May 25, 2025 · TheyusufunalWe stayed here last year. While the hotel was in a good location, the hotel itself left much to be desired. The pool was closed (and again this year someone we know who is currently staying there said the pool is closed again). The rooftop bar advertised on the website was also closed. The hotel room itself looked okay at first, until you took a closer look. The latch on the sliding bathroom door was broken, so the door would always slide part-way open when you tried to close it. The wall between the shower and the rest of the bedroom was partially transparent, so you could very clearly see the person showering as a black shadow from the bedroom. This is fine if it’s just you and your lover staying in the room, but if you’re sharing the room with someone you’re not intimate with it can feel very awkward. There was also signs of water damage in certain places in the room’s walls and ceiling, and the chain on the inside of the door that you’re supposed to be able to use for extra security was broken too. I will say the view from our room’s window was great. We booked a room that overlooked Thomas Circle.
Jun 08, 2025 · Michael HadjiosifThe lobby bar area was nice. Rooms are well furnished and stylish with a good view. Your bathrooms need some work. The tile jobs in the shower are botched. The no edge floor in the shower let water run out, there are rough exposed tile edges that need to be finished, and you have cheap shower curtains be held up by a tension bar. We loved the rooftop when we could actually access it. We were EXTREMELY displeased with the fact that you closed off the pool and rooftop on Saturday. This is pretty much the main amenity you have and a primary reason I actually selected this hotel. As a "host" hotel for pride, you did not fullfill any typical host functions like social mixers or other events. Closing off the rooftop pool to a private event during the Pride Parade was pretty much a slap in the face when you are a host hotel for pride. I would go so far as to say this is a decietful business practice; advertising all these amenities and then limiting their access during prime times your patrons would actually use it. Yes, you did discount your measly amenity fee. However, this is a drop in the bucket compared to the premium you charge for a room during a prime weekend and I came for an experience. I did not complain in the moment because it's not worth my frustrations on a weekend that is supposed to be a celebration, nor would it have given all us hotel patrons access to your pool. We could have easily selected another hotel at a better price that didn't label themselves as a host.
Jun 09, 2025 · Blake HensleyI was in town for a Fitness Competition at the Convention Center, just a few blocks away. Easy walk. My room was comfy and modern. Super comfortable bed and pillows. However, what made my stay immaculate was the service from the staff. Ronald at the front desk took great of me and catered to my needs and schedule as I had to leave my luggage and car at the hotel while I competed. Both Randall and the Valet staff gave impeccable service. It was busy in the hotel all weekend. The volume did not impact their ability to be gracious and helpful. Even the female manager that was still there in the evening were top notch. Will definitely return!
Mar 30, 2025 · Joey ParavatiWe got our hotel room for world pride thinking we would have an amazing stay with a great experience. However we were left completely and utterly disappointed. We made sure to book a hotel with a pool because we wanted to enjoy a swim in the sun. Come to find out on one of the MAIN DAYS of pride they closed their pool for a private event. The pool is even included in the amenities they provide, and on top of that they charge an extra fee for those amenities. Upon talking to the front desk we were told the amenities fee is for the “wifi” as well. I have never heard such blatant disrespect to hotel residence. They are clearly double dipping by advertising and granting access to the pool only to revoke it due to a private event without compensation. I was going to review this hotel wonderfully but this disrespect is unwarranted. I will not be staying here again nor recommending this place to anyone. The irony of the spirit of pride being acceptance, openness and inclusivity to then host an exclusive event is not lost on me.
