The environment of the Hall House Hotel is steeped in history, setting it apart from many contemporary accommodations. Dating back to 1881, it holds the distinction of being the second oldest building on Dahlonega's historic square. The hotel retains its vintage charm, with architectural details that transport guests back to a bygone era. It shares its historic building with other local businesses, such as the Bourbon Street Grille and Bleu Art Gallery, creating a lively and integrated community feel. While the building is historic, the interior is thoughtfully updated to offer comfort without sacrificing character. Guests often describe the atmosphere as quaint and charming, providing a genuine sense of Dahlonega's rich past.
The accommodations at the Hall House Hotel are intimate and individually designed, offering a personalized stay. The hotel features five distinct rooms, each with its own character and amenities. Nov 24, 2024 · Katie Louise WhitmireWe stayed in "the Big Room" for our 12th anniversary, a popular choice for anniversaries we saw by the little chalk board by the desk. The room is spacious and comfortable. The view from the deck (not really a balcony) is not the best, but allows lots of fresh air and a feeling of privacy while also enjoying sounds of the city. The deck was a GREAT place to watch the UGA game, and the location is a brief walk to all the best restaurants and shops on the square. / We had one issue with the deck TV, and the manager showed up within minutes to fix the satellite box and get the game on TV for us.
Sep 15, 2024 · Todd RudyMy wife and I stayed in the big room. It was nice but the bed is hard as a rock and the restaurant underneath doesn’t get calm until near midnight so don’t expect much sleep.
Dec 18, 2024 · TrevorMy husband and I stayed in Sara’s room for our 25th anniversary. The location is wonderful, easy access to restaurant's, shopping etc. The room got really warm due to being cooled by a window unit and ceiling fan. The photos on the website are a little dated, the decor has changed some; bed, chair etc. Overall I would stay here again.
Jul 16, 2024 · South Carolina GirlGreat communication with the Hotel Owner when i left my purse there by accident. The vineyard room was quaint and clean and in a great location downtown. I give it 4 stars because the room could use an upgrade on the aesthetics. Keep in mind this is a historic building so not everything is gonna be perfectly leveled and the hardwood floors have some wear and tear. However, it was very clean, safe, and walkable to downtown. Overall a great experience for a long weekend.
