First - the room was immaculate. I'm talking very crisp and clean. Second, Jazzy and his staff were great. Flights were canceled so we all showed up at 2am to check in. They got us through and in our rooms quickly. Third, no there was no pancakes for breakfast but there was delicious sausage, egg and cheese omelets and hot sauce for my eggs, plus hot coffee. It was just fine for me. Lastly, the location is great. You can walk 2 blocks and hop on the E train to Times Square or hop on the Air Train to go to JFK. I did both. I'd stay there again even if I were just visiting.

I also need to make sure to present only information that can be inferred from the provided text.Considering the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform, the introduction should focus on aspects relevant to someone looking for immediate accommodation nearby.Let's break down the information from the reviews:Positive Review Highlights: Room: Immaculate, very crisp and clean. Staff: Jazzy and his staff were great, quick check-in at 2 AM. Breakfast: Delicious sausage, egg, and cheese omelets, hot sauce, hot coffee (no pancakes mentioned, but still positive). Location: Great, 2 blocks to E train (Times Square), AirTrain to JFK. Guest would stay again even for visiting. Negative Review Highlights: Cleanliness/Arrival: Front sliding glass doors covered in orange vomit, employee had no intention of cleaning. Staff: Employee clearly hated his job, unhelpful regarding room availability, found a different room type than booked (two queen beds instead of king). Location/Environment: Awful, not safe at night, yelling, honking, non-stop police sirens outside room all night. Lobby/Safety: Prostitutes awaiting rides and smoking inside the lobby late at night. Recommendation: Pay extra $100 to stay elsewhere. Truly awful experience. Environment:

The environment surrounding the Holiday Inn Express Jamaica - JFK Airtrain - NYC is distinctly urban, characteristic of Jamaica, Queens. Its address on Sutphin Boulevard places it within a lively and active commercial corridor. Guests considering this location should anticipate a dynamic streetscape, with a mix of local businesses, various forms of transportation, and pedestrian activity. The hotel's immediate vicinity offers unparalleled access to vital transit links. As highlighted by a positive customer review, the location is described as "great," noting that guests "can walk 2 blocks and hop on the E train to Times Square or hop on the Air Train to go to JFK." This proximity to Jamaica Station, a major transit hub for the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), several NYC subway lines (including the E, J, and Z trains), and the AirTrain to JFK Airport, is a significant draw, positioning the hotel as an excellent choice for travelers prioritizing connectivity. This convenience allows for relatively easy movement to and from JFK International Airport, as well as to popular Manhattan destinations and other parts of Queens.

However, the urban environment also comes with its challenges, as indicated by a negative review. This review describes the location as "awful" and "definitely not a place you should ever go out at night," reporting "people were outside our room all night yelling, honking, with non-stop police sirens." This suggests that while highly convenient for transit, the immediate surroundings can be noisy and may not always feel safe, particularly during nighttime hours. Furthermore, the same review mentioned arriving to find the "front, sliding glass doors covered in orange vomit" and expressed concern about the presence of individuals, described as "prostitutes awaiting their ride and smoking inside" the lobby late at night. These varying accounts paint a picture of an environment that is undeniably convenient for transportation but can also be subject to the typical noise and occasional less desirable aspects of a bustling urban setting. The overall environmental experience appears to be heavily influenced by individual tolerance for urban intensity and specific circumstances during their stay.

Services:

The Holiday Inn Express Jamaica - JFK Airtrain - NYC by IHG aims to provide a range of essential services to ensure a comfortable stay for its guests, consistent with the Holiday Inn Express brand. Customer reviews offer specific insights into the quality and availability of some of these services.

One of the most frequently appreciated services for Holiday Inn Express properties is the complimentary breakfast. While a positive review noted the absence of pancakes, it highlighted the availability of "delicious sausage, egg and cheese omelets and hot sauce for my eggs, plus hot coffee," deeming it "just fine." This indicates that a hot breakfast is indeed offered, providing a significant amenity for guests.

Regarding customer interaction and efficiency, a positive review praised the staff, specifically mentioning "Jazzy and his staff were great" and that they "got us through and in our rooms quickly" even during a late 2 AM check-in due to flight cancellations. This suggests a capacity for efficient handling of arrivals, even under challenging circumstances.

However, service quality can be inconsistent according to other feedback. A negative review starkly contrasted this by stating that the "only employee on duty had zero intention of ever cleaning it up" when referring to vomit at the entrance and described this employee as someone "who clearly hated his job." This review also mentioned a problematic check-in experience where a booked king-size bed room was not available, and the guest was given "an even better room with TWO queen size beds" despite not needing them, implying a lack of transparency or flexibility in room assignments.

Cleanliness, a fundamental service, received conflicting reports. A positive review stated, "the room was immaculate. I'm talking very crisp and clean," suggesting high standards of housekeeping within the guest rooms. Conversely, the negative review's initial observation of vomit at the entrance raises significant concerns about the immediate exterior cleanliness and staff's responsiveness to such issues.

While not explicitly detailed in the reviews, standard Holiday Inn Express services typically include free Wi-Fi, a 24-hour front desk, and basic in-room amenities. Given the provided customer experiences, potential guests should be aware that while certain services like breakfast and check-in efficiency can be excellent, other aspects of staff attentiveness and overall property maintenance might vary. For any specific service inquiries, contacting the hotel directly at (718) 558-4001 or +1 718-558-4001 is recommended.

Features:

The Holiday Inn Express Jamaica - JFK Airtrain - NYC by IHG offers a set of features primarily geared towards convenience and essential comforts for travelers. One of its most significant features is its strategic location, as highlighted by a satisfied customer who praised it as "great" due to its proximity to public transportation. Specifically, the ability to "walk 2 blocks and hop on the E train to Times Square or hop on the Air Train to go to JFK" is a key selling point. This direct access to major subway lines and the AirTrain positions the hotel as an exceptionally convenient base for both airport transit and exploring popular New York City attractions. For guests arriving or departing from JFK, this feature significantly reduces travel time and complexity.

Room features, based on the positive review, include cleanliness and comfort. The description "the room was immaculate. I'm talking very crisp and clean" indicates a focus on maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation within individual accommodations. While not explicitly detailed, standard Holiday Inn Express rooms typically come equipped with private bathrooms, air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and amenities like a desk/workspace, catering to both leisure and business travelers. However, a negative review did mention a discrepancy in room type, where a guest who booked a single king-size bed room was provided with a room featuring "TWO queen size beds," suggesting that while rooms are available, specific configurations might not always be guaranteed upon check-in.

Another key feature is the complimentary hot breakfast, which, despite the absence of pancakes, was appreciated for its "delicious sausage, egg and cheese omelets and hot coffee." This provides a valuable amenity for guests, offering a convenient and substantial start to their day without additional cost. Furthermore, as an IHG property, guests can generally expect the standard brand features such as loyalty program benefits (IHG Rewards Club) and often complimentary Wi-Fi, which is crucial for modern travelers to stay connected. The hotel's 24-hour front desk, implied by the late check-in described in a review, is another important feature ensuring guest support around the clock. The presence of these core features aligns with the expectations of travelers searching for reliable accommodation through "Hotels Near Of Me" platforms.

Promotional Information:

While no explicit promotional offers were provided, the Holiday Inn Express Jamaica - JFK Airtrain - NYC by IHG, like other hotels in the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, would typically leverage its core strengths to attract guests. For local users and travelers, promotional messaging would likely center on its highly convenient location and essential amenities.

Potential promotional highlights would emphasize the hotel's unparalleled access to transportation. Slogans such as "Your Gateway to NYC and JFK" or "Direct Access to AirTrain and Subway" would strongly resonate with those needing quick connections. The benefit of "Complimentary Hot Breakfast to Start Your Day Right" would be a common draw, highlighting the value added by a included meal, especially in a city known for its dining costs.

Promotional campaigns might also focus on different travel segments. For airport travelers, messaging like "Seamless Airport Connections for Stress-Free Layovers" or "Ideal for Early Departures or Late Arrivals at JFK" would be relevant. For those exploring the city, promotions could emphasize "Easy Access to Manhattan via the E Train" or "Explore Queens from Our Convenient Hub."

As part of the IHG family, the hotel would also likely promote enrollment in the IHG One Rewards loyalty program, offering points for stays that can be redeemed for future nights or other benefits. Guests might be encouraged to book directly through IHG channels for best rate guarantees or exclusive member rates. Special packages could include "Park, Stay, and Fly" deals for those needing parking while traveling from JFK, or "Long-Stay Discounts" for extended visits.

Given the mixed reviews, any promotional material would likely focus on the consistently positive aspects such as the cleanliness of rooms and the efficiency of some staff members, while subtly navigating the challenges of its urban environment. Value for money, particularly when considering the high cost of lodging in New York City, would also be a key promotional angle. For the most current and specific promotional offers, prospective guests are advised to visit the official IHG website for this property or contact the hotel directly using the provided phone numbers: (718) 558-4001 or +1 718-558-4001.

Most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at. The first thing we saw when we arrived was the front, sliding glass doors covered in orange vomit. We had to step over the vomit to get inside, and the only employee on duty had zero intention of ever cleaning it up. We were then told by this employee, who clearly hated his job, that the room with a single, king-size bed we booked was not available and there might actually not be any available rooms. But then said not to worry, because he found an even better room with TWO queen size beds which we had no need for. The location was awful as well and is definitely not a place you should ever go out at night. People were outside our room all night yelling, honking, with non-stop police sirens. I went into the lobby rather late to find some water and found a handful of prostitutes awaiting their ride and smoking inside. Do yourself a favor when you get stranded at JFK and pay an extra $100 or whatever to stay at any other hotel. This one was a truly awful experience.

Due to a cancelled flight we had to book a late, last minute hotel room for the night. The hotel was about 15 minutes away from JFK which was about $20 for an Uber. The hotel was quite basic but fine to stay for a night. The reception do offer some snacks and drinks but these hadn't been restocked and were out of basically everything. In their defence this was quite late for checking in. The hotel room was spacious but nothing special, the room was quite cold, the Aircon / heating was very noise and there was a draft coming from the window despite being closed. In the hallway the maintenance room wasn't too far and was very loud, I feel for anyone that gets given the room directly opposite. Breakfast was included however this was one of the worst breakfasts I've seen. The pancake machine was out of order, there was only 1 yoghurt, some scrambled egg and greasy looking turkey burgers, Safe to say I passed on this prior to flying. I'd suggest the breakfast facilities and offering be rethought. Whilst adequate for a single nights stay, I wouldn't choose to stay here any longer.

Service: provided by Vincent and impeccable. Could not ask for a nicer person. If you have a struggling situation (like a cancelled flight after midnight), Vincent is amazing and understanding. Room: I kindly requested any room that’s quiet and dark. Vincent got me a west-facing room high enough to where the noise of the street was rarely heard. Glorious. The 4/5 is that it took me a minute to figure out how to turn off the loud hvac unit. There’s another review about the loud units and they were not lying. But you can turn it off with a button on the plug-port thing in the outlet. Location: considering it’s a short 3 block walk from the Jamaica air train station, it is generally quite convenient for those needing to leave from JFK! Cleanliness: 5/5 Pillow options: 5/5 Personal improveables: where is the water that isn’t a $2 bottle? An extra or heavier blanket? I probably could’ve asked the front desk person, but didn’t.

I enjoyed our stay. But was a bit disappointed with the microwave they need replacement inside very rusty. The heater wasn't working all that great. Breakfast was good quite a variety.
