---- Edited in response to hotel's reply: Thank you for responding to my review. I went back again to your listing on Expedia, where I initially booked my stay. This made me even less content about the supposed disclosure. The price listed at check out was clearly marked "Total includes taxes and fees". It is disingenuous and in direct contradiction to then add extra fees in the fine print. The front desk mentioned amenities at check in, but not the daily food credit, nor the fact that all this comes at extra mandatory charges to the unknowing customer. ---- Original review: Nice stay marred by hidden "Destination Fee"... Overall, my stay was excellent. The front desk staff at check-in went above and beyond to help combine my two back-to-back reservations, with only a small transparent upgrade fee, so I wouldn’t have to switch rooms. Of that, I really appreciated. HOWEVER, my positive experience was dampened when I received my bill after checkout and noticed a $20-per-night “Destination Fee” that hadn’t been clearly disclosed. While it's a relatively small amount, it felt like a hidden charge and left a bad impression. It was frustrating to only discover it after leaving the hotel, in a bill attached in an email. Although I understand it was technically included in the fine print, most reasonable customers wouldn’t notice it ahead of time. It’s a disappointing end to what was otherwise a great stay, and it undermines the trust and goodwill that had been established.

However, it is crucial for prospective guests to be aware of the "Destination Fee" (e.g., $23.19 to $29.24 plus tax per night). While the hotel states this fee covers various amenities such as a food credit, discounted attraction tickets, premium Wi-Fi, and fitness center access, some guests have found it to be a "hidden charge" that was not clearly disclosed during the initial booking process, leading to frustration upon receiving the final bill. Travelers are advised to carefully review the total price and any additional fees before confirming their reservation. Other minor considerations from past reviews include occasional issues with room amenities like dripping showers or insects, though staff are generally responsive. Check-in time is from 4:00 PM, and check-out is until 12:00 PM. The minimum check-in age is 21. For direct inquiries, the hotel can be reached at (617) 492-1234 or +1 617-492-1234. May 19, 2025 · J YA good experience overall. The front desk and room service are friendly and considerate. I’m not entirely satisfied with room amenities, however. Our shower was dripping water when turned off and my companion found her neck bitten by mosquito or something else. A big thank you to the driver of the shuttle service. He is very patient and helpful.
May 20, 2025 · Baiyi ZhangStayed here for a couple of nights and enjoyed my stay. Got upgraded to a river view room and that was nice :) They have a shuttle that takes you around Cambridge and they will store your luggage for you after check-out. Staff was friendly and hotel coffee shop was good. Slept very well on both nights as the beds/pillows were comfortable. No noise from neighbors. Would stay here again.
Mar 22, 2025 · Millie RinconIt's a nice, if a bit older hotel. Great breakfast for globalist. Location is kind of tough because there's not much to walk to (but very close if you wanted to walk/run around the river!) They have a shuttle but it's very sporadic and kind of hard to keep up with. Lots of waiting around for it so we just took Uber. Really nice gym. Restaurant is good. The breakfast sandwich is delicious and I loved the chicken wings. Drinks are a bit pricey but that's pretty normal for hotels. Not sure if we would stay again since there are newer options across the river but if you really have to stay in Cambridge it's solid
Mar 14, 2025 · Justin SniderTHERE IS NO POOL!!! If you’ve clicked on this site you DO see a pool, but beware IT’S A LIE! Booked this hotel because it had a pool which I really medically need. Found out once checked in that the pool was a shell with no water in it. Upon check out I expressed my disappointment on this matter and was told that the google site didn’t have pictures of the pool which isn’t correct. I wish they would have righted the wrong and at best gave me a discount, but they didn’t. The shuttle offered was useless. Will NOT pick up or drop off at the airport. We took the T to the Kendall station then called the shuttle driver. He stated he would be there in 5-10 minutes. I told him our location and to look for a Great Dane service dog and two women. We waited for 15 minutes, but never saw the bus. Ended up in an Uber. That was $10. The shuttle will NOT take the 2 minute drive to BU either . The whole stay just saw the buses sitting outside the hotel idling. Don’t really know what or where they go. Very disappointed! Other than that, the on site restaurant is good, the hotel was clean with clean room, nice view of the river, courteous employees, many elevators, nice outdoor area. Very DIRTY AIR VENTS ! This property is next to MIT campus and a police station. I felt very safe, even when taking the dog out after midnight. Recommended if you travel with a service dog. Lots of close potty areas. Wonderful walk or running paths just outside. Convenient to BU via CT2 bus or 20 minutes walk.
