I really wanted to enjoy my stay more, but there were several concerning issues. One of the most noticeable was overall cleanliness and the number of dirty dishes left in the hallways, which remained there from one day to the next without being cleared. Additionally, we were abruptly woken up at 8 AM when housekeeping opened our door. They may have knocked, but since we were asleep, we didn’t hear it. When we mentioned our concern about them entering without a response, we were scolded for not having a privacy tag on the door. In all my years of staying at hotels, I’ve never experienced housekeeping entering so early in the morning—especially without waiting for a clear response. It was even more frustrating to hear them doing the same thing to other guests down the hall after we stopped them. Beyond that, cleanliness and maintenance were also issues. We found leftover food in the refrigerator from the previous guest, which made me question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned. Adding to that, the sink had no hot water, and the toilet had extremely low pressure, making it difficult to flush properly. Overall, this was not my best experience at a Marriott. I expected a higher standard of cleanliness and service, and unfortunately, this stay fell short.

Overall location was good. Service was marginal. Most staff did not smile or even acknowledge you while walking through the halls. I could have overlooked most of the cleanliness issues if staff had been better. They need to be trained better on the Marriott way. The lobby was clean and welcoming but the room was dirty. This is the second Marriott I have had a bad experience with and I'm starting to lose faith in the brand.

One of the best and biggest hotels in the Capital Region that hosts many big and high-level events. Many amenities and options for various needs. Great and customer friendly staff. Always enjoy attending events or staying here. Highly recommended for stay or event hosting and catering.

For a NY Marriott, this hotel is showing its age. Elite check in line at this hotel is not recognized, despite a placard and rope denoting as such. So if you happen to check in during a busy time, pack a lunch. If safety is your thing well rest assured staff here don’t verify all access doors are closed (doors on the ground level). It would also track as to why the smell of cigarettes is prevalent. Beds are super comfy and the gentleman in the lounge is friendly and helpful.

Went for a conference. Clean and spacious. Great food and snacks during the luncheon and dinners. The chicken dish they serve was delicious.
