Our stay at the Viceroy was fantastic! We were impressed by our room, which was not only spacious and clean but also beautifully updated. The only small hiccup was the room's layout, placing the bed a bit too close to the main entrance for our liking. On the other hand, the bathroom was a highlight – spotless and remarkably large, perhaps even a touch oversized! One minor convenience we missed were coffee pods in the room, but with so many charming cafes nearby, we simply ventured out for our morning brew. The hotel's location is truly superb, offering easy access to a plethora of excellent cafes and restaurants. We appreciated the tastefully decorated lobby, and while the rooftop pool is on the smaller side, the overall rooftop area is a wonderful place to unwind. Valet parking, at $65/night, is consistent with typical DC hotel rates, making it pricey but par for the course. All in all, we had a delightful experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.

Jun 13, 2025 · Hasby TanjungI’ve been a loyal guest at the Viceroy for the past two years, choosing to stay here even when it wasn’t the most economical option simply because I believed in the experience. My first visit was exceptional, I was greeted with hot towels, welcome chocolates, and a level of service that made me feel truly valued. Unfortunately, each subsequent stay has felt like a step down from that original standard. During my most recent visit, the decline was impossible to ignore. I struggled to communicate with the receptionist at check-in, and no effort was made to clarify or assist. Housekeeping didn’t show up for multiple days, even after I specifically requested service using the hotel’s own text system. When I asked about my usual room type, I was met with confusion. Staff were unfamiliar with room layouts and unable to help. The café, which I always looked forward to, wasn’t even properly stocked and there were no muffins at all on the second day. Landscaping and garbage truck activity started early in the morning, interrupting sleep, and the common areas I used to enjoy was closed for an event, which is understandable but without notice. What once felt like a thoughtful, high-end experience now feels disorganized and indifferent. I genuinely hope the Viceroy can return to the level of service that made me fall in love with it in the first place.
May 26, 2025 · Harry GrigoryanThis hotel was nice, but please be advised that they have a policy I’ve never seen before, and I travel a lot for work. If you decide to check out early, they will charge you the room rate for the night you didn’t stay, and then they will double it. So, to be clear, I checked out on Thursday night instead of Friday morning, and they charged me for Thursday night (understandable) AND a fee that amounted to an additional night’s stay. This is crazy, and was not explained to me when I checked out. I was told they would just charge me for the full stay, which I understood. They refuse to remove or amend the charge - so, beware! Also, I stayed on the third floor right over the back of the hotel, and I could hear the grinding of the trashcan all night long. Not great for a good night’s sleep. Edit: A manager reached out and refunded the fee for me. Thank you for taking the feedback seriously!
Jun 07, 2025 · Danica J.I had an amazing experience at Viceroy DC! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, with a stylish and inviting atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making my stay even more enjoyable. The location is perfect—convenient and central, making it easy to explore the city. One of the highlights for me was the beautiful art displayed throughout the hotel, including my own work, which was such an exciting moment! The event space is well-designed and ideal for gatherings, and there are so many great photo ops throughout the property. Highly recommend staying here!
Mar 07, 2025 · Inspire TeamWe stayed one night at the Viceroy DC. The staff was friendly, efficient, and helpful, and the room itself was spacious and clean. The location is excellent—within walking distance of major landmarks and plenty of great dining options. However, a few aspects left something to be desired. Despite requesting a quiet, high-floor room, we were placed on the second floor between the elevator and service closets, which led to frequent hallway noise. The water pressure in the shower was weak, the toilet paper was noticeably thin, the bed felt short for a queen, and the hallways had a stale smell. Be aware of additional costs: $60 per night for valet parking and a $40 resort fee added at check-in. While the decor aims for a high-end feel, some elements come off as more style than substance. Overall, it was a decent stay given the location, but we’ll likely explore other options next time.
