Close to everything which was convenient. Parking available on site which was also convenient. But everything was pretty loud also. We had an end suite that was closest to Main Street and you can hear everything. Loud traffic, music and people late at night walking on the street. Nicely decorated hotel, very friendly staff. Cute little bowl of candy out for guests (which my little one loved). The king mattress we had was very hard, lumpy and uncomfortable. The pull out couch that my little one slept on had springs that were apparent, and this was actually better to sleep on than the bed. There were two tv’s in the suite which would have been nice if the one with the pull out couch worked for our kiddo. I do not think we will be visiting this particular place again, convenience doesn’t trump over comfort for us.

Dec 20, 2024 · Jessica MartinI only write reviews when a place is really good or really bad. This place was horrible. The room was so damp that the carpeting was wet. Shameful that they charge people to stay there.
May 17, 2025 · Tom FExcellent location right next to VT; can’t ask for more convenience to drop off my incoming freshman. The building has been renovated but still maintained the historic sense. Parking is extremely limited since it’s downtown. Overall rooms is spacious and very soundproof.
Aug 25, 2024 · Tony WongCan’t beat the location, and the mattress and shower head pressure (very important things here!) were great. Glad it was an “off” weekend for VT events because I didn’t pay the prices charged during those times. I’ve stayed in more comfortable hotels in Blacksburg and Christiansburg at better prices. Rooms here smell stale and old. Lighting is horrid. Didn’t want to touch the couch, tvs were at most 32” (possibly smaller) - not HD so couldn’t see 1/3 if screen, clock didn’t work (and I mean it didn’t tell time). The provided soap was about 1-1/2” long and 1” wide and very drying — Received one for shower and sink…lol. Everything worn and old. Parking was free and across the street, which I didn’t mind. Not worth the hype I’d heard about. And yes, before the owners say it — you can’t beat the location. However, I feel location can only cover so much.
Sep 30, 2024 · Tamara SchultzLocation cannot be beat in this college town! Rooms are really best for a couple. The pull out sofa is very uncomfortable. Fridge is super small and the den area of our room was dimly lit. But… yes I would stay here again because it is clean, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and the location is convenient.
