The hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Our room had broken furniture, dirty carpet and smelled badly. The front desk clerk showed me the only other room they had available, which didn't make sense since there were several floors of rooms and only a few cars in the parking lot, and unfortunately it wasn't any better. We stayed as the room was prepaid. However, the next morning there was a $10 parking fee that was mentioned on the website. What hotel not in the heart of a downtown area charges a parking fee. The pool wasn't available. The breakfast was adequate and everyone was friendly. Perhaps the management are just trying to get on their feet with this venture but they have a very long way to go. The shuttle was available but difficult to get to at the airport.

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Atlanta Airport South Introduce

For individuals searching within the "Hotels Near Me" platform category, particularly those seeking accommodation near Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Atlanta Airport South, located at 4820 Massachusetts Blvd, Atlanta, GA 30337, USA, may appear as a potential option. With contact numbers (770) 515-8182 and +1 770-515-8182, this hotel is part of the Wyndham brand, generally known for offering value-oriented lodging. However, it is crucial to provide an objective overview, synthesizing information from recent customer reviews to paint a realistic picture of the guest experience, encompassing its environment, services, features, and any implied promotional aspects.

The hotel's location on Massachusetts Blvd places it in the vicinity of the Atlanta airport, which is often a key criterion for travelers. This proximity is cited as the "only perk" by one reviewer, suggesting that while convenient for airport access, other aspects of the environment fall short. The initial impression upon entering the lobby is described as "looked decent," though immediately followed by a note that it "was not vacuumed or wiped down but still looked presentable." This suggests a superficial cleanliness that does not extend to thorough maintenance. The environmental issues escalate significantly within the guest rooms and common areas. Reviews consistently report a pervasive "smelled badly" or "smelled of weed." The overall cleanliness is severely criticized, with descriptions of "dirty carpet," "visibly see it was not cleaned," and a bathroom "not been cleaned to the point where you would feel dirty taking a shower." Furthermore, concerns about the immediate surroundings include "glass in the entire parking lot," indicating a lack of exterior upkeep and safety. The overall environment, as depicted by multiple guests, is one of neglect and poor hygiene, leading to a highly unpleasant stay experience.

In terms of services, the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham brand typically aims to provide essential services like complimentary breakfast, Wi-Fi, and shuttle service. Reviews indicate that "the breakfast was adequate," suggesting it fulfills a basic need, and a "shuttle was available." However, the shuttle is noted as being "difficult to get to at the airport," which diminishes its convenience. A significant service-related issue is the hotel's policy on refunds and room changes when guests encounter problems. One guest was "denied the refund because we had been checked into the room for more than 4 hours," despite having not properly inspected the room due to an immediate family function. When moved to a different room, it was also "not cleaned," demonstrating a systemic issue rather than an isolated incident of poor service. While some staff interactions are described as "friendly," this positive aspect is heavily outweighed by the inability or unwillingness to resolve fundamental guest issues, such as unclean rooms. The imposition of a "$10 parking fee that was mentioned on the website" is also a point of contention, as such fees are unexpected for a non-downtown hotel, adding to the perception of poor value and potentially hidden costs.

The features of the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Atlanta Airport South are heavily scrutinized in customer reviews, revealing significant deficiencies. While the concept of amenities like a pool and workout area exists, they are reportedly "not available" or of poor quality. The "pool wasn't available," and the "workout area only had 3 machines with an unpleasant smell as well." In-room features are even more concerning: "broken furniture," "dirty carpet," "stained and had cigarette burns" on sheets, "towels had strands of hair in them," and a "worn down with stains" couch. Critical safety features are also reportedly missing or compromised: "no heavy duty lock on the door," "window in the room was wide open without a screen," and "no smoke detectors in the room." The ultimate and highly disturbing feature reported is the presence of "ROACHES in our room," which is a severe health and hygiene issue. Furthermore, there are reports of extremely questionable practices in the laundry room, where "they put the clean sheets on the dirty floor!" This directly contradicts basic hygiene standards and undermines any claim of providing clean bedding. For "Hotels Near Me" searchers, these reported features represent a significant red flag regarding the hotel's overall condition and guest safety.

Promotional information for a hotel under the Wyndham brand would typically highlight its affordability, convenience, and standard amenities like free breakfast and an airport shuttle. However, the overwhelming negative feedback in the reviews directly contradicts these potential promotional messages. The sentiment "You get less than what you pay for" and "Highly recommend not staying here unless you want to bring roaches home with you" are powerful deterrents that severely undermine any positive promotion. While the "close to the airport" aspect is indeed a geographical perk, it is the only one consistently acknowledged. The reported discrepancies between advertised amenities (e.g., pool available) and their actual unavailability or poor condition also damage the hotel's credibility and promotional efforts. The explicit call to "Do not stay here" serves as the strongest possible anti-promotion. The reviews suggest that the hotel, despite its brand affiliation, is struggling significantly with basic operations, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. For individuals utilizing "Hotels Near Me" to find a reliable place to stay, the objective information from these reviews indicates that this particular La Quinta Inn & Suites location currently offers a very poor value proposition, with significant concerns regarding hygiene, safety, and basic functionality, making it a highly questionable choice for accommodation.

You get less than what you pay for. Do not stay here. When we entered the lobby looked decent. You could tell it was not vacuumed or wiped down but still looked presentable. However once we got to our room you could visibly see it was not cleaned. The sheets were super dirty. The room smelled of weed. The couch was worn down with stains on it. The bathroom had not been cleaned to the point where you would feel dirty taking a shower. The telephone did not work and there were no smoke detectors in the room. What threw it over the edge was there were ROACHES in our room! I had asked for a refund and to be moved to a different room. The man at the front desk denied the refund because we had been checked into the room for more than 4 hours. Which of course because we checked in and then went to a family function so we didn’t notice anything because we dropped our bags off and left again. When we got moved to a different room it was also not cleaned and there were someone’s false eyelashes on the table. The pool was not open for use as advertised and the workout area only had 3 machines with an unpleasant smell as well. There was glass in the entire parking lot and they make you pay to park your car there. When we saw the laundry room downstairs where they clean the bedding, they put the clean sheets on the dirty floor! It’s close to the airport which is the only perk. Highly recommend not staying here unless you want to bring roaches home with you.

This place gives La Quinta a bad name. I showed up to shattered window glass all over the parking lot because on the previous day a bunch of guests had their car broken into. My room was filthy with tiny cockroaches freely roaming the bathroom floor. There was dried pee ask over the bathroom door and walls. The shower curtain was ripped to shreds. The carpet looked burnt and sticky. But the wrist was the couch, which actually reeked of urine. I was so dead tired I just tried not to touch anything and fall asleep. The sheets were clean at least. But the smell of pee kept waking me up. Other guests said their rooms were all disgusting too.

The location is convenient but PLEASE don’t ever stay here. When we arrived check in was smooth, hotel looked clean and welcoming. We were given our room and the room smelled like smoke. We went to complain and they gave us a second room. The second room had someone already staying in there. So we complained and got a third room, that room too smelled like smoke and the lights were broken. So they gave us a fourth room that was messy but smelled clean. They would not let me cancel my reservation. The Internet does not work so don’t rely on that. Then our car keys were stolen so we had to call police to help us find and get the keys back. A lady with a kid stole them!! Fast forward to check out there was blood all over the lobby and elevator from someone who broke into five cars overnight. I was soooooo happy to check out and go back home!!

If you want to make a bad travel worse, come here. They cut off the airport shuttle at 11:30pm apparently and I wanted for an hour for nothing. I didn’t make it to the hotel until 2am and when I did the room was used. Used soaps, rumpled sheets, etc. it looked like someone stopped in for a quickie and a shower. Also, the entire hotel smelled like a joint. I asked for another room, but the next room had no working AC but at this point it’s almost 3am. This is the first hotel In a very long time I felt unsafe. I barred my door with furniture because the lock was so flimsy. If you are deciding between the airport floor and this la Quinta, choose the floor. I chose this place because I thought you could trust a La Quinta. Well, I guess this is what happens when you assume….
