountain Hwy, North Conway, NH 03860, USA, can be reached by phone at (603) 356-6901 or mobile at +1 603-356-6901. Its location is a key feature, placing it near the tax-free shopping outlets of Settlers' Green Outlet Village and offering easy access to various local attractions and outdoor recreation opportunities along Highway 302.
The hotel is described as having a rustic charm with a lodge-style decor and a cozy atmosphere. The lobby is noted for its inviting ambiance, complete with a fireplace and comfortable couches, providing a common area for guests to relax. However, some guests have noted that the overall appearance of the hotel, and the pictures on the website, might be outdated, suggesting that the property could benefit from renovations.
When it comes to services and amenities, Green Granite Inn offers several features to enhance a guest's stay. A 24-hour front desk is available to assist guests, and the hotel provides complimentary Wi-Fi in both public areas and guest rooms. For those traveling by car, free on-site parking is provided. The hotel is also pet-friendly, allowing dogs with an additional charge and specific policies (typically 2 pets per room, dogs only, with food and water bowls available). While service animals are exempt from fees, guests have reported instances of pet fur in rooms, indicating potential inconsistencies in housekeeping.
For leisure and recreation, the hotel boasts two swimming pools: a heated indoor pool and a seasonal outdoor pool, both equipped with pool umbrellas and loungers. There is also a hot tub, though some guests have found its temperature to be less than expected. A fitness center is available for guests who wish to maintain their workout routines. Families may appreciate the children's play area, playground on site, and an arcade/game room. The hotel also offers barbecue grills and a picnic area for outdoor enjoyment.
Regarding accommodation, Green Granite Inn features 91 individually furnished rooms. Guests can choose from a variety of room configurations, including standard rooms with double or queen beds, as well as suites with king beds and sofa beds, some with jetted tubs. Certain rooms may also include a balcony or patio. Standard in-room amenities typically include a 24-inch cable television, air conditioning with climate control, blackout drapes/curtains, iron/ironing board, coffee/tea maker, hairdryer, and complimentary toiletries in the private bathrooms (which feature shower/tub combinations). Some rooms are noted to have mini-fridges, and select rooms offer a kitchenette with a microwave. Free rollaway/extra beds and cribs/infant beds are available upon request, catering to families. Connecting rooms are also an option. It's important to note that the hotel does not have elevators, which could be a consideration for guests with mobility challenges.
One of the services highlighted is the complimentary continental breakfast served each morning. This typically includes standard items such as toast, cereals, pancakes, juice, and coffee. However, recent guest feedback suggests that the breakfast offerings can be meager, and the food may not always be served hot, leading to dissatisfaction. Coffee is also available from a machine in the lobby throughout the day.
For business travelers, the hotel provides a 24-hour business center, a computer station, and meeting rooms, with a conference center that can accommodate up to 65 people. This makes it a potential venue for small meetings or events.
Promotional information often emphasizes the hotel's family-friendly atmosphere and its proximity to North Conway's attractions. These include the Settlers' Green Outlet Village for shopping, Cranmore Mountain Resort and Attitash for skiing, Story Land amusement park, Conway Scenic Railroad for a scenic journey, and outdoor activities on the Saco River. The hotel frequently offers packages and special rates, including Choice Privileges points accelerator packages for members. Guests should inquire directly with the hotel or check their official website for current promotions and availability. While the hotel aims to offer a good value, recent customer reviews indicate that cleanliness and maintenance, particularly in common areas and rooms, need significant improvement, and some guests have felt unsafe due to the perceived presence of long-term residents. The "balconies" are also noted as not being private. However, positive comments highlight the friendliness of some staff members, such as Chris at the front desk, and some guests have found the pool warm and clean.
In summary, Green Granite Inn, Ascend Hotel Collection, aims to provide a basic, family-friendly stay in North Conway with amenities like indoor and outdoor pools, complimentary breakfast, and a convenient location. While it offers essential services and caters to various traveler needs, potential guests should be aware of recent feedback regarding inconsistencies in housekeeping, breakfast quality, and the general condition of the property. For those seeking a simple overnight stay with access to local attractions, it may cover basic needs, but managing expectations regarding modern amenities and overall upkeep is advisable.

May 13, 2025 · Karen SmithWe stayed here one night. The pictures on the website are old and very deceiving. The entire place was rundown. Rooms were dirty and smelled. The "balcony" was not private, anyone could go under or over the partition and get access to our room. Asked if people lived there and was told, "yes, but they work here". There was a bike rack out front. I did not feel safe there. Back in the day, I am sure it was a grand hotel......but that was long ago. The brightest part of our stay was when we checked out and Chris was at the front desk, he was awesome. I will NEVER stay there again and will be sure to share my experience with everyone. Trust me, look elsewhere.
May 12, 2025 · Patty WakefieldHonestly, it's not as bad as the reviews said. The lady at the front desk was very nice, I lost my 5 dollars bill to the drinking machine and didn't get it back because this is my first time in the US, she helped me and gave me 5 dollars, big thanks to her! The room was pretty neat, but the hallway smells a little bit funny, The Windows section needs some cleaning, though. Staff were really friendly! Breakfast has sausages, overall an 8/10 experience.
Apr 05, 2025 · Mepik101My family used to stay at red jacket inn but then we discovered this place. Greatest bang for your buck. Pool and hot tub is very nice. Love the home feel with the taxidermy and the cool ford in the lobby. Overall love this place except I could screen mirror to the tvs.
Apr 18, 2025 · Luke ChaseAs others have said…looks nice from the pics. That is until you get in your room. Room was as far away from the lobby as you can get and on the 2nd floor even though it was midweek with few quests. The guests that we did have were from some migrant construction business from Mass. who decided to camp out in the hot tub area all afternoon and night to close. The room had mismatched door knobs, broken lamps, dirty carpet, dingy and dark the bathroom had/has a vinyl floor that is peeling up and chipped. There was so much sand in the parking lots as mentioned in a previous review from months ago that is literally still there. Could be a nice place with a good location …but isn’t.
