Good water pressure in the shower, comfortable bed, soft sheets, great chargers near the bed, all pluses that made this an enjoyable trip. The attached Mexican restaurant was an added bonus. Jan 11, 2025 · J. Brian MitchellMy wife and I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Hazlet and do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. The hotel is old and poorly maintained as evidenced by the horrible condition of the rooms. The staff failed to adequately respond to maintenance issues. We also noticed several unsavory individuals hanging around the outside of the hotel.
May 10, 2025 · Charm City HomesThe room was fine, the young lady at the front desk was lovely. However I had my 2 Chihuahuas with me. The hotel allows dogs for $35 each extra, but then sort of treats you like second class citizens. People with dogs are only allowed to stay in one section, all the way at the back of the hotel, ground floor only, through an unattractive entrance (C) where the door doesn't necessarily close on its own so anyone can walk in. I didn't have to use my key because the door wasn't tightly closed and locked. I actually moved furniture against my room door because I didn't feel safe. I'm very grateful they accepted pets, but if people have to pay extra to do that, they shouldn't be exiled to a lesser situation. Also, the beds are too high for senior or disabled persons.
Feb 04, 2025 · Kathleen FitzgeraldOn Thanksgiving, the power went out in many small towns, including mine.. I went to this place, and they would not offer any sort of discount because of a local issue of power, but I did pay for a room.. I asked if the restaurant was still open( it was 8:00 pm on thanksgiving) and was told the sign says it is closed.. and its a sign on the floor about four feet away from the front desk.. I was told very few rooms were available( so they closed the dining and bar?) and took my room just wanting a heated room for the night, not knowing when JCPL would get the power back for me! The place is very old looking, and asking high prices.. Room was very old as well, and not very comfy. I spent the next few hours just trying to eat something from wawa and relaxing.. i went to the bathroom for the first time right before i went to bed, and the toilet never stopped flushing.. after 30 minutes, i went down to the desk to complain.. right away he had me in new room, I thought I was told they were almost booked?? I very quickly got ready for bed, and turned the heater on.. the sound was so loud from the heater, and since it was off, and the room was at high 50's from what thermometer said, took many hours to try to reach the 70 degree I out in, I was awake whole time.. I turned it off about 3:00 am, and tried to get to sleep, with in one hour it was so cold in the room woke me up.. at 7 am I just decided to wake up make coffee, and get ready to go home to shower( I knew the power was on now) before I had to be at work at 11:am. and I did place an 8am wake up call with first room, and when I transferred, I did tell the person make sure you put the wake up call to this room, which he said he will!?? never got it. I did not sleep more than two hours the whole night..I complained to the front desk about all this! and was just told by the two young female staff, ok we are sorry.. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE! the insulation is horrible from what I had! And the heater is way too loud with noise! Oh and I pointed out to the morning staff how the parking lot was less than half full, but yet I was told they were almost full!!??? is this the lies they tell people to feel like they have to book the room before it gets full? And there was no sense of trying to be helping a local resident, (who might refer the hotel to a family member visiting in the future?) and be a helpful neighbor for the area? so sad Holiday inn is part of this small time piece of S!
Dec 10, 2024 · Brian WGood things. Bed is very comfortable. Decent bathroom. Girl at check in gave me 4 bottles of water. Bad things No marketplace. Only vending machines. Candy machine(if you can find one.) Only takes quarters. Soda machine in 2nd floor won't take dollars. If your gonna take out the marketplace, at least have snack machines from this century that takes bills or CC. And make sure soda machines work. Rooms have 27 inch TV. Must have gotten them on black Friday sale 20 years ago when flat screen first came out. Access panel to AC is in the bathroom. Mine was hanging on by 2 screws. Looked like it was about to fall on my head. Limited USB options and they don't work. Also.no free breakfast. Has an attached restaurant but limited breakfast and at least $18.00 for it. Could use a update as it's dated, but bed was good. Shower was good and hot. Girl at check in was very nice. Just needs to fix the snacks and soda machines and have a discount for guest to eat breakfast. Not worth the $140. Per night. Update...12-13-24. While I appreciate the reply by the owner...how about caring enough about guests issues to respond with something more personal that a auto filled generated response. When you post the same generic response to every complaint...it really only shows how much you really care and that you really won't do anything about it. I will be staying there again in about a month so we will see just exactly how much you do for my return visit.
