A Wonderful Stay!!!!Just spent a weekend away with my husband in Jim Thorpe. The hotel is located right in the heart of Jim Thorpe, walking distance from all the restaurants, cafes, and unique stores. The hotel is nestled above Molly Maguire's pub, but you wouldn't know it, as it was extremely quiet and in the hotel, you would never know there was a bar so close. Molly Maguire's is also worth checking out too. :) Just to note, after accessing the hotel, you do go up a flight of stairs. Our room at Hotel Switzerland was warm and charming; the room was amazingly lit with natural light through the tall windows. It also had an en-suite bathroom. It reminded me of a room in a Victorian bed and breakfast- a good thing! We had great nights sleep too. I really enjoy coming to Jim Thorpe and I will absolutely stay here again. I rated the rooms 4 stars because, if you want the sleek, modern feel of a brand-new Hilton-style hotel, it isn't that, But it is cozy and has charm and character that make for a more unique and inviting stay. I rated 5 for service as when we first checked in, we realized we had mistakenly booked a room which did not have an en-suite. The hotel were really accommodating and changed our room for us. The other room was nice too, but I did want an en-suit bathroom. I rated 5 for location because the hotel really is right in the center of Jim Thorpe. It is at one end of the main street, and the whole street is a great stroll filled with boutiques, galleries, bars, cafes, and niche stores.

(The heat was on HI Blast and I wish I could have turned it off - but other than that - I’d definitely go back Pam (using my sons google account)

Apr 26, 2025 · Ryan Neffwhen you check in you have to check in with pub bartender. it was very busy so it took awhile to get checked in and your standing right in the path of everyone. once your checked in you follow outside to gate that goes up to the rooms. only one room in this building they said that has its own bathroom shower all other rooms share. room was clean had an extra blanket a window air conditioner. the room and shower are very small but fair price. there is a handsoap dispenser on shower wall for it says hand and body soap. this place is near alot of things. check in 3pm check out 11am

Bathroom had diarrhea stains on and under the seat and in the bowl, one room had no lock or even a handle, pillow had makeup stains, bed had a bunch of hair (human) on it, you hear the Gong of the big clock outside all night, can't sleep, check-in was strange, had to wait for a bartender in a busy bar carrying your bags in a room chock full of people where you're basically in everyone's way and no parking on the property. Contacted them by email about our experience, no response. I hope this review will help, stay away from this hotel.
