We stayed in the beginning of Apr, a week before spring break there. The self parking was easy and convenient. The lounge was great but was a bit repetitive if you're thinking to eat every meal there. :) The little snack boxes in the room were nice treats for the kids. Mostly, I left important personal items in the room (I wasn't sure where I lost them but just called to try my luck.) and didn't find out until a week after we checked out. When I called the lost and found and provided my room number, they got them!! This was such a relief. One thing to improve was the shower. The water accumulated for about an inch. We didn't have time to use their other amenities. I would consider to book it again.
For those seeking an exceptional stay under the "Hotels Near Of Me" category, the InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta by IHG presents itself as a distinguished five-star luxury hotel in one of Atlanta's most prestigious neighborhoods. Located at 3315 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30326, USA, and reachable by phone at (404) 946-9000 or +1 404-946-9000, this hotel offers a blend of Southern charm and international allure, catering to both discerning leisure and business travelers.
Dining at the hotel is a highlight, with The Americano, Atlanta's first Italian steakhouse, helmed by celebrity chef Scott Conant. This on-site restaurant offers a sophisticated culinary experience for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, featuring fine steaks, fresh pasta, and Mediterranean seafood. The Bourbon Bar & Restaurant complements the dining experience with a focus on local bourbons and American whiskeys. A coffee shop/cafe is also available for lighter fare and beverages. Room service is offered during limited hours.
For relaxation and wellness, the hotel features a full-service Spa InterContinental, offering a tranquil hub for massages, body treatments, and facials, complemented by a hot tub and steam/sauna facilities. There is also a 24-hour fitness center equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, including Peloton bikes, and Lululemon yoga mats provided in rooms. A heated outdoor saltwater pool, open seasonally, with lounge chairs and umbrellas, provides a refreshing escape.
Additional services include a 24-hour front desk, concierge services, luggage storage, and a business center. The hotel is pet-friendly, welcoming dogs up to 25 pounds for a non-refundable fee per stay, and provides water bowls. For guests with disabilities, accessible rooms are available. The hotel offers valet parking with in/out privileges for a fee, and self-parking is also available, though it comes with a daily charge.
The hotel is a significant venue for events, with over 31,000 square feet of state-of-the-art multi-function space, including two grand ballrooms (the 11,400 sq. ft. Windsor Ballroom and the 6,100 sq. ft. Venetian Ballroom) and 22 modern meeting rooms. This makes it a popular choice for conferences, weddings, and social gatherings, accommodating up to 1,100 guests in a theatre-style setup. The 25,000 sq. ft. Windsor Garden provides an ideal setting for outdoor events. The hotel also offers on-site catering and audio-visual equipment.
The "Lost and Found" service, as highlighted by a customer review, is a notable feature, demonstrating the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction even after check-out. The availability of small snack boxes in the room, mentioned by another guest, adds a thoughtful touch, particularly for families. The hotel's commitment to hygiene and safety is evident through the use of anti-viral cleaning products, daily room disinfection, and physical distancing measures.
Guests should always check the official IHG website or other booking platforms for the most current promotions and special offers. It's important to note that a daily destination/amenity fee is applied to each room, which is a mandatory charge. This fee typically covers benefits like beverage and spa credits, mini-bar credit, premium internet access, house car service within a certain radius, and access to the fitness center. While these amenities are included, some guests, as indicated by a review, have expressed frustration about being charged a mandatory fee regardless of whether they utilize all the included services, especially if initial room issues (like a broken refrigerator) hinder their ability to use credits. The same review also points out potential inconsistencies in housekeeping service, where guests might need to call to request room cleaning. Another review noted issues with shower drainage. While these are individual instances, prospective guests should be aware of these possibilities to set their expectations. Despite these points, the InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta consistently receives high ratings for its prime location, cleanliness, and overall service quality, making it a desirable choice within the "Hotels Near Of Me" luxury segment.

Apr 23, 2025 · Janice HsiaI should have known that after I made a reservation and only then was told about “amenity” fees, that there would be issues. Was told that there was a mandatory daily obligatory fee charged towards in room drinks/snacks, drinks at the hotel bar, and toward spa services- whether I partook or not! Upon check in, my room’s refrigerator was broken and all the beverages inside the fridge were warm. I was offered a room refrigerator instead of a room in working order. Was I supposed to still be charged for the obligatory room drinks/snacks? I persisted and eventually was moved to a new room. Never was able to use my allocation towards the spa due to short notice. By 3:30pm on the day after my arrival my room was still not serviced and I actually had to call housekeeping to have it cleaned! This is not “5 star” hotel treatment!
May 15, 2025 · B KWe had high expectations for InterContinental Buckhead but were extremely disappointed. The breakfast buffet was overpriced and far below five-star standards. Despite having breakfast included in our stay, our only alternative was in-room dining at an extra cost. When we finally got through to order, menu items were unavailable despite being listed. Front desk service was equally poor—Kevan Brown was dismissive, unhelpful, and even insisted we had meal charges we never made. When we asked to speak to a manager, he claimed there was no one available and had no idea when the GM would be in. For a luxury hotel, this level of service is unacceptable. Had we known dining options were so limited due to a fire, we would have stayed elsewhere. Disappointing experience overall. Update: After sharing my initial feedback about our disappointing experience at InterContinental Buckhead, I received a sincere and thoughtful response from the Director of Rooms, who apologised and assured us that steps were being taken to improve the breakfast offering, service culture, and recognition of loyalty benefits. More positively, we were very well looked after today by the team at The Americano. Both the Director, Philip, and the manager were kind, professional, and genuinely apologetic. Their service was a clear improvement and much appreciated — especially in contrast to the unhelpful and dismissive attitude we previously encountered from Kevan Brown at the front desk. While our overall experience has not met the high standards we expect from the InterContinental brand, the recent follow-up has helped to restore some trust. I hope future guests will see the benefit of these improvements. Update 2: Changed my rating to 4 stars based on my follow up and the swift response from hotel leadership
Apr 07, 2025 · Joe GallagherThis is my first time staying at this hotel location. The service was friendly, welcoming and complete. Nothing was missing. The restaurant had a delicious brunch with friendly service. The real treat was the spa and personalized deep tissue massage I received from (Teko spelling?). She is talented! She was a perfectionist and made sure I got exactly what I requested. I felt great after my massage, a little sore where she went extra deep, but I definitely felt good. But 3 days after the massage, I felt flexible and pain free in areas that had been bothering me for months! I can’t wait to come back, and I’ll definitely be sure to order 90 minutes if I can!
Mar 31, 2025 · Wula DawsonThis place is beautiful. Rooms are very comfortable and the staff is great. But I hope you are prepared for $45 dollar parking per night. Also the fridge has no room for anything bigger then a 2 liter of pop and a microwave does not come with the room, it's $30 bucks for the duration of your stay.
