This was our first time dining here, some good, so not so good. The waiter was polite but a little overwhelmed. We ordered the Prime Rib and the Delmonico Steak. The steak did not resemble any Delmonico Steak I had ever seen. I ordered it medium well, half was rare and half was well done, not sure how that works. We were told they had a new grill or something. The French Onion soup tasted like Italian Onion soup, not very good. Only plus, we had a Bonus Book coupon so we did not pay full price. Very disappointing.

Guests receive details for contactless check-in, typically providing room numbers and access information via phone. A virtual front desk is available to assist with any needs, particularly for late arrivals after 8:00 PM or 10:00 PM, depending on the specific booking platform's information. Check-in starts at 3:00 PM and ends at 10:00 PM, with check-out by 11:00 AM.
  • Dining Experience: The Holly Inn has an on-site restaurant and tavern, which is a significant part of its offering. Reviews highlight a varied dining experience. Some guests have raved about the food, particularly dishes like cream of crab, sirloin, and salmon, describing them as "fantastic" and "delicious." The antique tavern space has a unique personality and charm, featuring antique furnishings. However, some reviews indicate inconsistencies, such as issues with steak preparation (half rare, half well-done) or an "Italian Onion soup" that tasted different from traditional French Onion soup. It appears that the kitchen might have undergone changes, with one review mentioning a "new grill or something." Despite these varying dining experiences, the friendly and funny nature of the waitstaff is often praised.
  • Connectivity: Free high-speed WiFi is available in all rooms, with reported speeds of 25+ Mbps, which is suitable for general Browse and streaming.

  • Housekeeping: Daily housekeeping is available upon request for shorter stays, and weekly rentals receive light cleaning and room inspection every week. Guests can request extra towels by calling the main number.
  • Pet Policy: Information regarding the pet policy is mixed. Some sources suggest the Holly Inn (or Mountain Creek Tavern) does not allow pets, while others indicate it might be pet-friendly for an extra charge (e.g., $15 per pet, per stay, or a $15 per day deposit for pets, with service animals exempt). Given this discrepancy, it is highly advisable for guests traveling with pets to confirm the current pet policy directly with the hotel when making a reservation.
  • Safety and Security: The property is smoke-free, with a $250 fine for any evidence of smoking in rooms. Safety cameras are used throughout the premises. The hotel also has smoke detectors on site. Guests can rest easy knowing there's a carbon monoxide detector, a fire extinguisher, a security system, and a first aid kit on site.

  • Other Amenities: The hotel features coffee/tea in a common area.

Wasn't sure the place was open, the sign was lit but no cars in lot. Walked in and the waitress said have a seat where ever we would like. It was 4 of us. I was kind of optimistic due to no one there but the food was fantastic. We all had cream of crab, which was very good. I had a sirloin/baked potato, my husband and father had salmon/baked potato, my mother had a turkey club. Everyone said their food was delicious. Thr waitress was very nice and kind of funny. I will go back and try something else.

Went here for Thanksgiving day buffet. It was really, really good. The staff was friendly, and there was a great variety of really tasty dishes. I would definitely consider making that a new holiday tradition. I'm also interested in trying them out on a non-holiday occasion.

I had my ceremony and wedding reception here in the banquet room; the owners and staff were absolutely amazing and worked very hard to make sure we were happy. A few of my guests stayed in the rooms, and my husband and I stayed in the largest room. Everyone was very satisfied with their room and how clean it was. I loved our room with the king sized bed and Jacuzzi tub; although it was a little on the small side it was still very nice. As for set up the owners were very hands-on with arranging with the vendors and making sure we had everything we needed. The food was done by Chef Exclusive but was absolutely delicious; we just did appetizers but everyone was raving about the food. My husband was a little upset about a particular dish, but to make up for it the owners gave us a free nights' stay which was very much appreciated. Also, the rent to reserve the banquet room was extremely reasonable, more so than other major venues in the area. So overall, I am very happy with my experience with the Holly Inn and would definitely recommend it as a great venue for any special event.
