We stayed one night in May. I called the Hampton in April and made reservations for two rooms because my children were driving in from Chattanooga. The clerk said there was only one room reserved. Big problem! And no other rooms available! Only one elevator working. Could not get the WiFi to work until the clerk fixed me up. A cleaning staff woman barged into our room without knocking shortly after we were settled in. The front desk staff were nice. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding.

May 08, 2025 · Sally McEneryDon’t bother booking a room here. As the very rude front desk clerk told me last night when trying to check in, this hotel oversells their capacity “all the time” and he frequently turns people away when they show up to check in, as he did to me last night. I know it’s not particularly uncommon to oversell and has even happened to me before as well, but the hotel has always offered to move my reservation to a nearby “sister” hotel. I asked if he could do the same, and again, very rudely, was told no. He also couldn’t confirm whether or not I would still be charged for the room they let me book but not sleep in. Also of note, we had only booked the room a few hours earlier and had even called to let them know what time we’d be arriving, since it was going to be late after check in. Between making the reservation (& calling to confirm our check in time) to actually checking in and being told the room didn’t exist (that we were screwed in quite literally the middle of the night) only about 4 hours has passed. Hands down the worst “customer service” I have experienced. This area is full of hotels, avoid this one.
Jun 15, 2025 · Bradi MusilFor the love of God, do NOT book a room at this hotel. We unfortunately did, and upon arrival, were told our room was not available and the hotel was fully booked (despite securing a reservation just a few hours earlier). Even worse than that, we have never been treated with as much contempt as we were by the manager on duty at the front desk. It was honestly surreal to be treated so poorly given the fact that the hotel was the one in the wrong. The manager refused to even check availability at other Hampton hotels in the area for us. He all but spit in our faces and seemed to be enjoying it. I almost never leave reviews, but this was a truly egregious experience. Based on how horrible it was, I will never in my life stay at another Hampton hotel. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
Jun 15, 2025 · Spencer TrentWe prepaid for our room in February, when we got there to check in at 330pm our room still was not ready. Manager upgraded us to a suite so we were pleased with that. Only one elevator was working so that meant waiting forever or taking the stairs. Hotel was packed due to multiple sporting events and our suite was right by the stairwell, so all day and night the door was slamming and echoes of people yelling in the stairwell. Room was nice though with lots of room. When we left we noticed a charge on our card and called to ask about it. There is a $25 per day charge to park in the hotels parking lot. No one even mentioned it or told us where parking was allowed elsewhere. Walking distance to many restaurants and to Centennial Park. We had come to see the Parthenon only to find out it was closed after we had checked in and gone for dinner.
Apr 29, 2025 · Tim ElginI had a payment issue that needed immediate attention about a misunderstanding from another employee. Keisha at the front desk who originally checked me in handled and diffused the confusion with grace and helped me , and because of her excellent customer service and great communication skills with me I’ll be back. I remembered her from a prior visit since I’m a voice patient at Vanderbilt which is why I was there in the first place and she always makes everyone feel so welcome! My room wasn’t clean and the floors need to be shampooed terribly in the room I stayed in #317, not the standard I’m used to at any Hampton and especially when I was just there from a month before.
