While having a thankfully non-eventful drive up to New Hampshire for the first time from Pennsylvania for my brothers graduation I got a phone call from this hotel 40 minutes before my reservation telling me my card was declined and that they needed a new card to ensure I could pay for the room prior to my arrival. I have stayed at many hotels and never once had this happen so I explained that to the front desk staff that helped me and told her I like to use credit cards for travel so my credit cards aren’t compromised. I asked her if I could split the payment between two credit cards (my card declined because I only authorized a set amount and they charged a bunch of fees on top of what I originally agreed to pay). She declined to accommodate, so I ultimately gave my debit card info. I called the corporate office and it took 20 minutes for the person on the line to even understand what my issue was. The front desk was extremely rude, not hospitable at all and also mentioned the hotel was full so it seemed like she was trying to open up rooms to charge a higher rate- but the person on the phone thought after multiple explanations that my room had no been confirmed. Upon arrival to the hotel the front desk told me I was getting 2k complimentary points to which I replied I didn’t need them because I would never be booking with them again. I thought this would be the last of our troubles but it was not. My brother also stayed at the same hotel where he booked a king suite, but they gave him a standard room without offering to decrease his rate or anything! Then on top of that they had 5 people in their room and they were being extremely stingy with towels despite them having multiple people and staying multiple nights. The room keys failed multiple times, so much so that they ended up moving my brother to another room the second night of our stay. I overheard another guest complaining about the same issue with the room keys. The pool was a nice temp, but was riddled with hair. I very single time you put a finger underwater you came up with a piece of hair on it, it was absolutely disgusting. Our last night at the hotel we decided to play a game that required dice. We rolled the dice and one went under the sofa. When we went to grab it the amount of dirt and dust under there was absolutely appalling. My whole hand was covered in black dust/dirt. I 100% will NEVER be staying at another holiday inn. I’m one of their members and have some points saved up that will never be used as a result of their inhospitable nature, their lack of cleanliness, and their horrible customer service practices. The holiday inn I use in PA does a wonderful job, but I will not patronize this company again since they’ll give anyone a franchise, including those who don’t have a customer service bone in their body.

I had a highly disappointing stay at Holiday Inn Hampton South Seabrook. Upon arrival at midnight, there was no staff available to check us in. We were left stranded for over an hour and a half (12:00 AM - 1:30 AM), forced to spend this time on the phone with customer service trying to resolve the issue. This was an unacceptable start to the stay. The issues continued in our room. The bed sheets were visibly stained, and we couldn’t get replacements until the next morning due to a staffing shortage. Additionally, the shower took several minutes to warm up and never reached a sufficient temperature, making it an unpleasant experience. Throughout the stay, the staff failed to acknowledge or apologize for these problems. It wasn’t until the very end of our stay that there was any acknowledgment of the inconveniences we faced. The only positive aspect of the experience was the continental breakfast, which was well-prepared and enjoyable. However, this single highlight doesn’t make up for the numerous issues encountered during our stay. Overall, I was very dissatisfied with my experience and would not recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made to staffing and service.

We encountered multiple issues during our stay at the Holiday Inn Hampton South-Seabrook. First, when we arrived to check in, there were no staff members available. In fact, it wasn’t until around 1:30 AM that someone finally arrived to assist us, after we made several calls to the Holiday Inn support line and waited for over an hour and a half. Things didn’t improve once we got to our room. The bedsheets were stained, and due to the late hour and lack of staff availability, we weren’t able to get fresh linens until the following morning. Additionally, the shower was problematic—it took several minutes of running water before it became lukewarm at best, and it never reached a satisfactory hot temperature. What made these issues worse was the lack of attention from the staff, who didn’t acknowledge or address any of our concerns until the end of our stay. Given the poor service and cleanliness, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable and hassle-free experience. However, I will note that the continental breakfast was well-maintained, which was a small positive.
