Front desk lady was so nice when we checked in. Rooms are nice but carpet could use a cleaning. Foot stool was stained or dirty not sure. Bed were to hard to sleep good. Pillows were nice gave 4 soft and 4 firm. Pool was great for the kids even though chlorine was so strong it was burning my eyes and I wasn't even in the pool. Breakfast was horrible...no bacon or sausage, pancake maker was broke & orange juice was like they added extra sugar. So opted for cinnamon roll which was surprisingly good and a banana nut muffin that was hard so I didn't even eat it. Spent $158 for one night because of the pool and good amount of hot food available for breakfast to only be disappointed.... next time I'll find somewhere different even if it's a longer distance from the college.

Plantation Road provides relatively easy access to Virginia Tech University, which is often just a short drive away (approximately 2 minutes or 1.7 km). This makes the hotel a practical choice for attending campus tours, sporting events at Lane Stadium or Cassell Coliseum (both around a 5-minute drive), or visiting students and faculty. The Lyric Theatre, a downtown cultural landmark, is typically a short drive away (around 5 minutes or 3.8 km), as are various local restaurants, shops, and businesses that define Blacksburg's vibrant town center. For those arriving by car, the complimentary self-parking on-site, including space for larger vehicles, is a welcome convenience. While it provides good access to the university area, visitors should note that a car or ride-share service would generally be recommended for exploring the broader town or accessing more distant attractions. May 29, 2025 · Jess PowersPro: Good Value and close to Campus Con: Concrete for a Mattress, and in our room we had fruit flies as pets. Location is great but not worth the price when compared to Resident Inn or Hyatt located across from Campus. If visiting outside a Graduation or Major event, better places closer to Campus.
May 12, 2025 · william correaI was here for a quick stay of one night. The hotel was dirty, paint chipped, and floors dirty. The room was in the same condition. The air was on and it was 47 degrees out. When I tried the heat a terrible smell came out and filled the room. The room looked as if it could use updates. The breakfast was fine but the floor in the room where breakfast was held was so sticky. Upon arriving home I contacted the hotel because I left a hair straightener behind($$). The Front desk worker asked that I call back three different times, an hour and a half apart each, as she checked with the housekeeping manager each time and they told me nothing was found in the room. I gave the exact location of where I left it and they’re telling me that it was not there. This is unacceptable as I know it was there and someone has a new hair straightener in Florida. I will not stay ant the Florida plantation holiday in. Express again.
Jan 26, 2025 · Christy GrandeRooms are clean and updated, hotel is very clean and majority of staff were great. Had a few booking issues the required corrections. The breakfast guy is worse than the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. It there is a line of people getting food he will consistently get between you and yell at you to shut the lids literally as set down the spoon and as you were reaching for the next one. Stayed here almost a week and he was a dick everyday to us along with all there long term railroaders that were staying here
Apr 01, 2025 · Madison TolleyThe mattress had deep divots from previous people sleeping on it and needs to be replaced. At 9 a.m., the complimentary breakfast has barely anything left, and they have no plans to restock even though the sign says it lasts until 10:30 a.m. Orange juice is empty, eggs are gone, and pastries are picked over. Location to Virginia Tech is wonderful.
