We had a quick trip, one night, rooms were nice. Staff was great but the breakfast was HORRIBLE especially since you have to pay for it. Breakfast was from 6:30-10 per one of the hosts that assisted us so you鈥檇 expect for ALL the breakfast to still be hot at 9am . The bacon, sausage, French toast and potatoes were all cold, not lukewarm but COLD. Unfortunately we had to still get breakfast somewhere else.. DO BETTER Holiday Inn馃槖
For travelers seeking convenient and reliable accommodation in the Philadelphia area, especially those arriving by air or attending events at the city's iconic sports stadiums, the Holiday Inn Philadelphia Arpt-Stadium Area by IHG often appears as a prominent option within the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform category. This category is designed to connect users with immediate lodging solutions, and the Holiday Inn, as a globally recognized brand under the IHG umbrella, is often a go-to choice due to its consistent standards and widespread presence. This detailed introduction will provide an objective overview of the Holiday Inn Philadelphia Arpt-Stadium Area, covering its environment, services, features, and some insights into promotional aspects, all based on available information and recent guest reviews.
The Holiday Inn Philadelphia Arpt-Stadium Area by IHG is strategically located at 2033 Penrose Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19145, USA. This address places it in close proximity to both the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and the city's major sports complex, which includes Citizens Bank Park (Phillies), Lincoln Financial Field (Eagles), and the Wells Fargo Center (76ers, Flyers). This dual convenience is a significant advantage for various types of travelers, from those on quick layovers to sports fans and concert-goers. The hotel can be contacted directly at (215) 336-4600 or via mobile at +1 215-336-4600, providing easy access for reservations and inquiries, a crucial aspect for any "Hotels Near Of Me" search.
The general environment of a Holiday Inn, and by extension this specific location, is typically designed to be welcoming and comfortable, catering to both leisure and business travelers. As an IHG property, it adheres to brand standards that aim for a consistent guest experience. While exact aesthetics can vary, Holiday Inn properties often feature a contemporary and functional design in common areas like the lobby, dining spaces, and guest rooms. The term "modern finishes" used in a guest review suggests that this particular Holiday Inn has undergone recent renovations or maintains a refreshed appearance, contributing to a pleasant initial impression. Its location near major transportation hubs and entertainment venues implies a bustling yet accessible environment, characteristic of an airport/stadium area hotel.
In terms of services, guests at the Holiday Inn Philadelphia Arpt-Stadium Area can expect a range of standard amenities common to the Holiday Inn brand. This typically includes a 24-hour front desk for check-in and check-out, providing constant support for guests arriving at various times. Housekeeping services ensure clean and maintained rooms. Given its proximity to the airport, it is highly probable that the hotel offers shuttle services to and from PHL, a critical convenience for airport travelers. Wi-Fi access is a standard offering across most modern hotels, and Holiday Inn properties are generally equipped with this. For dining, most Holiday Inn locations feature an on-site restaurant or dining area, which is likely the case here, serving breakfast and potentially other meals. There may also be a fitness center and possibly a business center, catering to the needs of different guest segments.
Key features of the Holiday Inn Philadelphia Arpt-Stadium Area would typically include well-appointed guest rooms designed for comfort and functionality. Reviews confirm that the "room and bathroom were clean and spacious," which are fundamental expectations for any hotel stay. The presence of "modern finishes" further enhances the guest experience. While not explicitly stated, common in-room amenities typically include a flat-screen TV, a work desk, coffee-making facilities, and a hairdryer. For those traveling with vehicles, parking facilities are usually available, which is important for a hotel in this area. The presence of a "continental breakfast" is a notable feature, although its quality can be a point of concern, as discussed below.
Promotional information for the Holiday Inn Philadelphia Arpt-Stadium Area would likely highlight its prime location near the airport and stadiums, appealing to specific travel segments. Offers might include packages for sports events or concerts, "park and fly" deals for airport travelers, or discounts for IHG Rewards Club members. The brand's general promotions, such as seasonal sales or discounts for advance bookings, would also apply. The convenience and reliability associated with the Holiday Inn name are often central to its promotional messaging, reassuring travelers who are looking for a trustworthy option through a "Hotels Near Of Me" search.
However, an objective introduction necessitates acknowledging direct customer feedback, which offers valuable insights beyond general brand expectations. Recent reviews for this specific Holiday Inn highlight both positive aspects and areas for improvement. On the positive side, guests have consistently praised the staff, describing them as "great" and "very accommodating." The convenience of the location is also a recurring positive, as are the "modern finishes" and the fact that rooms and bathrooms were "clean and spacious." This suggests that the hotel largely meets fundamental expectations for comfort and aesthetics.
Conversely, a significant point of contention raised in the reviews is the breakfast service. One guest explicitly stated that the "breakfast was HORRIBLE especially since you have to pay for it." They detailed that items like bacon, sausage, French toast, and potatoes were "COLD, not lukewarm but COLD" even at 9 AM, well within the advertised breakfast hours. This led to guests having to seek breakfast elsewhere, indicating a significant dissatisfaction with this particular service. Another minor issue mentioned was a room card consistently malfunctioning, although the front desk was quick to resolve it by changing the room. The observation that "walls were thin" suggests potential issues with soundproofing, which can impact guest comfort and sleep quality, especially in a busy hotel environment.
In conclusion, the Holiday Inn Philadelphia Arpt-Stadium Area by IHG offers a strategically located and generally well-appointed option for those utilizing the "Hotels Near Of Me" platform. Its strengths lie in its convenient access to the airport and stadiums, its modern aesthetic, spacious and clean rooms, and a commendable level of staff attentiveness. These features align well with the needs of various travelers. However, prospective guests should be aware of the consistent negative feedback regarding the quality and temperature of the paid breakfast, and potentially thinner walls. When considering this hotel, it would be prudent to factor in the breakfast experience or plan for alternative dining options, while still being able to rely on a clean room and helpful staff for an overall convenient stay.

Apr 27, 2025 路 Venus Walker CLCConviently located. Modern finishes. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious, but the walls were thin. Nice continental breakfast. Only had thing, my room card kept messing up so I had to change room. Front desk was very accommodating. Will definitely revisit
Apr 27, 2025 路 Nats AnnYou have to pay for parking. $15 a night but there's no assign parking. first come first serve. We only stood there for the weekend. On the first morning (Saturday morning) room service knocked on our door at 9:00. we open the door and refuse the service however when we stepped out to grab something to eat, room service made their way into the room, made the bed but cleaned nothing else. Don't understand why they will come into the room after we had refused the service. Second morning (Sunday) we had a late checkout 1pm. Ended up leaving at regular time around 11am. because we had to answer our room door three times. twice for room service and once for the front desk. Each time letting the staff member know that we had a late checkout. Communication among staffs could be better. Staff can definitely be more friendlier. Otherwise the room was clean and that's the only reason we gave it a two-star rating. Otherwise it would have been zero.
Mar 18, 2025 路 Noelia FernandezWe got an additional RANDOM, NOT MENTIONED $100 charge ON TOP OF the $100 deposit. I called and she said it was an "authorization fee" that we would get back. Okay so you need a $100 deposit and a $100 authorization fee for guests to stay here? This additional charge was a total surprise and not mentioned whatsoever. We are highly upset and will never come back here. Don't charge people fees without making them aware first. We would not have stayed here if we knew this would be the case. $400 to stay one night in a mediocre hotel is insane. UPDATE- It's been almost a month and still have not gotten our money back. I called this hotel several times and they said they released the money to us so now it is up to our bank. OK. I call my bank. My bank says no such thing has happened and now the bank is filing a dispute. DO NOT COME HERE. Horrible, unhelpful, lying staff. P.S. Do not be fulled by the insane amount of fake reviews on here. "Peter S. and Susie Q. etc." It's so obvious. Your hotel is that bad that you need to post tons of fake reviews?
