Green Harbor Waterfront Lodging Introduce

For local users Browse the "Hotels Near Of Me" category who are seeking a truly idyllic and often extended escape on Cape Cod, Green Harbor Waterfront Lodging presents itself as a highly-rated and cherished "gem" in East Falmouth. Situated at 134 Acapesket Rd, East Falmouth, MA 02536, USA, this property offers a unique blend of quiet waterfront charm, practical amenities, and a notably welcoming environment for both guests and their furry companions. Its appeal is rooted in providing a serene and comfortable vacation spot that encourages repeat visits.

Environment and Ambiance

Green Harbor Waterfront Lodging is nestled in a "beautiful wooded setting" overlooking a picturesque "ocean inlet," creating a peaceful and "quaint and quiet" atmosphere that is often highlighted by guests. The property embraces its waterfront location, offering spacious lawns, a garden, and a terrace where guests can relax and enjoy the scenic views. A private "boating beach" on a saltwater cove, complete with a free boat ramp and dock, is a distinctive feature, catering to those who wish to bring their own boats or enjoy paddle boats and rowboats provided by the lodging. The ambiance is one of classic, unpretentious Cape Cod charm, often described as "immaculate" across the property, including the "pristine" and "immaculate" pool and rooms. While one review mentioned some noise from "machine (landscaping and god knows what)" from surrounding properties during Friday and Saturday, the overall impression is one of tranquility, particularly in the mornings and evenings, making it "nice to sit outside." The lodging aims to provide an authentic "hometown hospitality" amidst the natural beauty of Cape Cod. It is a smoke-free property, ensuring a fresh indoor environment, with designated outdoor smoking areas available.

Services and Amenities

Green Harbor Waterfront Lodging offers a range of services and amenities designed for a comfortable and self-sufficient stay. A standout feature, consistently praised by guests, is the "immaculate" outdoor pool. This pool is heated to 84 degrees Fahrenheit and operates seasonally, typically from Memorial Day weekend to Columbus Day weekend, providing a refreshing and comfortable swimming experience. There's also a separate kiddie pool, making it very family-friendly. The lodging provides free usage of paddleboats and rowboats for guests to explore the inlet, along with a free boat ramp and dock for those bringing their own vessels.

Guest rooms, comprising 37 cozy units and a three-bedroom cottage, are designed to be comfortable and functional. Many rooms, particularly waterfront and beachside units, feature a slider to a balcony or patio overlooking the water, allowing guests to enjoy the scenic views. Standard in-room amenities across all units include air conditioning, heating, flat-screen TVs with cable channels, coffee makers, and phones. Free high-speed wireless internet access is available in rooms and public areas. Most rooms also include a refrigerator and microwave, with many units featuring full kitchens, providing guests with the flexibility to prepare their own meals. This self-catering option is a significant advantage, especially for extended stays.

The lodging is notably "pet friendly," welcoming up to two pets per room for a low daily fee (typically $10 per pet, per day), which is significantly lower than many other local accommodations. The expansive grounds offer "acres of scenic open spaces" for walking pets, and the staff is often described as "caring." Pet owners are required to keep pets on a leash, clean up after them, and not leave them unattended in rooms or allow them in the pool area. For guest convenience, laundry facilities are available on-site. The front desk operates for limited hours (typically 9 AM - 9 PM), and guests planning late arrivals are advised to contact the property in advance. Complimentary self-parking is available in a large, off-street lot. Concierge services are offered to assist with planning activities and local recommendations. Other outdoor amenities include picnic areas with barbecue grills, umbrella tables, lawn games, and shuffleboard, fostering a relaxed and engaging atmosphere. Cribs/infant beds are available for a daily fee. The lodging is wheelchair-accessible at the registration desk and in common areas, with portable ADA amenities available to customize rooms, though upper floors are only accessible by stairs.

A beautiful property with a lot of potential. Rooms are smallish but not bad. Bathroom was updated and clean, main room smelled a bit musty and like cleaning products. Outdoor space and pool are very charming and family friendly. Could just be the days but Friday and Saturday were very noisy with hours of machine (landscaping and god knows what) coming from the surrounding properties...very off-putting. Morning and night were pretty quiet and nice to sit outside

Nice clean room with a great view + kitchen. Been staying here for years because it's dog friendly. Many restaurants + beach are a short drive but nothing walkable. No food services. Service is a 3-star because they do not provide maid services over the stay unless requested.

Per my follow-up email to the hotel: I think you should know that the room we stayed in was in terrible condition when we arrived. There were near empty bottles (2 of them) strewn about the room: one in the bathroom, one by the bed. There were dirty socks under the bed, along with someone's old pair of broken glasses. There were old newspapers & magazines in the dresser drawers. The dresser drawers had visible flecks of MOLD on the exterior surfaces...and I knew why: the room was constantly WET! I understand that the Cape weather creates a dynamic for concrete/basement rooms but the wetness compounded with the fact that no one had been in there to clean for what I would guess to be months, made for a very uncomfortable stay. and...THE SMELL was disgusting-- like someone died in the room & all you did was put in a Glade plug-in...which did NOT HELP!! When we were leaving, we saw the cleaning crew inside of another room-- they were mopping the walls with bleach & I only WISHED the same person had been the one to clean our room before we got there...I would have gladly smelled the lingering scent of bleach over the disgusting Glade/Mold/Death combination that was in our room. You really have a lot of nerve renting out rooms in that condition-- as low as the cost is, there is still an expectation that the room should come CLEAN. This room was FAR from that.

I stay here every year during the week of 4th of July and this year wasn’t different. But I was very disappointed this year. I really wish they would update the units because they accept dogs but some rooms have carpet so it smells from dogs pee . And the room was super dirty, dusty, smelly. It was awful we checked out one day before because we just couldn’t. Really hope they fix these issues because over all I love this place.
