5 star service from start to finish. We had such a wonderful stay at Hidden Pond and loved both the Bungalow and The Treetop Lodges. This is such a unique setting with a rustic yet luxurious feel. It was raining during our entire stay so we did not get use most of the amenities but I was able to get a fabulous massage with Kristina and enjoy many delicious meals at Earth. We also got to enjoy happy hour at the Tides Beach Club which I can imagine is such a treat on a sunny summer day. We can't wait to plan our next trip back!

Stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage. We loved every minute. Beds were comfortable and cozy. We loved the patio with daybed. Coffee and pastries delivered every morning. We rented a golf cart which was fun for my boys. Bikes available, one of the best stays we have had. Maine, you have our hearts.

We stayed at Hidden Pond for a long weekend in mid October. The property is beautiful and bungalow room was well appointed. However, we were there on a particularly cold/rainy weekend and I don't think the rooms are equipped for cold weather. It was quite chilly despite heat on high. There was also a live bird inside our room when we arrived - luckily staff arrived for turndown right around the same time we did and were able to get it out quickly. Breakfast at Earth was good but service was slow. Massages were just OK for the price. I most of this feedback to management after our stay. Given the price per night, I would not recommend a stay in the Fall - guests are really unable to take advantage of all the amenities (pool, beach, etc.).

My wife and I really wanted to like this place. They've got some great ideas, but just couldn't follow through during our weekend with them recently. The attention to detail just wasn't there, especially at this price point. I'm not sure if they were understaffed or what was going on, but there were several swings and misses. Starting at check-in, we were told that our gas fireplace wasn't working. These are cabins in the woods and the fireplace is the centerpiece. I asked about a different room and we were told that they were fully booked. OK, fine- we were told that a manager would "text us" to let us know what they could do. We were expecting some sort of discount. Instead, we never heard from anyone, despite asking again the next day. This was a bummer. Other little things as well- There is supposed to be granola stocked in each room. Ours had none and when I asked for some the worker told me he would return if he could find any. He never came back. I asked a for a refill of green tea- they didn't have any. We were supposed to have coffee delivered each day before 8am. It would come a bit after 8 and was lukewarm by the time it arrived. We also went to breakfast at the hotel restaurant (Earth). Our server was great but he was the only one there and service was super slow. The room itself was a bit strange as well. There was no place to put clothes aside from a bureau, which was jammed in the bathroom in an awkward location. The bathroom mirror was made of this artificial wood thing, but was small and too high for my wife to see her face (she's a normal height!). Lots of great ideas here (cabin-chic), but they just weren't able to pull them off. Probably end of season staffing issues, but for 900/night, I would expect more.

This is our second time coming to stay at Hidden Pond. Very quiet, relaxing, and charming. Worth the price.
