Mar 29, 2025 · Michael FarruggiaBooked the room for 4 nights to attend the annual model train show at the nearby “Big E”. This hotel was recommended by a friend who stays there for the show. Upon waking up after the 3rd night, there was water on the floor in the bathroom. The fire sprinkler was leaking and there was water in the ceiling light fixture. Water and electricity don’t mix! There was another leak coming above the shower head above the bathtub. I alerted the front desk right away. They said they would switch my room. This would be done after I returned from the train show. No problem. Except when I got that new room, it had NO hot water. It was ICE COLD! Not what you want in mid-January. I alerted the front desk right away, who said they would send maintenance to check it out. Two more calls and maintenance never showed up. Finally they said they would switch my room again. I had to make a stink to get the front desk clerk to bring up a new set of keys so that I wouldn’t have to go downstairs and get them along with taking my stuff down as well. Needless to say, the next time I attend the train show, I will NOT be staying here!

After finally reaching someone, I canceled 12 hours outside the 5 day cancelation period. You charged me for the stay regardless, after saying “no problem” and with no mention of the charge on the phone. This is the first time I’ve felt scammed by a Hilton. Would’ve just kept the trip if we’d be paying regardless, even though we are not at fault for your phone line not working. Untrustworthy and unethical location. We will be escalating to Hilton corporate and disputing with credit card company, but this all should’ve been taken care of by the location manager when we spoke with him.

The elevators have no inspection certificates and the door opened before the elevator stopped completely, misaligned. Room was mostly clean except floor. Ceiling light squished against sprinkler. Breakfast area was comically small and people were bumping into each other to try and get food and hot beverages, which is a safety hazard. Food was overcooked. Hotel looked nothing like advertised pictures and is 3 star by name only, certainly NOT by quality! I have stayed in better rooms in Times Square for less money! Would not go back or recommend!
