La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Brooklyn Central

If you want to get high, this is the perfect place for you. The hallways smell like weed constantly!! Bed was very comfy but no housekeeping service. You don't find out about housekeeping until after check in. We were drying off with wash clothes by day 3. Room was a good size and the price point was correct for the area. A great coffee shop (Furmans) near by. Seems very out of place for the neighborhood. Saw a lot of trash and friendly neighborhood rats. It is a non-smoking hotel but our bathroom reeked of cigarette smoke. I have it a 3 because it served our purpose. We only slept and showered in the room. Don't be deterred by the train tracks, it was very quiet at night.

Give this one a pass. Cons: No cleaning service. Had to go out to buy our own soap since there wasn't any in the room and none came upon request. Breakfast service--cereal with a jug of milk sitting out--is questionably safe. Front desk gives an aggressive spiel about late checkout fees upon check-in. Common areas smell despite the non-smoking policy. Train noise is hard to adjust to. Pros: close to the metro. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was decently sized. Towels were brought up when asked for (although ask far in advance of needing them since the wait was long).

Worst hotel I have ever been to. Service was horrible, the front desk staff was outside listening to loud music and smoking on my arrival. Tended to me right away. However, no card key to access rooms, so I had to wait for the front desk staff to check everyone in before I was escorted to my room to be let in, also bedding was clean but damp from not being dried completely. Rooms are small. No parking and area is sketchy. Don't go alone anytime of day trust me. My last day there, they brought card key to my room, but failed to ask me for ID earlier in confirming whether I should have access to room or not. Would never go back even if they offered free nights. Go at your own risk. You have been warned ⚠️

The rooms are clean and the decor is modern. They advertise that there is a gym, which I was looking forward to use but I was told that it was under renovation at the time of my stay 07-10-22. The complimentary breakfast is a joke. It's literally just a single table with some coffee and a few pastries to grab and go. If you go late (after 8:30 am) good luck finding anything. The hallways reeked of smoke and on one night a strange man was knocking at my door. When I asked what he wanted he replied he was "looking for a room". Area is a bit unsafe in my opinion. Overall, I think you are better off spending your money elsewhere if you have the option.

Would not recommend staying at this hotel. The room smelled very bad and was damp due to all the moisture in the air. The hallway smelled like someone was smoking marijuana every evening. Our room was never cleaned in the 5-nights we stayed. I had to ask for toilet paper and clean towels. They brought the towels and toilet paper in separate bags and instead of gathering the dirty towels and putting the toilet paper in the bathroom, they just left the bags on the dresser. I realize you get what you pay for in NYC but I thought that staying at a chain hotel we would have had a little better experience.
