Room was good, front desk staff person was helpful. Management, not so good. We were double billed, having booked and paid through the Cap1 Travel Portal. Also billed a second time on our regular Hilton card on file. Contacted the hotel twice through email and left a voice message for the GM once over the course of 5 days with no response. Since our stay was two weeks earlier, I was hoping to get the double billing removed before the credit card bill was due. No luck there, but most disturbing was the total lack of response from management. Forced to file a dispute with the credit card company, not my favorite way to spend time!

Its address on Interchange Road places it conveniently near major roadways, allowing for easy navigation to and from the hotel. This location is particularly beneficial for those visiting the renowned Blue Mountain Ski Resort, which is approximately a 21-minute drive away. This proximity makes it a favorable choice for winter sports enthusiasts. Beyond skiing, the hotel serves as an excellent gateway to the charming town of Jim Thorpe, often referred to as "Switzerland of America," with its Victorian architecture, unique shops, and outdoor adventure opportunities like whitewater rafting and hiking. The surrounding environment is typically suburban, with commercial areas nearby providing access to dining and retail options, yet it still offers a sense of tranquility away from urban bustle. The hotel benefits from ample parking available on the side and back of the building, which is a significant convenience for guests traveling by car.
The Hampton Inn brand is well-regarded for its consistent delivery of quality services and thoughtful amenities, and the Lehighton-Jim Thorpe location generally upholds this reputation. A cornerstone of the Hampton Inn experience is the complimentary breakfast, which is a major draw for guests looking to save on dining expenses. The breakfast offers a variety of choices, including the popular make-your-own waffle station, fresh fruit, assorted cereals, scrambled eggs, and pork sausage. While one guest noted that the eggs "tasted like powdered eggs" and expressed a preference for pork bacon over sausage, the overall sentiment is that it's a "great option to save money" and offers "various items available" to find something appealing. Beyond breakfast, guests appreciate the 24-hour availability of coffee and tea in the lobby, a simple yet highly valued amenity for early risers or late-night arrivals. The unexpected bonus of "fresh popped popcorn in the lobby" upon arrival, as mentioned by a guest, adds a touch of welcoming hospitality.
In-room amenities contribute to a comfortable stay, with spacious rooms being a notable feature. Guests have access to ice machines on the floors, adding to convenience. The front desk staff are often praised for their helpfulness, indicating a strong commitment to guest satisfaction from the initial check-in. While not explicitly mentioned in the provided text, Hampton Inn properties typically offer free Wi-Fi, a fitness center, and often an indoor swimming pool, which are standard amenities contributing to a well-rounded guest experience.
One of the key features of the Hampton Inn Lehighton-Jim Thorpe is its commitment to providing a consistent and reliable experience that the Hampton Inn brand is known for. The spacious rooms offer comfort, and the overall cleanliness is generally well-maintained, contributing to a pleasant stay. The complimentary breakfast and 24-hour beverage service represent significant value-adds, enhancing the guest experience without additional cost. Similarly, its proximity to Jim Thorpe opens up opportunities for historical exploration, outdoor activities, and unique shopping experiences.
However, it is important to address a critical aspect highlighted by a guest review: the issue of double billing and the "total lack of response from management." While the front desk staff was praised for being helpful, the difficulty in resolving a billing error through email and voicemails to the General Manager is a significant concern. This suggests that while operational staff might be excellent, there could be challenges with administrative responsiveness, potentially leading to frustration for guests facing similar issues. Another specific tip from a guest to "avoid room 204 if you want to open the shades and see outside" due to its view of the front entrance overhang, provides a practical insight for future bookings, indicating that room views might vary significantly.
For local users searching for "Hotels Near Of Me," the Hampton Inn Lehighton-Jim Thorpe's value proposition is built on its combination of trusted brand quality, convenient location, and complimentary amenities. The free breakfast and 24-hour coffee/tea service are particularly appealing for budget-conscious travelers. Guests are encouraged to check the Hilton website or contact the hotel directly at (610) 377-3400 or +1 610-377-3400 for the most up-to-date promotional offers, seasonal packages, and corporate rates. May 20, 2025 · Daniel StaffordCheck in was easy; there is parking on the side and back of the building. The rooms are spacious. There are ice machines available on the floors. Breakfast is complimentary with choices of making your own waffle, fruit, cereal, scrambled eggs, pork sausage, juice, and more. Coffee and tea are available 24 hours a day and when we arrived on Saturday afternoon, there was fresh popped popcorn in the lobby. The breakfast was not to my liking but it’s a great option to save money and with the various items available, you can find something you like. I had the waffle, scrambled eggs and pork sausage and the eggs tasted like powdered eggs which they likely were, and I don’t eat a lot of pork but prefer pork bacon versus pork sausage. The taste of bacon is better for me. I had a room on the second floor, room 204 to be exact. TIP: Avoid this room if you want to open the shades and see outside. This room looks directly at the front entrance overhang, so you get to see the roof of the entrance and a little of the driveway. Just terrible. This is approximately 21-minute drive from Blue Mountain Ski Resort.
Feb 14, 2025 · Shertinas Travel LLCThis was by far one of the nicest Hampton Inn's we have stayed at. Our room was clean, comfortable, quiet, and it smelled great.. Likewise the bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was more than adequate.I would recommend this Hampton Inn if you are near the Jim Thorpe area.
Apr 13, 2025 · Steven SchrenzelI booked a double queen through Expedia and the person at the check-in desk neither verified my identification nor what type of room I had booked. Instead I was given a king with a sofa bed. I went back down to the desk to let her know, and she said she gave us the last room available with a double queen because most guests were "there for the weekend" compared to us only coming for Saturday night. It was already around 6 pm by then, and the second room clearly had not been turned around properly. The beds were made across the top, but the bedding was not tucked in on the sides, there was trash in the room that was not ours, a large towel on the floor right behind the door to the room, fresh towels that hadn't been used, but also had not been folded or placed properly on the shelf. It was a noisy night for most of the night until around 1 am, at one point even two employees were standing right outside our room (118), having a loud conversation for 10-15 minutes that I could hear every word of. I eventually got out of bed and asked them to stop, and then they still kept talking for another minute or two before they finally walked away. I would never stay here again, as much as I have relied on and preferred the Hampton/Hilton brand in the past. Hot breakfast is a nice touch, but only if you eat pork as that is the only protein option. The beds were a little too firm and the pillows a little too soft for me, but needs on that vary. Also check and make sure the alarm is not set on the room clock because after having a hard time getting to sleep it woke us up at 6 am on Sunday when we hadn't set it.
