I would leave zero stars if able. I was looking forward to booking here has it had good reviews for being clean and close to where to the AF while being there to visit my son. Upon looking at the website, it states that they have non-smoking rooms and after I booked my room for myself, my daughter and her friend, I realized that the room booked with smoking. I purchased the booking protection as always because any issues can arise. I canceled this reservation and attempted to find a non-smoking room, but there were none available. I initiated the booking protection to cancel this room with full refund. My daughter is severely allergic to smoke and has asthma. I had to book another hotel while I anticipated my refund from this one. It’s been over a week now and after several phone calls and emails to this hotel, I have been met with very rude people on the phone and when asked to speak to a manager on duty every time, they conveniently never there. I have received no follow up phone calls or emails. After speaking with Expedia and Hotels.com, the third parties, I’ve gotten that the hotel keeps denying my claims, even though I purchased the booking protection. The third parties seem to be working on it, but they keep coming back with the same outcome. When I spoke with the lady at the Lodge Inn, she kept telling me it was the third parties decision on whether to give me the refund or not and the third-party company tells me it is the decision of the Inn, so I have been given back-and-forth information since. I have left several emails and phone calls there with no response for over a week. This was $307.83 That they want me to be out of and just drop. I understand the no refund policy if you didn’t purchase the protection plan, but I did, and now getting the runaround to get my refund. Be cautious and mindful when booking with this hotel, keeping us in the back of your mind when doing so. Not everyone is going to be professional and have good customer service like they claim and attention to their policy set forth and that is why I will not stop until the right thing is done. If I have to, I will take legal action for my refund and so this doesn’t happen to any other customers. No one should have to waste there time and money on this kind of thing when trying to have a stay someone to be with loved ones in the military. It’s like, “We got your money, we’re ignoring you and hope you’ll go away!” I’ll be curious if my review even gets published and if half of the reviews are truly real individuals leaving them. Stay clear of this and like hotels. When it seems too good to be true, it usually is. I will not stop until this is made right.
When searching for "Hotels Near Of Me" in the Wrightstown, New Jersey area, the Lodge Inn is a hotel that appears as a budget-friendly option, particularly for those visiting military personnel at nearby Fort Dix and McGuire Air Force Base. Located at 54 Fort Dix St, Wrightstown, NJ 08562, USA, and accessible by phone at (609) 723-2323 or mobile at +1 609-723-2323, the Lodge Inn offers basic accommodations. However, prospective guests should be keenly aware of the highly contrasting and critical feedback regarding customer service and booking policies, which significantly impact the overall guest experience.
Environment: Simplicity and Potential Noise Concerns
The Lodge Inn is described by some guests as "inexpensive and clean," suggesting a basic but well-maintained environment. Its location on Fort Dix Street likely provides convenient access for visitors to the military base. The overall aesthetic of the hotel is expected to be simple and functional, typical of a budget motel. While a positive review highlights cleanliness, a potential environmental drawback noted is that "walls are a bit thin," which "could be a problem for light sleepers." This suggests that noise transfer between rooms might be an issue. There is no information available regarding extensive public spaces, lavish lobbies, or recreational facilities such as pools or fitness centers, which is common for hotels in this price category. The focus appears to be on providing straightforward lodging. The hotel's website reportedly states that they offer "non-smoking rooms," which is a key environmental feature for guests with allergies or sensitivities. However, a customer's experience of inadvertently booking a smoking room and then finding no non-smoking alternatives available raises questions about the accuracy of online inventory or the practical availability of desired room types. The immediate surroundings are likely typical of a small town or area near a military installation, emphasizing practicality over scenic views or bustling activity.
Services: Highly Divisive Customer Service Experiences
The service at Lodge Inn is the most critical and polarizing aspect based on customer reviews. While one brief comment suggests "no complaints" beyond thin walls, a detailed negative review paints a picture of extremely poor and unprofessional service. This guest reports being met with "very rude people on the phone" when attempting to resolve a booking and refund issue. Calls to speak with a manager were met with the response that managers were "conveniently never there," and no follow-up calls or emails were received despite repeated attempts. This customer's experience highlights a significant lack of responsiveness and accountability from the hotel's side, particularly concerning financial matters and policy disputes (e.g., denying refund claims despite booking protection). The customer describes being given "back-and-forth information" between the hotel and third-party booking sites, indicating a lack of transparency and a potential unwillingness to resolve issues. The phrase "We got your money, we’re ignoring you and hope you’ll go away!" starkly summarizes this negative perception of their customer service. This direct contradiction in reviews suggests that service quality is highly inconsistent and can be extremely problematic for some guests, particularly when issues arise that require resolution beyond a standard check-in. The basic services expected at such an establishment would include front desk assistance, but the critical review suggests severe shortcomings in this area when problems occur.
Features: Basic Room Amenities, No On-site Dining
The Lodge Inn offers fundamental features typical of a budget-friendly motel. The key selling points, from a positive perspective, are that the rooms are "inexpensive" and can be "clean." Beyond this, detailed in-room amenities are not extensively highlighted. However, the presence of non-smoking rooms is a stated feature, although its practical availability has been questioned by a customer. The hotel caters to guests seeking a straightforward stay without extensive frills. There is no information to suggest the presence of on-site dining, a fitness center, or a pool. The focus is purely on providing a place to sleep. The property is designed to be accessible, offering parking and a path to the entrance, but specific in-room accessibility features are not detailed. Guests should expect a no-frills experience, where the primary purpose is to provide a bed and a roof over their heads at a low cost. The mention of thin walls suggests standard construction that might not offer much soundproofing, which is a common characteristic in budget accommodations.
Promotional Information: Price as the Primary Draw, Caution Advised
The Lodge Inn's primary promotional strategy appears to be its competitive pricing. Being "inexpensive" is its most significant selling point, making it an attractive option for travelers on a tight budget, particularly those visiting the nearby military installations like Fort Dix. Its proximity to these bases is a key advantage. The hotel is an independent establishment and therefore does not participate in major chain loyalty programs such as IHG One Rewards, Marriott Bonvoy, or Hilton Honors. This means guests will not earn or redeem points for their stays. Promotional efforts would likely focus on direct bookings or through third-party booking sites where its low price point makes it competitive. However, potential guests are strongly and repeatedly warned by a critical review to "Be cautious and mindful when booking with this hotel" and to "Stay clear of this and like hotels." The warning specifically advises against trusting that "everyone is going to be professional and have good customer service like they claim and attention to their policy set forth." The mention of a "no refund policy if you didn’t purchase the protection plan" suggests a strict approach to cancellations, even with booking protection. This severely negative feedback regarding customer service and refund policies demands extreme caution from prospective guests. While the price might be appealing, the potential for significant issues, particularly with booking and refunds, is a major deterrent. It is highly recommended that anyone considering booking with Lodge Inn contact the hotel directly to confirm all policies, especially regarding cancellations and refunds, and to obtain any agreements in writing. Documenting all communications and payments is crucial, as the critical review suggests a challenging experience in resolving disputes. The hotel's appeal is almost solely based on its low cost, which, according to some experiences, comes with considerable risks regarding service and customer satisfaction.

May 23, 2025 · Kimberly BartonInexpensive and clean. Walls are a bit thin which could be a problem for light sleepers but otherwise no complaints.
Feb 01, 2025 · JonSimple but moderately sized rooms. Staff was helpful and friendly. The noises from the groundskeeper were a bit disruptive but understandable given the proximity of the rooms to the Parking Lot. Good place to stay a night or two if passing through.
Jun 25, 2024 · avion pClean, quiet, and comfortable. There were no issues with check-in. The bathroom was a little small, but the shower made it a non-issue for me. No complaints with this stay. Discovered an excellent restaurant in walking distance but delivered for $2. Yordanas pizza. Will definitely stay again when in the area.
